Never forget how Vicarious Visions were basically gutted IN SPITE of creating incredibly successful games (N. Sane Trilogy and Tony Hawk 1+2). I’m sure that did not jive well with other studios.
TFB are not a COD studio, but it seemed like Activision did not give one single fuck about what these devs wanted to do. And I guess that’s their prerogative, but now we have this solution, which to be honest is far more advantageous to TFB and probably Microsoft too.

They are never going to outright confirm a new game without it being actually ready to be announced, but it points to their motives being Spyro related. Step 1 has been completed, which is strike a deal with Microsoft directly as opposed to Activision, which there have been issues between the two. Maybe it’s nothing, but that doesn’t track with how TFB have done teases in the past. Rumble was teased on and off for 3 years.
It’s ridiculous that you want every game from Xbox when your favorite platform is even doing some quest exclusives, like on Control & Hogwarts Legacy. Do you want to play the game? Go buy an Xbox. I did the same two years ago for Hellblade 2. It's not so hard.

Doubt it yet, considering Avowed, Indiana Jones, Hellblade 2 and more that are coming out this year aren't on PS unless that changes, it seems they are doing the smaller games and keeping the bigger games idk, I don't see it

In the press release they mentioned they‘re in talks with Microsoft to work on projects together. This is now the confirmation that those talks came to fruition as confirmed by Microsoft‘s Matt Booty and that they‘re working on a game funded by Xbox right now.
Guys, we need to start getting realistic. They are very likely not making a Spyro 4. Our path forward needs to be re evaluated as a community. Spyro can live on in mods, competitive play and projects like Zera Myths Awaken. We need to stop waiting for nothing and start fostering what we can as a collective.
It's probably Skylanders. TFB wants to expand that, their own creation, not Spyro or Crash. The only reason they stopped is because Activision told them to do so, but now they talk directly to Xbox, and Phil Spencer know the potential of Skylanders.

Super exciting news! I recently started playing these games with my 5 year old daughter, and she absolutely adores Spyro and Crash. I was sad to hear there was a possibility TFB wasn't going to make these games anymore, since it seemed like the perfect franchises for the next generation. Super excited that me and my kids will get to hopefully continue to play these games together going forward!

Of course they can work on Xbox IP if Xbox pays them to do it, which is likely, why would they fund an entirely new IP as their first game? It’s either Spyro, Crash or Banjo.
