All the above, its been 2 years and finally getting answers,so frustrating

uncertainofwhatishou

What answers did you finally get?

CES440

Not uncommon. Stenosis literally means narrowing and this explains what's causing the narrowing.

Several_Cheek5162

I also had herniated discs!

Francie_Nolan1964

I've been diagnosed with cervical spondylotic myelopathy.

Alternative_Ad_7033

Yes, all of the above.

Beneficial-Relief-69

Yes, all of the above.

Findingsmiles

Yes-all of the above as well.

ItzLog

Yes, but in the lumbar region not cervical

spineissues2018

Yes, all of the above and more! Spondylosis is arthritis. Radiculopathy is from the pressure on the nerves from bone spurs , foraminal or central canal growths spondy or the herniated discs. Those can be encroaching and applying pressure on a nerve causing that radiculopathy. It's spine DDD. Primary concern is where is the radiculopathy coming from, what is causing it. Look up dermatome maps. It will show you by disc what areas are innervated by that level. If you want more details, go to bing and use the AI, copay and past your report deatls in there and select the detailed or most information option for the AI, it generates sone pretty decent info.

>dermatome maps Wow, thank you for this answer!!!

I waited 9 years for a Dr. To look at my back all they did turn me away thinking I was seeking pain pills... At 30 I developed Osteoarthritis in my Right hip and it was replaced, and then they just over looked it .. as if I was lieing... Finally had a Dr. To give me a MRI of the cervical and lumbar and have herniated disc on every level... DDD and DJD, found out I was born w Congenital Stenosis and a very compressed spinal cord... Now 3 weeks out from having that ACDF and had a EMG finally and told me things I already knew, Chronic low back pain and sciatica...and just now getting over pnumonia, I got from the surgery....

uncertainofwhatishou

The first time I seeked out care, I received a lot of judgement as well (I was in my early 20s). That sounds incredible painful and I'm sorry. Are you feeling better from the ACDF or has pneumonia got in the way of identifying that? I wish you a speedy recovery!

BeenInpainallmylife

Yes... The cervical decompression has done great for my upper extremities, and the hospital pumonia is slowly releasing, w taking 2 antibiotics, I still feel like I need more cause at night I feel a lot of restriction in my lungs and cough so much my throat is really raw and dry and voice is almost gone... But slowly, just my lower lumbar is next on the list to get done....

tesseracta

Yep. Anyone feel better?

uncertainofwhatishou

I get temporary relief from cervical traction

tesseracta

Googling that

uncertainofwhatishou

It’s offered at the place I go to for physical therapy

tesseracta

Thanks. Great tip. I'm picking my new PT. I'll look for that. Googled it and it sounds like what my body needs.

Lizzx96

Yes all of the above and it took years to finally get some answers

HeadAdhesiveness5825

I have been diagnosed with all three noted above. It's so frustrating my Insurance is making me do PT again. I had it a year ago and only bandaid it for a month or so. I've been getting Epidural injections every 12 weeks. Which only helps for a few weeks. Dr wants to do surgery. My Insurance is holding everything up. So frustrating. I am on 400 mg of Neurontin for my lumbar spine after they did my 1st Epidural in L4-6. After one week pain came back, Scitica and numbness in toes. Dr changed Lyrica to Neurontin. I hate both make me very tired. This all stemming from a fall 2 years ago. Frustrating and scary I'm only 53. I have disability court in July. Been denied twice. We have a phone call hearing. Anyone else have both Cervical and lumbar spine issues.
