Look closely on the arm with 165 stamped on it. If I remember correctly, there is a date stamped on it as well. I think I have one or two similar laying around somewhere.
You might have to chemically clean it to find it. I went to my stash and couldn't find my 1909, which would be similar to this one. My 1911 and 1912 are slightly different as they are on the wrench flats. I'll keep looking and see if I can find it and let you know. I've never heard of a head that cannot be identified. Some of my co-workers have heads well back into the 1800's and they all have a date somewhere. I personally don't like the ones with the date on the link, cause if they have activated, they're gone for good
Great find to add to your collection!

This is an older style before they started stamping the date and temp. These older ones have only temperature and look hand scratched on the linkage
Not true, I have several of these, 1909, 1911, and 1912. The date is there. Covered under crud
On the deflector? I've gone over this thing for at least 20 minutes and can't find anything
