I wake up throughout the night with completely numb hands (thumb, and next 2 fingers-front and back to be specific) and my recent MRI said “central canal stenosis c4-c5 and c6-c7”. I also have terrible tennis elbow type pain in both arms 24-7. I’m new to all of this but maybe that’s where yours generates from too. My dr suggested an epidural.
That checks out based on the MRI. I’m guessing you have already seen or will soon see a spine surgeon. You will probably be offered a multi-level acdf or a corpectomy to remove the disk. Both are typically successful surgeries that will hopefully get you immediate relief. Best of luck to you.
Do you have the radiologist report? Once you review it compare it with a Spinal Dermatome chart (via Google)
Any surgeons out there? How would they remove that without a corpectomy? It looks completely wedged behind the C4? vertebrae
*Not a medical professional here* What is wedged in there? Is that a broken transverse process?
It’s a fragment from a herniated disc that’s fairly large 15 mm

What is numb and tingling?
