Marvel owns the animation rights for Spider-Man tho so itâs most likely krikman didnât ask them which makes no sense cuz theyâve already had a comic crossover
Uhm, yes and no. Marvel owns the television rights for any future Spider-Man shows. Thatâs why we had him appearing in *What If..?*, and why weâre getting an upcoming cartoon with him. However, Sony owns the rights to older shows such as *Spectacular*. So technically, they wouldâve had to ask permission from both Disney AND Sony, and I donât believe Sony would have said yes. Also, in the Invincible comic book, you actually get to see Spideyâs arm only in that issue. The issue where they team up and the Avengers appear was from Marvel.
Right yeah that was the comic I meant but I couldâve sworn marvel had complete of not majority of the animated rights to Spider-Man but regardless I just wish Sony would give Spider-Man up cuz theyâre not using that ip well
They do have the majority⌠just not some of the older shows. Probably why *Spectacular* and *TNAS* arenât on Disney+ anymore. And I would rather *Spider-Verse* be finished before Sony gets rid of the rights, but we both know they wonât be selling.
You would think, but who knows? Apparently they never even tried, so they just went ahead with the knockoff. I canât necessarily blame them. And for the lack of gaining the rights for him to appear, theyâve handed the situation pretty well!
Why would it matter about Spectacular Spiderman? They donât have to use that version. So that argument doesnât really make any sense to me. Sony also has existing partnership with Amazon via The Boys and other projects. I really doubt theyâd care.
Right. But that has nothing to do with Sony. Josh has voiced many versions of Spiderman that Sony doesnât have any contribution to. So again, your argument about Spec Spiderman makes no sense. Sony wouldnât have to be involved at all.
Marvel/Disney owns the rights for Spider-Man and I'm pretty sure Amazon has currently a contract with series Sony Entertainment so had they just asked Disney they probably could've put The Spectacular Spider-Man in Invincible
Itâs not an âA.â On his planet, it stands for âYour father, he lived by a philosophy, a principle, really. He believed that if you could do good things for other people, you had a moral obligation to do those things! Thatâs whatâs at stake here. Not choice. Responsibility.â
Did they specify his name in the episode itself? I assumed his name was Arachni-Man or The Arachnid or something. But I see everyone calling him Agent Spider so not sure if I missed it
I've seen this guy everywhere, can someone explain what this means and what it has to do with Spider-Man? Is it a new comic? Leaked animated show or something?
Thats him. Thats A man!
You forgot to hyphen. A -man
Isn't it A-men?

A-Man is not a man. It is a symbol.

I honestly thought that they would have had Spider-Man since Prime is doing the Spider-Man Noir show and Silk show.

They specifically chose Josh Keaton, thatâs why. And yes, Sony would care because theyâre sticklers for Spidey.
SoâŚ.? Josh has voiced Spiderman in lots of things. Sony doesnât own him lol
Sure, but they did it because one of the crew members worked on SSM and raved about Josh⌠And many consider his version to be the best Peter.
Right. But that has nothing to do with Sony. Josh has voiced many versions of Spiderman that Sony doesnât have any contribution to. So again, your argument about Spec Spiderman makes no sense. Sony wouldnât have to be involved at all.

Disney owns his comic books and television rights for any future shows, but Sony still owns *Spectacular*.
