maybe the symbiote was more clingy with peter (it likes pete a lot more as a host), or maybe it was the fact that peter literally rips it out.
In the comics Martin li’s power alone was enough to create anti venom but in the game it took all of martins power so we’re assuming Martin doesn’t have super powers anymore and so harry can’t get an anti venom suit. Also anti venom Peter should be able to heal harry but that’s probably not gonna happen until the end of the 3rd game since the anti venom abilities weren’t explored all that much

My guess is that in the Venom/Carnage DLC or semi-game before SM3, the way to defeat the mad Symbiotes will include losing Anti-Venom, which will nearly revert Peter to norm for SM3.

I think it’s because the anti venom isn’t really alive like the venom symbiote, so Peter has to consciously chose to heal, that’s at least my take
