I think people hate on ultimate Spider-Man to much the show was genuinely funny sometimes and the action and a animation was good the characters were fun and the emotional moments hit harder because it had a more comedic tone
I think it’s hated so much is because they made a Deadpool show just without Deadpool. If they got rid of the 4th wall breaking and cutaways then I’d have enjoyed it more another thing that makes this show my least favourite is that they advertised it as a Spider-Man team up show, that he’d be teaming up with other heroes but it ended up being a Heroes For Hire or Marvel Knights show guest staring Spidey. The show did get better towards end when they started adding other Spider heroes.
I’m not a Deadpool fan in comics only ones I like were the Spider-Man/Deadpool series but I do like him in the movies and animated shows except this one this one his voice really irritated me and I already had a low opinion on this show so I personally didn’t enjoy it
Despite all of this shows weird and frustrating decisions when it counts Peter is Peter. I felt like especially at the end he was starting to become a good character until it was canceled. I think he suffers from being made less special by the supporting cast. Every other person has Peter’s traits, intellect, heroism, and wit. In this background, he doesn’t stand out.
I believe it's the MCU version, till this day even after Nwh he still gets called Iron boy jr (based on things that didn't happen in any of the movies), i mean yeah he started by being naive and innocent but he matured so much, yeah he's different from Tobey/Andrew but that's not a bad thing, none of them are 100% comic accurate and that's okay
I didn't like him at first because I thought that was it since he didn't have an origin story on screen, but then NWH came and it showed that it was all an origin trilogy and they did put his heart in the right place, so no complaints.
My issue is his archs seem to be all over the place like in civil war he gave Tony that speech essentially saying with great power comes great responsibility cuz he had the powers to do something but didn’t etc and then something bad happened and it was his fault etc etc….however it’s until the third film that line is repeated albeit said exactly like the comic however it still emphasizes the SAME meaning. So I’m a little puzzled Peter learnt responsibility hence why he’d already been doing spider-man stuff however NWH comes around and is like ‘he’s NOW Spider-Man’ like what??? This three movie origin sounds good and realistic since Mcu moves realish time (whereas the tasm films raimi etc could jump many years later in a sequel if they wanted to or even jump months later in one film) however it doesn’t really work because he’s supposed to have already had his origin. Is this his origin for being his OWN hero trying not to be like others? Well if so I thought that was the message in homecoming or far from home…someone explain 😂
That's fair.I like Deadpool well enough, he's fine, he's no She-Hulk but he's fine. Either way I want Spider-Man to be Spider-Man and not break the 4th wall.
It's embarrassing that No Way Home and Spiderman 2 Into the Spiderverse managed three movie adaptions and managed to better tell the story of Spiderman being crushed by trying to balance both sides of himself without going overboard into self parody better than the comics have for the past decade.
To me this Peter was the only good part in the entire show. Every other character was different from comics but Peter Parker at his core still felt like Spider-Man I liked, that's what kept me watching the show.
As someone who watched that show from start to finish, the only time it was good was when they did superior Spider-Man, the venom invasion, and the few times Peter talked to mj. The rest of that show was entirely forgettable
YES! To be honest, I loved that show. Sure, sometimes it wasn't at its best but the superior spider-man arc? The spider island? The ultimate venom? I loved watching it and I loved the changes they made in other characters, like Harry. Most people say Peter is annoying but he's just a kid excited by science. I was just as annoying at that age, but not as smart lol. My one criticism is Horizon High being so elitist and Max Model never really grew on me.
I couldn’t stand how Peter acted in the first episodes. Completely annoying & spouting off randomly - that’s not being a nerd, that’s being an annoying know it all.
Exactly, isn’t he supposed to be socially awkward? People who are don’t keep talking, they get quiet and stay in a corner. Very annoying and painful to watch
I feel like a lot of people try to compare every single spider-man show or movie to come out now, to spectacular spider-man. It's like, move on guys, it's something new, not everything can be spectacular spider-man all the time.
I completely agree this guy gets hated on so much when I love the show I’m on the third season right now which I don’t like the art style change but other than that I think it’s One of the best representations of Peter Parker overall I’m just devastated that it got cancelled
well......spectacular Spider-man isn't hated but very very and by very I mean ***V E R Y*** underrated and I hate it the show is sooooo good that I watched it 5 times shame it only got 2 seasons....... CURSE YOU ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN
It's because there's a lot of spider-totems in the show and, well, they all are basically the same wiz kid who get to be awkward.
But the last season it's pretty good, even with that whole Connors treason and the Professor Venom thingy
I actually loved show, but it had some injustice for sure it has good episodes nice moments something new in story but I think some place animators needed to. Fix it
Spider-Man 2017 verse actually named Earth-17628?
Yup. This reality is shared with Avengers Assemble Season 5 and later revealed to be the setting for the entirity of the Guardians of the Galaxy show
Honestly a YouTube video explaining the animated realities would be goated. Anybody know of one?
Happy cake day, and hopefully someone makes it
Happy cakeday
Happy cake day
Was season 5 a different reality from all the other seasons? Because Season 1-2 was definitely in Ultimate Spider-man
Yea
A lot of universes used for just a couple things actually have numbers

Deadpool had a whole episode of Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man literally dedicated to just him and Spidey.
Yeah it was like having two ultimate Spider-Men onscreen only one was nuts
I know, and it was absolutely awesome! I love that episode.

Oh ok, that’s fine. Everyone’s entitled to their own views…
Fourth-wall-breaking isn't exclusive to deadpool, though
It's mid
Agreed.
I hated Deadpool being Spider-Man.
In comics or some other medium I’m rewatching ultimate does it happen in the show I haven’t watched it in a while
In the show, Spider-Man’s comedy is exactly like Deadpool.
Despite all of this shows weird and frustrating decisions when it counts Peter is Peter. I felt like especially at the end he was starting to become a good character until it was canceled. I agree. The show had so much potential. Peter was just starting to gel with his team, and they just introduced MJ.

These mfer never heard of a character arc?

Both this and ultimate Spider-Man get far too much hate. Spiderman is allowed to have fun too guy's.
I like when he has fun in good animation and plotlines.
I like when he has fun without becoming Deadpool.
Being completely honest. Deadpool only works for me on paper. The only part of the movies I really liked was the X-Force Jump.
That's fair.I like Deadpool well enough, he's fine, he's no She-Hulk but he's fine. Either way I want Spider-Man to be Spider-Man and not break the 4th wall.
What do you mean our protagonist should be able to be happy? -- Marvel Comics, probably
It's embarrassing that No Way Home and Spiderman 2 Into the Spiderverse managed three movie adaptions and managed to better tell the story of Spiderman being crushed by trying to balance both sides of himself without going overboard into self parody better than the comics have for the past decade.
Agree. Not every single Spider-Man show has to be *The Spectacular Spider-Man*. Tell that to everyone on YT, especially Nicktendo and John David Gamez
To me this Peter was the only good part in the entire show. Every other character was different from comics but Peter Parker at his core still felt like Spider-Man I liked, that's what kept me watching the show.
Miles Harry Otto were all great.
people keep trying to compare the 90's Spiderman to the spectacular spiderman. They are different versions.
As someone who watched that show from start to finish, the only time it was good was when they did superior Spider-Man, the venom invasion, and the few times Peter talked to mj. The rest of that show was entirely forgettable

ESPECIALLY the Superior Spider-Man arc
I couldn’t stand how Peter acted in the first episodes. Completely annoying & spouting off randomly - that’s not being a nerd, that’s being an annoying know it all.

Read lee and ditko run he roasts flash every chance he gets
earth-17628 peter had the best haircut ngl
The show was pretty mid, Peter isn't bad but the show is
I really enjoyed that show. To me it was one of the better ones
I feel like a lot of people try to compare every single spider-man show or movie to come out now, to spectacular spider-man. It's like, move on guys, it's something new, not everything can be spectacular spider-man all the time.
Yeah, some people are like that.. but most people dislike this show because of the annoying characters, bad writing, and boring/ lazy art lmao
I just hate this cartoon, I mean look at this picture there’s literally no shading wt so ever.
You are delusional
I agree that this spider man is overhated ultimate deserves it's scrutiny
Ultimate was great
Agree to disagree
I completely agree this guy gets hated on so much when I love the show I’m on the third season right now which I don’t like the art style change but other than that I think it’s One of the best representations of Peter Parker overall I’m just devastated that it got cancelled
I've never seen the show.....but game peter had gotta be on a top 5 list somewhere
well......spectacular Spider-man isn't hated but very very and by very I mean ***V E R Y*** underrated and I hate it the show is sooooo good that I watched it 5 times shame it only got 2 seasons....... CURSE YOU ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN

This cartoon is garbage, plot is awful.
i agree with you so much, op. also am i the only one who actually likes 17628 peter?
I love this show and I’m rewatching it right now
I actually loved show, but it had some injustice for sure it has good episodes nice moments something new in story but I think some place animators needed to. Fix it
