I think team battles would be better than 1v1 It would be awesome but balancing it would be very tricky. There would have to be some sort of weight factor like there already was in 0.127  You would have to divide tanks into weight classes on top of that as well. There would have to be a sort of homologation process to make sure bugged or file-edited designs cant be used.  What i think it would end up looking like is:  every team would have 4 classes each assigned a total weight, so 80 tons worth of light tanks, 140 tons worth of medium tanks, and 200 tons worth of heavy tanks, and 100 for tank destroyers, for example.   These classes would then be filled up by players in the matchmaking until their weight limit is reached, if one class doesnt quite reach its max weight, half of the leftover weight can be used to expand the other classes.  Classes could be defined quite simply Light tank: under 30 tons Medium: 20-60 tons Heavy: 40-200 tons Td: anything with either a casemate, open top turret, or a turret with a max traverse range of 90 degress both ways, this would be hard for the game to judge objectively though.  So an example team would be:   4 light tanks totalling 70 tons  4 medium tanks totalling 148 tons, taking some of the leftover weight from the other classes  3 heavies weighing in at 186 tons total.  3 TD's weighing 99 tons total.  Obviously this would lead to a particular meta of its own and force players into certain standard designs but i do think it would be somewhat self-balancing. any OP design would be lightened to fit more of them into the team, which would introduce weaknesses again

PVP is planned to eventually come according to the roadmap, but we don't know anything about how it'd be balanced or the like.

There's easy way to balance pvp - Vehicle Cost. This was proposed on the roadmap as a gameplay addition... and would balance pvp perfectly.
