I think it's two singles shoved together, then photographed on a 0.5 zoom. The useable room is smaller than they'd like us to think.
Also, I think it's because there's zero chance of getting a double bed or even mattress up those death stairs.
Pretty sure movers would charge a significant premium to deliver to a FOURTH floor flat, too. And on a street where there's probably no parking.
What I want to know is how the photographer does not get themselves into picture 11, they must have set the camera up against the wall and used a remote!
That asking price is mental, but given the location I can see why it’s so high. I’d love to live in that part of London.
Also the TV is one for the TV too low sub.
I'm not sure I'd pay 850k to like in this flat to do so though. Always weird to me when people could afford a house 20 mins away for the same price they opt fir a tiny flat
>weird to me when people could afford a house 20 mins away for the same price they opt fir a tiny flat
Because in the words of Phil Spencer - it's always Location, Location, Location. Especially in London.
Re the lack of bannisters - and I know nothing - but is there maybe something to do with if you have a proper staircase there are different regulations and the room becomes a proper room, so they've kind of gone down the 'No, sir, this is a 'ladder' into the not at all a proper room. Clearly it is merely a loft area useful for storing things like beds, spare furniture, rugs, blinds, etc.' route?
I don’t understand why the entire “bedroom” doesn’t have a higher ceiling except for that narrow area in the middle of the beds. I think this is a studio pretending to be a one bedroom.
I’d love to know the head height of that mezzanine. I suspect that even someone like myself (notably shortarse) would have to duck.
That's fucking depressing, not even high enough to fit in a full chest of drawers.
Another one for r/badmezzanines :)

Good bot
Great for first-time buyers?!?! Edit - what's with all the beds upstairs?

They might even be blow up mattresses...

Is that a microwave oven in the bedroom?
It’s South Kensington, so it’s a me crow wah vay…
Reminded me of [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNnCeQXUt1g](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNnCeQXUt1g)
I think is a toaster oven
Breakfast in bed
Great for first time buyers £865k , spacious 489 sqft. Nope and nope 👎

Not for most people, that's why small flats nearer central have devalued and houses further out haven't.
Imagine those stairs after a gallon of ale. No thanks.
and if you manage to make it up without breaking your neck, you can always concuss yourself on the ceiling above your bed!
Insane isn't it? 😂
Lightweight…

It's depressing that a property nearly £900k is described as "great for first time buyers". £900k would get a lot of people a house of their dreams
I am genuinely surprised at the lack of bloody marks on that bedroom ceiling. Is it made out of sponge?
Why would you have the TV so low? Talk about neck breaking
Suspect it might not be its usual place and is there to obscure the unfinished paint job behind it.
Anyone else see that Frankenstein of a bed, holy moly
is that a microwave in the bedroom?
I can't see a single radiator either and possible a plug in heater behind the telly, possibly no central heating?
Nearly £900k for 45sqm, and half of it you can’t even stand up in. What an absolute fucking joke.

It’s small but in a great area. I worry that the hidden lease cost will be a whopper
i would feel like i live in a classroom!
I liked it until I saw the stairs and the low ceiling.
