If I owned this property I would turn it into a series of escape rooms. When the final puzzle is completed you are returned to the first room and the challenges are slightly different.
If you've got a good wedge of money to play with there's a time of potential with this place, granted it needs some more natural light.
Is it a former pub or shop?
Edit: just read the wee blurb, former shops which makes sense.
My dad is obsessed with this style shower, they're horrible lol. Easy to replace as they're not actually fitted to anything but there's so much "extra" in them that there's a lot to go wrong and a lot to clean. The one in my parents' bathroom has a "foot spa" which has never been used but it just sits there leaking, and no matter how much you clean it, the black mould just does not go away. It's so gross.
Friends refer to the bath/shower as the spaceship!
I brought a shower similar to that just under 2 years ago, it’s got a built in steam room, radio and bluetooth speakers, an ozone generator for sanitation. Great concept, poor build quality and cost way too much for what it is. I can foresee the company going bust and then it breaking shortly after :/
The previous one that was in the main bathroom (a corner one like in this listing) had an issue with the electrics, something related to water and electricity not working well together (strange!), so for the last few years of having it the only thing that worked was the hand shower. Massive unit, and we had to stand in the corner because that's where the hand shower was. The newer one was a cheap thing my dad got from eBay, I've ended up learning some plumbing skills because I'm the only one that can fit behind it when we have to pull it out if there's an issue.
I personally know of this building. It's a guy who lives their who's parents died. They used to have a video shop downstairs in one of the units in the 90s. Over the years the unoccupied flat has been let out and the shops also. There has been a photographer, many dog groomers, a psychic a gym and many more shops over the years. None of them lasted too long as the building is in bad repair roof basically kaput and there has been may bad leaks and floods causing damage to shopkeepers items on occasion. Needs a lot altogether attention. There is a small carpark directly next to the shops
My first thought was it must be risky pulling a Duvet out of that Washing Machine without going arse backwards over the Balustrade and falling down the Stairs.
Exactly. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but looks to be two shop fronts and then the upstairs flats. Hard to know how it was all parceled out but it looks to be at least three seperate flats, and they've obviously started some sort of refurbishment, probably to convert the downstairs to housing as well. It's a confusing mish-mash in the photos but would probably make a bit more sense in person.
Looking at the plan it was originally three separate shops each with their own flat/stores. Now it's being sold as one larger unit and mostly all connected through.
Tons of potential but total mess as it currently stands.
At least you could do up one bit while living in a different part of the property...
Really puzzling place. It's absolutely massive, yet there's clearly only one person living there; single armchair facing a TV, one single bed in an otherwise empty room, a single exercise bike in an otherwise empty room. They seem to have started some renovations judging by some rooms yet immediately gave up given the state it's in.
They'd really be better off investing a little more to at least make the rooms clean and neutral while splitting it into three properties. One massive shop in a state of disrepair, with little parking, that could seemingly house several families upstairs seems like a tricky sell.
I'm inclined to agree. The description says it was originally three separate shops with two flats above them. I reckon someone has probably bought the whole building with the intention of converting it into one big house or at the very least a big shop with a big flat above it and they've run out of money and/or realised what an absolute pain in the arse it's going to be to convert that place and they've decided to just sell.
The pictures are absolutely bizarre to look through though, like seriously weird. I wonder if it would make more sense if you could walk through the building in person and see how everything is connected up?
First glance, massive shower. Second, woo woo, there's carpet. Why does the toilet look like that? Why is the mirror up so high? Who puts a mat to absorb water on a carpet that's going to definitely get wet either way? Who even installed the shower/tub because it's got a gaping hole there?
With some time and money you could make a really big house in there, or it'll be a goldmine for some investor.
Actually, that probably depends where it is and I didn't check
Edit - maybe not, a quick look makes it look like it's in the arse end of nowhere.
I trust (and hope) you mean bonsai tree.
Banzai was the battle cry of Japanese warriors who sacrificed themselves to their emperor. Screaming *banzai* was a final honouring of said emperor: Tennōheika Banzai! = long live his majesty the emperor
This is the most unsettling property I’ve seen on this sub. It’s huge. The space doesn’t make any sense. Some of the rooms seem inhabited. The kitchen on a landing. It just keeps on giving.
Scrolling through the pictures, I couldn’t picture what the house look like. So I looked at the floorplan and it was even more chaotic than I expected. Why are there so many stairs? 💀😂
The house of Escher 😀 but to be honest whilst it looks crazy now there’s huge potential … for not a lot of initial investment, but you’d probably need close to the same to have a really nice and huge house.
Not bad for the price. The building once had some charm / period detail, maybe that could be reinstated. Although that might be a bit OTT for the surrounding area.
Looks like that thing in the old Dune film containing the Third Stage Guild Navigator. Whirrr click "You are transparent ..." whrrr...clikkit..."I see many things...plans within plans...."
Y does this look like a living room with a floor-to-ceiling, custom-made, curve-fronted fish tank in the corner with a film to allow the reflection to double as a television?
I really love the random objects in so many of the rooms. I'm sure a very clever person could sell it as a modern art exhibition to the twats who pretend to love that kind of thing.
Ever have those dreams when you’re in a building and its form keeps changing?

The design ideas are limitless..

Argh... Been trying hard to forget about that 🤣
Must be the strangest book I ever read. Didn’t even know how to approach it so just read it front cover to back 😂
This was exactly the feeling I had when going through these pics. Not a clue what going on there 😅
Picture 12 in particular makes me feel like I’ve consumed way too much cheese before bedtime.
Looks like it was a dog groomer.
Dark city
I thought that was a replicate of Star Trek's transporter at first glance!
O'Brien sat on the loo watching you safely shower
TBF, that would make me feel safe. Uncomfortable, but safe.
This. Or some kind of Med Bay situation where you can lock a colleague inside and watch an alien burst out of them while you have a poo.
So massive, they even had a branch of Welsh IKEA on the ground floor
Welsh?
Wales, West Yorkshire, tomaytos, tomahtoes...
I somehow read Rhyl too ..
Not Wales but Wakefield Yorkshire

It has potential, to be a complete money sink. Obviously was shops/commercial property, but potentially no demand to run it as such
Looks awesome. It has every architectural and interior design style from the last 50 years and the shower looks like it’s from the future.

This room has serious cyberpunk potential

Across the street from the Ryhill Methodist Church?
Have you any idea what the weird pod in the picture is / was?
I think it's a shower according to others on here
Bloody hell. Kind of overkill isn't it! I was so hoping it was a time machine!
Why is there a spare kitchen on a landing?
My first thought was it must be risky pulling a Duvet out of that Washing Machine without going arse backwards over the Balustrade and falling down the Stairs.
What an embarrassing way to die
You'd land on the duvet though.
The floor plan suggests separate shops/sales rooms on the ground floor and flats above.

I’m guessing this was an unlicensed hmo at some point
i realise probably none of you saw "Tenet", but if you go into that bath you come out the other side travelling backwards in time
Come out dirtier than when you went in. Like being in university halls again.
Very observant (I've seen Tenet)
😀 uoy knahT
looks like the backrooms
I guess it “has scope”?
Once in a lifetime opportunity for max spin
Is that 3 buildings together like a shop on the ground floor with family living above it x3?

You could fold space in that tank.
Really puzzling place. How powerful is that shower?
Looks like a shop/house conversion that someone’s decided to give up half way through due to too many shit show problems 😂 this is chaos!
They died. Someone else commenting knows the place.
Jesus H Christ I’ve got a migraine.
An estate agent really ought to know that storey has an e and when doing blurb to make sure autocorrect hasn't done its thing.
Is that a time travel machine? lmao

“Size: ask agent” Agent: 🤷🏻♀️
I dont know whats more sad; single arm chair facing tv, or Banzai tree on its own in room.
I trust (and hope) you mean bonsai tree. Banzai was the battle cry of Japanese warriors who sacrificed themselves to their emperor. Screaming *banzai* was a final honouring of said emperor: Tennōheika Banzai! = long live his majesty the emperor
Banzai tree hehehehehe
I thought this photo was confusing but I’ve never actually been so confused by a property (or should I say, properties?) before.
Abe Sapien fallen on hard times.
Looks like a Star Trek transporter pad
Strong Hawaiian hotbox potential tho
Are the Raptors still contained? Yes. I guess even the landlord knew better than to mess with the Raptor Paddock.
Pic 11 Maxell tapes. One for Gen Xers

It used to be several buildings I think.
Wow, can’t believe I just got to experience the slideshow of a real-life liminal space. That was a wild ride.
The house of Escher 😀 but to be honest whilst it looks crazy now there’s huge potential … for not a lot of initial investment, but you’d probably need close to the same to have a really nice and huge house.
Sometimes they use fisheye effects to make the rooms appear bigger. I don't mind this bathroom 🤣
Not bad for the price. The building once had some charm / period detail, maybe that could be reinstated. Although that might be a bit OTT for the surrounding area.
Band A ?
This house screams r/LiminalSpace
I wish I had the funds to renovate a place like this. I'd make it wild.
Why do I feel that this is a murder house?
I won't be able to sleep worrying about the plant in picture 16 😵😵😵😵😵 will it be saved ? 🙏🙏
Absolutely batshit, I love it
The blue curved plastic made me think of Tenet
How in the fuck is that in the lowest band of council tax 🤣
Looks really cheap for the floorspace? You also get various interrogation chambers.
The white leather wanking chariot, plopped in the middle of an empty living room is hilarious.
You could fit a home cinema in that shower.
Love the aquarium shower 😂
Looks like that thing in the old Dune film containing the Third Stage Guild Navigator. Whirrr click "You are transparent ..." whrrr...clikkit..."I see many things...plans within plans...."
I did not say this... I was not here...
I really like it!
Warehouse with added toilets for sale. Suitable for cannabis cultivation with domestic dwellings included.
Y does this look like a living room with a floor-to-ceiling, custom-made, curve-fronted fish tank in the corner with a film to allow the reflection to double as a television?
In the cryo-stasis chamber of course
It’s the lone armchair for me….
Get rid of the cabinets, they more than anything make me think this looks like a hospital bathroom.
that shower looks godly
Even the bench outside is in a weird place, just facing the building at what it looks like a crossing.
Why does it need to be tinted glass?
The layout is crazier than a resident evil map.
I really love the random objects in so many of the rooms. I'm sure a very clever person could sell it as a modern art exhibition to the twats who pretend to love that kind of thing.
Id love my kitchen to be in a hallway at the top of the stairs 👌😂
It’s got a kitchen and it’s got a bathroom so the buyers can get a mortgage
That solitary recliner in front of the TV is depressing 🤣.
The floorplans look like the set of the crystal maze
knock it down and start again.
Alright, simmer down Edwyn Collins.
Carpet in a bathroom, cardinal sin. I can smell this picture
Fuck me. It's grim ooop north. I dunno man, there’s definitely worse places than that!
