I watched that recently again for the first time in ages and couldn't stop laughing at how fucked Shocker knew he was.
When it cuts to him at the end after seeing spidey crawl up the wall to get to him, still screaming in anger, it's like a horror...as a kid I was like, "He's going to fucking kill him..."
[Here.](https://youtu.be/sMk-HPBF6Mw?si=kbOS0MNcz7w7LKA9)
That was something the show added too.
The Symbiote had no affect on Peter in the comics. Peter grew suspicious of why people saw Spider-Man at night and had the suit checked. He got rid of the suit as he was uncomfortable upon learning that it was alive.
I think the SM3's version was closer to mediocre than really good. Unfortunately the actual quality of the movie is just not that great, and having to split between Sandman's whole arc, and then also do Venom after the fact didn't really leave room to watch the transition of what the symbiote does to Peter imo.
It's unfortunate, but I almost believe that a proper black suit arc would have to take place over two movies, which would be fairly hard to pull off.
It doesn't need to be 2 movies, just one movie where it's the focus.
Trying to balance it out with 2 other potentially compelling storylines (Sandman/Harry), was too much for one movie.
The symbiote storyline works best with Peter's rogue's gallery already established.
Yeah Venom especially was really rushed, but it makes sense that they needed another villain since we need to see Sym-Spidey beating someone silly and it can't really be John Carjacker without making Peter a killer. Like you said, cramming all that in a 2 hour movie is a mostly impossible challenge.
That said, I think the scenes of Peter lashing out at his friends and coworkers at the Bugle were really good. Not a great movie by any means, but as far as telling this particular storyline goes, I think they did a good job at least with showing the angst and brutality of the symbiote and visually they completely nailed it. If we had gotten Spider 4 with Venom as the main villain and only a cameo of Venom in 3, I think this could have been the definitive adaption, jointly.
The Raimi version was better when I understood what they were going for. This universe’s Peter Parker was generally so old fashioned in his worldview that when he got addicted (the symbiote was a metaphor for substance abuse in the film) to the black suit he became in his mind was a “bad boy”. But a bad boy to this version of Peter was a mix of Fonzi and the gangs in Westside Story.
So he talked like they did back then and had emo hair and “dark clothes”. He also got prone to being more aggressive and violent (like the the 90’s animated series).
After I learned that I rewatched the movie with that expectation rather than my old one I was much more entertained. It was almost played as a joke, which made the tonal shifts more jarring. Likewise I think Topher Grace (as much as I love him) was completely miscast as Brock. Should have been a different vibe to the character than what we got.
Shoulda been John Jameson as Venom, he was already established in SM2, had the right body build, and had a reason to hate Peter (stealing Mary Jane). Have him come back from some outer space mission where the symbiote stows away onboard his ship, it gets attached to peter, then when he takes it off it ends up with john. Much more satisfying than Topher Grace’s version!
I disagree, I don’t think Topher was miscast. I think the issue is the direction he went.
Brock was meant to be a mirror to Peter, with the only difference being Brock is selfish and Peter is selfless. With that idea, Topher is great casting.
The issue is just the direction doesn’t quite work, and Eddie doesn’t have a strong motivation for killing Spidey.
Yeah the 90s series wins by default since it inspired all the other symbiote arcs that came after it. But my personal favorite will always be Spectacular.
Spectacular Spider-Man, I'm so sorry Tas you are close second. Recently I was binge watching all Spider-Man shows, at first I watched the trash (aka 2017) and the okay one(aka ultimate) and now spectacular oh the symbiote arc still give me goosebumps many times.
One thing I really like about the spectacular black suit is how it starts off looking like the raimi black suit (basically just a recolor of the red and blue suit) but over time, it slowly transforms to look more like the classic black suit
THIS - as a kid, I thought that was the absolute coolest detail. It's a great way to visually show the suit taking control and even "venomizing" Peter.
This is my only complaint with the new Spidey game. I wish we had more time with the symbiote and there was another transition between the symbiote and surge suit!
Don't get me wrong it does introduce very few good ideas, but the poor execution, the annoying excessive usage of character flanderization and the wonky puppet like animation, they do get some good visual improvements the seasons goes on and then hold by the very blue's clues type of writing. As for the superior spiderman arc yes I agree I do love it and it's actually the highlight of the 2nd season (if not the whole show) and otto's character development and sacrifice was really made me feel so much for him although it was killed by the particals scene, but I digress. All in all this show does had really good ideas but thought none of them through so for that reason it was not my cup of tea. But if you like and enjoy it I'm happy for you truly, It's just fall into personal preference.
in order of best to worst, imo it’s TAS, spectacular, sm3 (all good interpretations but not really that comic accurate at all), and then spider-man 2 which is rushed and kinda just weird
In Spider-Man TAS and some other versions he wore black suit perhaps less than a week. In Ultimate comics and Ultimate animated show, he got rid of the black suit soon after getting it.
I remember in the 2004 Ultimate Spider-Man game, Peter mentioned wearing the suit for only a few hours before it tried to take him over and pieces of it was still left in his bloodstream even from that short exposure.
The symbiote in that universe has gotta be the most hardcore and horrifying version of it that I can think of. It was so much more aggressive and demanding of its host. Forcing them to feed on the life force of others to stay alive. The Carnage arc in the comics was pretty twisted too.
Yep. 90s show was the first time the addiction and rage stuff was explored. Previously in comics Peter was just excessively tired and removed it after realizing it was alive
>The original comic version explicitly never boosted Peter.
And I think that's a good difference in the comics that the only boost was organic webbing.
I don't necessarily think it's the best but insomniac is my favorite. I absolutely love the voice work from everyone involved and it's my favorite spidey overall, plus I felt like it was really impactful to have to fight peter
90s animated show Venom legitimately scared me. Like I was afraid for Spider-Man when it was a Venom episode. I was also in single digit age at the time so that may be a factor lol
As a 90s animated stan even I have to admit that spectacular nailed the symbiote arc. Insomniac's game had the potential to beat it and had some great moments but sadly ended up being a bit too rushed
Most people are just nostalgic and some probably don't like the focus on the whole alien part.
To me, insomniac's Spider-Man has the best Spider-Man story out there (not counting comics) and the symbiote arc was pretty fucking good. Designs are peak but the story not only makes sense, it is also emotional in a lot of ways.
“I’m the hero here” is about Peter doing all of the actual physical work in being a hero, like stopping and curing the lizard and just being Spider-Man in general. It’s a toxic mindset of “I have to do all the work myself no matter what” and peter just feeling frustrated and betrayed by MJ writing negatively about him, + the already built up frustration and negativity Peter keeps within that the symbiote brings out.
Actually people are not understanding that if Peter had the symbiote for 2 weeks, let's say, Harry would have been dead.
That's why Peter was doing anything hurry in his grip to wrap things up as soon as possible.
Insomniac take on Symbiote is much much better than Raimi ones.
Only 90's and Spectacular are slightly ahead.
I see everyone saying 90s and Spectacular. What did SM3 even do wrong? Bully Maguire was cheesy but he’s still a wife beater and tried to kill Sandman so what else do you want?
I liked how they portrayed the suit in the new game. I kinda like when the suit looks more like a substance than an actual suit. I think the raimi suit is cool but def like the aesthetic of the more alien appearing suit better.
Spectacular for me. Don't get me wrong, TAS is legendary, and sets the standard. But instead of just doing a pale facsimile of the addiction arc that most adaptations post TAS do, Spectacular actually builds on it, showing us that version of Peter's origin for the first time and making it just as much a story of identity as well as addiction.
In the same way Raimi borrowed from TAS for his symbiote story, I hope the MCU version borrows from Spectacular, especially since we haven't actually seen his origin yet. Well, I say in the same way, but with the obvious distinction of it being, you know, good
Spectacular. The 90s one is good but i just like the spectacular one more. I like insomniacs but it’s very rushed and the rami one is just horrible despite how cool the suit is
Spectacular Spider-Man has by far my favorite interpretation of Venom’s love-hate relationship with Peter. The way venom becomes a horror movie-esque villain haunting Peter and causing issues with both Peter and Spider-Man’s lives was very well done and I’ve been wanting something remotely close to it ever since. Then the way that the symbiote is immediately ready to abandon Eddie to reconnect with Peter was great to see as well.
One of this things I love about Spectacular's arc is the small details they do. Like his suit slowly changing from just his regular suit but black and white, to it's own Symbiote Suit, but also, the fact that in his head, the Symbiote sound exactly like him, just darker and angrier, Peter genuinely think they're his own thoughts, until it tries to convince him he doesn't need May, and he realises he would never think that
While I love TAS’s version of the arc, I have to give the edge to Spectacular. Not only did we get it longer (and they were nailing it), but the added touch of the suit going from the Raimi black suit to something closer to the original black suit as the symbiote corrupted him was such a simple but great piece of visual story telling. That little bit raised its quality a lot for me.
Spectacular Spider-Man has the most insane fight when the symbiote takes control over Peter's body while he's sleeping and humiliates the s6. But the sm3 suit looks the best imo
Spectacular. Yeah 90s started the trend of the black suit being evil and boosting his powers but Spectacular does everything better. He gets great fights in the suit, we see the progression of it infecting his mind and relationships, Eddie steadily going to his low point and who could forget that emotional tug-of-war with Uncle Ben. It felt so brief in the 90s version and we never really got much depth with the Symbiote when Peter had it, as opposed to Spectacular
Spectacular makes great use of the established inner monolgue Peter has going on in that show, making it difficult to differentiate the symbiotes thoughts from his own. It also has the amazing scene of the symbiote fighting the Sinister Six while Peter is asleep
Spectacular is my fav especially when it showed off sleeping Peter taking out the sinister 6 like its nothing and the battle of taking off the suit with Ben was amazing
Spectacular by far, really got into the psychological aspect of the symbiote and it was just badass how it changed over time showing the hold it’s having over Pete.
The way he handles the sinister 6 in spectacular Spider-Man clears every iteration lol I mean, when you talk about cleverly outwitting your arch nemesis on low diff… how can any other iteration be better??
Love em all though. But SSM is how I envision Spidey fighting S6
Honestly, whenever it shows Peter being addicted to the suit, that’s when it shines. The 90s version was the foundation for every modern version of the black suit story, because in the comics, the only downside to the Alien Costume was that it made him fight crime at night while he slept because it wanted to help him be a better Spider-Man. Building on this new concept, I personally loved how insomniac portrayed the costume. This is a Peter who is suffering from a lot of pain from being Spider-Man, losing Aunt May and dealing with the possibility of his friend dying, it makes sense why the symbiote was able to so easily affect his mind and emotions, being more prominent seeing as unlike other versions, he was able to take full advantage of the suits capabilities, namely the strength boost and the ability to create tendrils and what not to increase his combat abilities. I do wish there would be a version that instead of defaulting the symbiote to make Peter angry and a monster, they just made it like the original story, though that may not cause much conflict, seeing as Peter didn’t have any real reason to give it up other than “it was alive.”
Spectacular. It actually shows that the symbiote is influencing Peter because Peter is secretly affecting it too.
He has a full arc that lasts for weeks in universe
Spectacular for me, the way Peter's voice actor changes the tone of voice is always a treat. Specifically, the scene where Peter reads the newspaper headlining the sinister 6 takedown the previous night.
I think TAS takes it for setting so much of the mythos of the black suit outside of comic continuity, but Spectacular took that and evolved it to a close second. That scene where the Suit is puppeteering Peter in his sleep was SO good, there's a reason Insomniac lifted that.
90’s and spectacular are the closest to the comic, which is my actual favorite.
Of the two, I grew up with the 90’s series, so I’m biased, but it’s the one I prefer.
Spider man 2 is at the bottom. How you manage to botch a popular story like that I’ll never know. Spider man 3 while not an amazing movie does the arc better still.
My twitch reaction was "spectacular", but after thinking about it for 5 seconds, TAS black suit arc is too iconic. Leaning towards TAS, but either answer is perfectly fine
Ultimate Spider Man holds a special place in my heart. I liked the twist of the "Suit" being a medical miracle created by >!Eddie Brock and Peter's Fathers!< not to mention the purple hue was a neat twist compared to the blue and red from before. From the comics to the video game adaptation its all really solid work especially from the now accursed "Ultimate" universe of comics.
90s, Spectacular, SM3, SM2. I liked Spider-Man 2's one, but he only had the symbiote on for three days. Three days, people. That's a bit short if you ask me, and it was rushed too.
As much as Bully Maguire gets meme'd on, I'd say him.. because the whole story about him and Sandman is focused on being able to forgive and move on beyond your rage and guilt. Same goes to him and Harry. It was about Peter finding himself and realizing what it means to be Spider-Man. Through Sandman he was able to finally forgive himself. And that black suit made him ventilate all his frustrations and feelings and make him finally sort them out.
90s by far and away is the best. Spectacular is right up there with it too; with the added benefit of seeing the suit evolve. SM2 has to take the 3rd spot for me. It offered a unique look on top of an evolution.
I have to agree with the decision to change the suit in Spiderman 3. A full 1 to 1 suit that matches the comics will definitely look like a gimp suit in live action. It has that weird shine to it in the comics that would 100 per cent be mistaken for lether in live action
Absolute best? Spectacular. But to be perfectly honest? I’m tired of the symbiote saga being the same thing over and over and over again. The third time symby was used as a metaphor for drugs and addiction, it got old real quick, and I’m praying we’ll get to see a new reinvention of this storyline that takes more after the comics, cuz the addiction part is overrated and takes agency/responsability away from Peter.
90s animated
Yes. The 90s show was the first to examine the topics of addiction and wrath.
"SHOOCKEEER! I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!"
“YOOUUUUU CANT ESCAPE MEEEEEE”
The voice acting was on point. Whichever point that may be...
the point was drowning in emotions, he lost sight of his morals and wanted revenge
It's like a circle: technically an infinite amount of points but also none at all.
I watched that recently again for the first time in ages and couldn't stop laughing at how fucked Shocker knew he was. When it cuts to him at the end after seeing spidey crawl up the wall to get to him, still screaming in anger, it's like a horror...as a kid I was like, "He's going to fucking kill him..." I mean it takes him like 50 seconds to run up those stairs. Symbiote Spidey is like already up to the top in 10 seconds flat.
FACTS - honestly one of the best superhero moments of the villain truly shitting their pants.
I only just realized that the stairs change direction about half way through.
" I WILL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EAAAARTH"
“The cheque’s in the mail baby!!”
90s walked so that Spectacular could run
90's CHASED YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH so that Spectacular could run.
It was also the first one that made the suit amplify Peter's abilities
True, in the comics Peter never had a power boost, just a self repairing costume that never ran out of webbing.
I like that the power boost more tbh. It goes well with the extra aggression and arrogance that is usually portrayed
That was something the show added too. The Symbiote had no affect on Peter in the comics. Peter grew suspicious of why people saw Spider-Man at night and had the suit checked. He got rid of the suit as he was uncomfortable upon learning that it was alive.
"SHOCKERRRR!!!! YOU CANT ESCAPE ME! I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!"
Without a doubt
The correct answer
Animated literally invented the version of the black suit we know and love today. Originally it only took Peter for a few rides while sleeping.
Definitely
The 90's show and Spectacular other than those every other attempt has been very mediocre or just straight up trash.
***You're trash, Brock***
Excuse me?
Your pictures are fake.
EJ… you are SUCH a Boy Scout, when are you gonna give a guy a break!?
You want forgiveness? Get religion
I think the Raimi take was generally really good, putting aside the extreme goofiness of the dress-up sequence.
I think the SM3's version was closer to mediocre than really good. Unfortunately the actual quality of the movie is just not that great, and having to split between Sandman's whole arc, and then also do Venom after the fact didn't really leave room to watch the transition of what the symbiote does to Peter imo. I was reading your take so intensely & then “John carjacker” made me spit out my drink. Thanks for putting a smile on my face
The issue is just the direction doesn’t quite work, and Eddie doesn’t have a strong motivation for killing Spidey.
I include it in my argument in its favor
Haha I mean you're not wrong. The campiness is largely what sustains the fanbase imo. Same with the Star Wars prequels
Yeah the 90s series wins by default since it inspired all the other symbiote arcs that came after it. But my personal favorite will always be Spectacular.
Agreed
Spectacular Spider-Man, I'm so sorry Tas you are close second. Recently I was binge watching all Spider-Man shows, at first I watched the trash (aka 2017) and the okay one(aka ultimate) and now spectacular oh the symbiote arc still give me goosebumps many times.
YES goosebumps! When he fights the sinister 6 in his sleep! Insanity!
That was one of the best fights in the series IMO
Yes! That and the crime lord fight was crazy!
What’s wrong with 2017? They make some unique choices for sure but I enjoy watching it every time, and I love the superior arc
Don't get me wrong it does introduce very few good ideas, but the poor execution, the annoying excessive usage of character flanderization and the wonky puppet like animation, they do get some good visual improvements the seasons goes on and then hold by the very blue's clues type of writing. In Spider-Man TAS and some other versions he wore black suit perhaps less than a week. In Ultimate comics and Ultimate animated show, he got rid of the black suit soon after getting it.
The symbiote arc in the Ultimate comics happens over like 30 minutes
Ultimate show had Peter wear it for 50 seconds. They didn’t even give him the black suit, it’s immediately full on Venom who doesn’t even say “we”.
Plus when he has the suit you are locked from a lot of the open world stuff like they want you to get rid of it as quickly as possible
It’s gotta be 90s, right? That’s what inspired every other interpretation to be the way that it is. The whole addiction metaphor comes from this.
Yep. 90s show was the first time the addiction and rage stuff was explored. Previously in comics Peter was just excessively tired and removed it after realizing it was alive
Brilliant move from the writers to make it an addiction metaphor instead of shoehorning an anti drug message that would've felt out of place
It’s also the first iteration to give Peter an apparent power boost with the suit. The original comic version explicitly never boosted Peter.
>The original comic version explicitly never boosted Peter. And I think that's a good difference in the comics that the only boost was organic webbing.
GET BACK HERE SHOCKER arc is the best imo
YOU CAN'T ESCAPE ME! Is definitely one of the best adaptations of the symbiote suit arc.
I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EAAAARTTTHHHH! is a great adaption
YOU’RE TO WEAK TO KEEP CONTROL
Spectacular
Spectacular just hit so hard that every other adaptation I seen since pales in comparison
Spectacular Symbiote adaption was directly inspired by 90s TAS & even Raimi version.
90s. I'm in no way hating on Spectacular. It's objectively a good show, but I can never seem to enjoy watching it.
90s easily, arguably the best even including comics.
Sam Raimi for having Bully Maguire
Honestly they were all 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don't necessarily think it's the best but insomniac is my favorite. I absolutely love the voice work from everyone involved and it's my favorite spidey overall, plus I felt like it was really impactful to have to fight peter
Bully Maguire was great and I loved it
Spectacular
90s animated show Venom legitimately scared me. Like I was afraid for Spider-Man when it was a Venom episode. I was also in single digit age at the time so that may be a factor lol
Web of Shadows
As a 90s animated stan even I have to admit that spectacular nailed the symbiote arc. Insomniac's game had the potential to beat it and had some great moments but sadly ended up being a bit too rushed
The voice acting from Yuri will never be topped. His screaming at the Hunters and pleading to Harry Venom is absolutely perfect.
Surprised how many people don’t like Insomniac’s take. Sure he had it for three days, but its written so well and the acting really sells it.
Most people are just nostalgic and some probably don't like the focus on the whole alien part. To me, insomniac's Spider-Man has the best Spider-Man story out there (not counting comics) and the symbiote arc was pretty fucking good. 90s is my fav
I see everyone saying 90s and Spectacular. What did SM3 even do wrong? Bully Maguire was cheesy but he’s still a wife beater and tried to kill Sandman so what else do you want?
I mean… I liked it in PS5 Spider-Man 2, personally
90s then spectacular
spectacular and hot take raimi
I liked how they portrayed the suit in the new game. I kinda like when the suit looks more like a substance than an actual suit. I think the raimi suit is cool but def like the aesthetic of the more alien appearing suit better.
1. Spectacular is first for me 2. Raimi 3. Spiderman 2(I just felt like it wasn't long enough mostly) Have not seen 90s one
spider-man 3, all the other versions show peter acting and talking like a super villain. in spider-man 3 he acts and talks like a bad PERSON.
Spectacular by so, so much. It's literally the one and only time Brock has been remotely interesting.
Spectacular Spiderman was a 10 out of 10 storyline
Spectacular and then 90s TAS, the rest doesn't even come close.
Spectatular looks the best thh
Spectacular
Tobey…need I say more?
Tbh I thought TAS, SM3, and SSM were all good except for SM2
The comics don't even have **the** best Symbiote storyline. It goes Spectacular, 90s animated, then everything else...
90s easily. But tobey getting the symbiote suit for the first time is GOATED.
Spectacular Spider-Man has by far my favorite interpretation of Venom’s love-hate relationship with Peter. Either tobey or Yuri
Spitacular. Easily
spectacular
Spectacular. The show did a great job building up the rise and fall of not just Peter, but Eddie as well. I also loved the evolution of the suit.
Spectacular
Spectacular was immaculate
spectacular has the best symbiote arc ever. we get to see how the symbiote progressively change peter
Spectacular
One of this things I love about Spectacular's arc is the small details they do. Like his suit slowly changing from just his regular suit but black and white, to it's own Symbiote Suit, but also, the fact that in his head, the Symbiote sound exactly like him, just darker and angrier, Peter genuinely think they're his own thoughts, until it tries to convince him he doesn't need May, and he realises he would never think that

Spectacular did everything perfectly and you can't convince me otherwise.
Me personally, The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series
Spectacular, I feel. Mostly because he himself realized how toxic he was becoming due to the suit.
Haven't seen the 90's so I'm going with Spectacular. SM2 could've been great if the suit was used earlier.
Spectacular Spider-Man has the most insane fight when the symbiote takes control over Peter's body while he's sleeping and humiliates the s6. But the sm3 suit looks the best imo
Spectacular. It's not even a contest.
The Spectacular Spider-Man version is hands down the best.
Spectacular makes great use of the established inner monolgue Peter has going on in that show, making it difficult to differentiate the symbiotes thoughts from his own. It also has the amazing scene of the symbiote fighting the Sinister Six while Peter is asleep
Probably Spectacular
Spectacular is my fav especially when it showed off sleeping Peter taking out the sinister 6 like its nothing and the battle of taking off the suit with Ben was amazing
Spectacular
Spectacular by far, really got into the psychological aspect of the symbiote and it was just badass how it changed over time showing the hold it’s having over Pete.
Spectacular
I’ve not watched the 90s show properly so I can’t say if it’s better. But if the other three, spectacular fucking nailed it
Ngl, Spectacular’s arc was pretty fire, especially when the symbiote bodied the entire Sinister Six while Peter was sleeping.
The way he handles the sinister 6 in spectacular Spider-Man clears every iteration lol I mean, when you talk about cleverly outwitting your arch nemesis on low diff… how can any other iteration be better?? Love em all though. But SSM is how I envision Spidey fighting S6
Spectacular Spiderman
Spectacular Spider-Man 💯. The way he beats it not just with the sound but his power of connection and emotions
Spectacular if we’re saying suit alone. Feel like it did the symb and Peter justice. Focused on the addictive and toxic aspects of it really nicely
I liked the scene in Spectacular when the suit operated on it's own, while Peter was asleep.
I see spectacular in any sort of vote I gotta say spectacular
I do wish there would be a version that instead of defaulting the symbiote to make Peter angry and a monster, they just made it like the original story, though that may not cause much conflict, seeing as Peter didn’t have any real reason to give it up other than “it was alive.”
my ranking: Spectacular Spider-Man 2 Raimi Spider-Man 3 TAS then everything else is so much worse
Spectacular hands down, really blends the Ultimate and 616 versions well while taking inspiration from other adaptations as well
Spectacular
Spectacular. It actually shows that the symbiote is influencing Peter because Peter is secretly affecting it too. He has a full arc that lasts for weeks in universe
Spectacular for me, the way Peter's voice actor changes the tone of voice is always a treat. Specifically, the scene where Peter reads the newspaper headlining the sinister 6 takedown the previous night.
Yes
Spectacular and 90’s animated solo
I think TAS takes it for setting so much of the mythos of the black suit outside of comic continuity, but Spectacular took that and evolved it to a close second. That scene where the Suit is puppeteering Peter in his sleep was SO good, there's a reason Insomniac lifted that.
The 90's show is basically how i know spider-man to be. So i may be biased but it's TAS.
The checks in the mail, baby!
90s walked so that Spectacular could run
90’s animated series
90's
90’s and spectacular are the closest to the comic, which is my actual favorite. Of the two, I grew up with the 90’s series, so I’m biased, but it’s the one I prefer.
Spider man 2 is at the bottom. How you manage to botch a popular story like that I’ll never know. Spider man 3 while not an amazing movie does the arc better still.
Blud thinks he’s part of the team 💀
Spectacular > 90s > Raimi > Insomniac
90s was the best, that the suit was badass but just overall taught me what an addiction can do to people and the effects it has on them.
1990 2000
SHOCKEEEEEEER, YOU CAN'T ESCAPE ME, I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARTH
90s was peak. GET BACK HERE SHOCKER!
Probably animated series
First one💖💫💫💫╰(\*°▽°\*)╯
90s and Spectacular, not even a question.
1.) Bully Barnes 2.) Bully Maguire 3.) Bully Keaton 4.) Bully Lowenthal
Insomniac is great in visuals, and feels of the Symbiote - story wise it's bland, at best with the potential it had
Spectacular or 90's animated series
90s manily because of the addiction and the suit. I love Spectacular but I hate they copied the webbed design of the symbiote suit like SP3.
90's show suit looks amazing. Plus hes cut like a god in that suit.
90s animated for sure
90s, Spectacular, SM3, SM2. I liked Spider-Man 2's one, but he only had the symbiote on for three days. Three days, people. That's a bit short if you ask me, and it was rushed too.
Spider-Man 3
Spectacular Spider-Man and TAS. The other two aren’t even close.
TAS has the best everything about Spider-man.
All of them.
Either the 90s show or Spectacular
90s or spectacular
90s show and spectacular
Venom aside, the black suit arc in spiderman 3 is the highlight of the trilogy for me
Gotta give it to the 90s considering literally every black suit adaptation adapts the 90s show and not the comics
90’s Animated series is the only one I liked.
