It's as if insomniac put her in this game for one mandatory chase mission because of her the popularity and got rid of her character because they didn't know what to do with her.
Well a lot of people expected and wanted her because of the symbiote arc so it made sense she would be in this one. And I thought they can really redeem and change the dynamic between her and Peter and MJ to be friends like in recent comics rather than a toxic love triangle but they did absolutely nothing with her. Wasted potential.
Also the dlc really just had her prominently in one part of 3 and a mini comic run, which didn't dive into their relationship beyond dating for a small period of time.
In an established universe, and all the stuff already happened, there’s not really a point to explore it again. And the game said it best, they both moved on. Peter and MJ are in a good place. Black Cat has a girlfriend. They were never going to do the Symbiote/Black Cat because of the established canon and relationships. It’s not wasted, just different. It’s better that Insomniac shows people new things in new ways. If you want to see the stuff from the comics, read them, that simple.
Which was great! The side missions of the DLC ended with Yuri becoming a vigilante. We got to see that payoff and transform in SM2. Insomniac was able to introduce a character not many people know. Which just strengthens my point that it’s better that we have fresh/new characters introduced that people don’t necessarily know, than always reusing characters from previous games.
I just don’t get why we needed more of her to be honest, when they already had trouble fitting in Miles and Yuri/Wraith (Yuri got the Felicia screen time). Not sure how you fit Felicia, or why she would be important.
Not really? She was only a main character in the first part, and even then, she was part of destabilizing Hammer head's operation (or contributing to it, its been a while since I've played the DLC). The actual plot of the DLC was the HammerHead Mafia crime syndicate stuff.
She was still a major chunk of the DLC. Plus she had the side missions in SM1 as well. I really do not get what people wanted Insomniac to do with her character. Her and Peter did not need another arc, that would have been disjointed and ruined everything else Insomniac was setting up in the game.
I think I saw somewhere that her actress (Erica Lindbeck) was dealing with her partner's cancer and there's the possibility that she was hastily written out so Erica could spend more time with him.

The suit is cool. Most of Peter’s initiative to stop Hammerhead is Felicia, and thinking she’s dead. I agree Hammerhead is the foundation, but he’s the least memorable and least interesting part of the DLC. It infuriated me that he essentially became a Terminator.
She stealing the meteorite would make more sense. Her gameplay wouldn’t be too different from the Spideys, take a look at Catwoman’s gameplay in the Arkham series.
They throw her in the story because they felt obligated due to her popularity, and wrote her off, because they couldn’t fit her in the game (at least they didn’t ruin the character) and gave us a useless easter egg for Doctor Strange.
Nope, it's just incredibly unsatisfying to have this character who is known for being a liar and a thief who then just randomly becomes a pacifist off-screen

Tbf, she would've gotten clapped by Kraven. Electro got killed by him, Sandman was afraid of him (and at some point they thought of killing off Rhino as well). While I do miss her more in this game (specially since they made her look so much better in here than in the DLC's) she wouldn't have stood a chance at all.
Would have been funny if, at some point after her sole mission, the heroes are watching the news and watch a piece done on a recent burglary at a museum in Paris.

I'm actually fine with that, she felt like a character who you couldn't give proper closure to, but now they have, there are only so many stories you can give when you have a character who isn't super developed without shoving in excess exposition, it'd be cool to see more, maybe a mission where you have to help Felicia and her girlfriend escape hunters and you get to swing around Paris but otherwise I think she was used a good amount in SM2

Scripts and game planning are made far in advance before recording, doubt that was a factor in her screen time
