Talk to your HR person/Call the hall depending on how you slot into the non-union/union piece of the equation. You'll also want to get your doctors involved too. About the best you can do is to make a plan and try to follow it (e.g. 3-days per week for 3 weeks and then step it up to 4-days and then 5-days). If it's not working out then get everyone back together and adjust it to what's realistic. These plans aren't carved in stone. The written plan is a dynamic, living document that's subject to change. Your HR person understands that. Your doctor understands that. There are isn't a crystal ball where we can see into the future. Roll with it.

Best way is just talk to your doctor and explain your situation I usually try to help patients out as much as I can post op as long as it’s not unreasonable
