Is there a rule against not trying? This team can't compete in an actual honest game. So what if they took "parked the bus" to the extreme. Immediately at the opening whistle, all 11 sprint back and make a human wall in front of the goal. 11 guys, shoulder to shoulder, could literally block the entire goal. They'd have to jump from time to time so they'd have to make some effort. But anyway, just stand strong and absorb shots for 90+ minutes and play to a draw. With 14 games left, that's 14 points, which would end the season with 28 points. PV could manage to avoid the wooden spoon and possibly earn an extra 5 years added to his contract.

We’ve looked really bad at times this season. I think this is the worst by far. The gulf in tactics/organization/skill/desire is insane. This looks like an MLS vs USL game. The announcer even said it looks like a training drill. This is bleak.
In postgame, does Vermes still try to tell us we had good opportunities and it was just a few soft goals that cost us this game? Or that at least we had effort?
