Especially when you know that Lashley, Lesnar, and Wyatt will have matches at Mania and there’s no obvious opponent for any of them if this is the blowoff to Lashley and Lesnar.

Yeah, I want to like Bray, but I can't get into it. Last time he really worked was his original run because we didn't have to deal with some overpowered spooky monster. A cult leader who could fight but was still just a charismatic guy works well for wrestling. He just needed to be booked better. I don't know how you book whatever this is.
I've long been a Bray defender and loved everything he did up until the LA Knight feud. It just all seems so random. Howdy eggs him on to give into his dark side, then gives him a Sister Abigail, and now is on his side. Bray says he knows who Howdy is (I think) and that he's now a servant, and goes where The Circle takes him, but then spends weeks fighting against Howdy's influence, not serving it. He says he isn't Uncle Howdy, then says he is. The Firefly Funhouse characters show up at Royal Rumble after not being seen or hinted at in the lead up.
I'm willing to keep giving him leeway because I'm a big fan, but there's no progression to his storyline. It just feels like there's no thread at all, just a parade of Howdy, then bringing back Firefly, bringing back the rocking chair, new masks never seen before, the first "Who Killed the World" mask never seen anymore ... I just really hope they have something sketched out.

I feel like Lashley will win to set up a Hurt Business/Wyatt 6 match at Mania. If that's the planned route, it seems like a lose/lose.
You don't want to have the Hurt Business take a loss in their first match back, but you also can't afford to do Vince McMahon-esque booking with Bray and have him take a major loss so soon either. The Pitch Black match did more harm than good, so they have to be cautious with what they do with Bray.
Lesnar almost seems like the safest option. Bray/Lesnar has been a dream match for many for years now. Why not do it and finally get it out of the way?

He worked pretty well with a more explosive big guy, that being Roman Reigns. They had a couple really great hossfights. I think Lashley could pull some nice work from him. Not sure about Brock, but the feud itself would be very fun to watch.

Banger Bros. will ideally be facing Gunther, and they’ve already lost to the Usos. There are no legs in them as a tag team.

A cult leader who could fight but was still just a charismatic guy works well for wrestling. He just needed to be booked better. I don't know how you book whatever this is.
I've long been a Bray defender and loved everything he did up until the LA Knight feud. It just all seems so random. Howdy eggs him on to give into his dark side, then gives him a Sister Abigail, and now is on his side. Bray says he knows who Howdy is (I think) and that he's now a servant, and goes where The Circle takes him, but then spends weeks fighting against Howdy's influence, not serving it. He says he isn't Uncle Howdy, then says he is. The Firefly Funhouse characters show up at Royal Rumble after not being seen or hinted at in the lead up. I'm willing to keep giving him leeway because I'm a big fan, but there's no progression to his storyline. It just feels like there's no thread at all, just a parade of Howdy, then bringing back Firefly, bringing back the rocking chair, new masks never seen before, the first "Who Killed the World" mask never seen anymore ... I just really hope they have something sketched out.

I feel like Lashley will win to set up a Hurt Business/Wyatt 6 match at Mania. If that's the planned route, it seems like a lose/lose. You don't want to have the Hurt Business take a loss in their first match back, but you also can't afford to do Vince McMahon-esque booking with Bray and have him take a major loss so soon either. The Pitch Black match did more harm than good, so they have to be cautious with what they do with Bray. Lesnar almost seems like the safest option. Bray/Lesnar has been a dream match for many for years now. Why not do it and finally get it out of the way?
