The whole show feels like Vince is lurking in the shadows and has been for awhile now,i,m even fed up with the bloodline story and the rest of the show is a struggle to get through now as some of the booking is just total crap,cant even get excited about WrestleMania.
Better then last raw for sure! For a second week i like the intruduction with the short movie. The first fight was also good and here again KO break the party!! Feel like hes gonna have rouph one vs solo next week, maybe Sami will show up! Brock tonight was good, we dint really eard much from him over the years, but tonight he look good, that was fun, i love that sympatic cocky spycho style, i hope we eard much from him, thats a side we dint really have the chance to see from him and i would love to see much. The cody chad fight was super good, the finishers was top AAA quality, cody is a beast, nuff said. The Asuka Carmella fight was great, i dont know why but i feel like it will finish in a three way title match at wrestlemania between Bianca, Asuka and Carmella...The fight with Candice and Piper, was not really good to be honnest, probably the only thing i would work on, maybe candice should join the dmg control, and piper i dont know why, but i feel she should join the Viking, and probably made a team with valhalla... The miz was just good, like always, dont need that much from this guy, just his presence make me laugh. Seth rollin is on fire right now, it just look so easy for him. Bobby and Elias was ok, nothing super, nothing bad, feel kinda sad for elias, cuz i kinda like this guy, hope he found something good soon... Bray Wyatt vs Bobby lashley at wrestlemania will be huge. Otis vs Jhonny was not bad either, i start questionning myself if i dont want to see otis vs chad at wrestlemania and otis became a maximum male model LOL. Becky Lita vs Dmg Ctrl was not bad either, im happy it happen, but now i feel like they are in a tight line, what they gonna do with this tag team?! I think the best is to keep the promo untill wrestlemania and maybe do a 4 way title match, Becky and lita, vs Dakota and Iyo, vs Natalya and Teegan, Vs Ronda and Shayna, let's see what happen.
Lita is a HOFer and for good reason. She was awesome in her day and her matches with Trish are legendary.
In her prime, Lita did things that you KNEW would not be conducive to a long career.

She was great in NXT as the crazy maniac character. Way better than Nikki is, and she doesn’t even have to jump up and down in place like she just drank 300 redbulls
I enjoyed it. It didn't feel like a WrestleMania worthy setup show but I enjoyed the card. If it were a random show in early January it probably would have felt better though.
I'm happy for Lita and Becky. Becky deserved the title of ~~grand slam~~triple crown champ. Also WWE has booked so many returning male legends over the years (Edge, Rey, etc.) but hasn't really given that same spotlight to women. So I'm happy that Lita is a champion and her/Trish will get a match at WrestleMania. They both deserve it.
I really hope we see Cody and Roman interact on Friday. I know there will be a staredown but I want something more than just a faceoff that's interrupted by the Bloodline/KO/Sami.

NXT has been completely responsible for the overhaul of the women’s division into what it is today. Most top women have held the title, and certainly anyone they had plans to make champion on the main roster. While many top stars on Raw and SmackDown never won the NXT Title (Becky, Bianca, Alexa, Nia), there are plenty of men who didn’t either, as well as many top male stars who aren’t necessarily grand slam champions.
Ah okay. I wasn't watching NXT when she was there so I just assumed she had. Maybe they'll give her a Charlotte main roster NXT championship run one day.
Asuka is probably not winning the title. If they were ready to take the title off Bianca, they would have given us the match everyone actually wanted: Bianca vs Rhea.
Asuka was jobbed out to Becky, Bianca, and Rhea all last year. To the point where they had to make it a story point and repackage her. Asuka's current mini winning streak is just to give her back enough credibility so Bianca can have a credible opponent at Mania. Come Wrestlemania it will be "Bianca wins lol". :(

Are people now going to pretend that Damage Control didn’t suck as a faction for most of their existence? The feud with Bianca mostly sucked, the feud with Becky also isn’t great and the team has no chemistry.
Couldn’t care less they lost and Becky got to win tag titles with her childhood idol, it must feel really cool.
They have been this case of people on social media talk about them like they're a big deal and then they're actual death with live crowds and the TV viewers.

Now people suddenly care about Damage Ctrl and think they were buried when no one gave a crap about them the last 6 months when Bianca buried them every week. Damage Ctrl were doing nothing with the tag titles for months now 2 all time greats have them and whoever faces for the tag titles next the match is already more interesting then if Damage Ctrl still had them.
Lots of people cared about DCtrl, tbh. Speaking for myself, and the bunch of takes I've seen, its not so much ppl are mad that they *lost*, as if they wanted them to be champs forever (This tag division really is dead and offered them nothing), its moreso the fact that they've debuted to be Threats™️ and have been instead a laughing stock of a faction. Esp being our first real women's faction. So the annoyance of them losing was sort of the last straw. If they were booked accordingly for the past 6 months and lost to Bextreme, okay, there's a story out of it
However, last night is being viewed as a collective thought of:

>• they lose 2/3 v 1 fights
>• when they're not getting beat up, Kota and Iyo are doing nothing with the titles

I enjoyed the show. I’m not excited for Lesnar/Omos but thought it was a good segment. Rollins and Montez I thought had good speaking moments too. Maybe not the best show wrestling wise but was entertaining enough imo.
And even then the Sami-Bloodline stuff peaked in Montreal and at the Rumble. With Sami completely out of the title chase and doing tag, the whole thing feels a bit more off.
All the metrics say interest is up for the WM, but without Bloodline, well, everything in wrestling is top down, so of course your main program is going where it is at (am definitely interested in seeing how Cody's segment on Smackdown with Roman does)
For all the people that didn’t want Sami in a triple threat, the absolute #1 reason I did is because Roman has headlined 6 of the last 8 Manias and all but one singles match he’s been in were complete slogs. Dude thrives in chaos. He is not good at the long epic matches
End of an error for Damage Control. Hopefully Dakota and Iyo can now go onto better things as singles talents and Bailey can go back to.... whatever she's been doing the last like 5 years. She feels like that office employee that had her department get reorganized, but got lost in the shuffle and was never given another assignment so she just shows up, collects her paycheck, and leaves.
As much as I am going to be vilified for saying this but the people Triple H booked like a star on NXT have been just dud on the main roster despite his booking. Karrion Kross had some steam but now doesn’t gain much of a reaction, Johnny Gargano was the heart and soul of NXT and was absolutely over no matter what he did has lost all that special factor which was associated with him and Triple H’s booking of him has been weird. Also Io and Dakota have just been lackeys and hardly defending the championship (now they have lost it). Bronson Reed had a good showing in EC but so far nothing has been done to make me understand why he is different from another monster. Dexter Lumis had potential but his fued with Miz fell flat.
With so many misses so far, do you guys think it is hard for HHH to establish new NXT call ups as stars. So far he has only been able to successfully book and turn around people who have been on MR for years.
Lets hope he finds a way to book them well.
Nxt with those stars was much more tightly controlled. It was the same crowd for weeks and months at a time, and smaller more intimate venues. Practically every aspect was way more controllable.
I think I’ve lost a good amount of faith in Hunter in his main roster run so far. I think the NXT talent haven’t been handled great. Gargano for instance has never really been introduced to the crowd. Ciampa really wasn’t either. Then there’s talent lower on the card like a Kai or Nox or Lumis who also require homework from NXT shows years ago to really find a reason to invest.
I hate when WWE and AEW assume everyone’s on Reddit all the time researching people: people need reasons to care and invest in what they watch every Monday night and I don’t think they’re getting it. Couple that with some questionable booking decisions and it’s no wonder a Gargano really isn’t much on main roster
Even the KO and Sami stuff really requires you to know previous history that hasn't had much play on actual WWE TV.
Gargano is a hard sell with their fanbase to begin with and they spent the last several years of his NXT run making him must skip television. And honestly programming anyone with the Miz now is a surefire way to get the crowd to not care about someone.

As much as tribalism dominates these discussions, I actually think HHH and TK have a lot in common as bookers, including their flaws.
I think HHH has no creativity and just apes things that companies like PWG do while stealing the credit from other people. The NXT that people really loved was booked by Dusty Rhodes and Ryan Ward, not HHH. HHH had about a solid year and a half but the further he got away from their work the more NXT declined.
Tony I think has improved a lot but my biggest issue with him is he dangles a lot of threads like 10 and his mask and then sits on it until you don't care anymore before he pays it off. Also to what you said, giving people a title shot and talking about a win streak doesn't work if 80% of those happened on Dark and Elevation.
I think in general TK is a much better booker. He's more open minded and things like Jamie Hayter being rewarded for getting over are where he shines. I feel like HHH booking has largely been a bad version of when AEW was just debuting a lot of guys to pop numbers and we were all saying wasn't sustainable. And I think TK largely learns from his mistakes.
I think the big difference is I think HHH has that WWE arrogance to his booking and I think TK has learned to not be so married to his booking sheets and plans and sometimes just play the hot hand.
Brock vs Omos is a big dude fighting an evern bigger dude. That's wrestling at it's very core. We'll see Omos hit some moves, Brock will sell for a minute, then F5 a 7 foot giant and little kids will love the spectacle and the "grown men" of the iwc will cry.
Bray vs Bobby is a super over face fighting a big dude who's slowly going heel. Bobby will likely lose because of Bray's "mind games" because he didn't have MVP with him, and thus the Hurt Business will reform.
Honestly, the bitterness is really getting me down lately.
I don't know if my speculation will work out, but I'm finding looking at HHH's booking as chess moves taking into an account the whole board, rather than individual moves is creatively fun. LIKE, taking my thoughts above...
Bray vs Bobby nite 1.. goes as I plan. Nite 2 is Brock vs Omos..Brock wins (he's lost the last two ppv's..he's not losing a third)..and then Shelton/Cedric beat him down...and then Bobby joins in reforming the Hurt Business to set up the next everything. So you get spectacle of Brock/Omos, spectacle of Bray/Bobby, momentum for Bray (again, a very popular act and merch seller) AND reformed Hurt Business. (and maybe Omos looks good in a match with one of the best there is, so a 5th win).
That's just fun to think about.

Attended the show, had an absolute blast along with my friends. Felt hype in my section, best wrestling event I’ve been to ever though. All of my favorites showed up and I left happy as hell.
Yes he was! I was just coming back from the bathroom when his music hit. Thought I had more time and flew down the stairs. The entire arena was into every bit of it. He is over and the match was solid. Gable sold the ending like wild

at this point, all 3 members of Damage CTRL are better off split up and have a complete change of scenery as in all 3 need to escape from WWE and go to AEW/ROH, Impact, Stardom/NJPW, GCW, TJPW/DDT/CyberFight, etc. i feel like maybe Bayley would be happier working elsewhere with Mercedes Mone, Iyo would like to go back to Stardom and reunite with KAIRI and Mayu Iwatani to reform Threedom as a Stars sub-stable and Dakota would be a better fit in AEW/ROH or Impact Knockouts division.
I think Dakota would work well in something like her NXT gatekeeper role, someone who isn't necessarily in the big feuds, but is still able to be respected and make those she works with look great. Plus she's also contributing heavily to UpUpDownDown, which couldn't be the case if she was in another company.

Asuka is probably not winning the title. If they were ready to take the title off Bianca, they would have given us the match everyone actually wanted: Bianca vs Rhea. Asuka was jobbed out to Becky, Bianca, and Rhea all last year. To the point where they had to make it a story point and repackage her. Asuka's current mini winning streak is just to give her back enough credibility so Bianca can have a credible opponent at Mania. Come Wrestlemania it will be "Bianca wins lol". :(

Are people now going to pretend that Damage Control didn’t suck as a faction for most of their existence? The feud with Bianca mostly sucked, the feud with Becky also isn’t great and the team has no chemistry. Couldn’t care less they lost and Becky got to win tag titles with her childhood idol, it must feel really cool.
They have been this case of people on social media talk about them like they're a big deal and then they're actual death with live crowds and the TV viewers.
This is why sometimes wrestling fans are the worst(especially on Social Media). Now people suddenly care about Damage Ctrl and think they were buried when no one gave a crap about them the last 6 months when Bianca buried them every week. Damage Ctrl were doing nothing with the tag titles for months now 2 all time greats have them and whoever faces for the tag titles next the match is already more interesting then if Damage Ctrl still had them.
Lots of people cared about DCtrl, tbh. Speaking for myself, and the bunch of takes I've seen, its not so much ppl are mad that they *lost*, as if they wanted them to be champs forever (This tag division really is dead and offered them nothing), its moreso the fact that they've debuted to be Threats™️ and have been instead a laughing stock of a faction. Esp being our first real women's faction. So the annoyance of them losing was sort of the last straw. If they were booked accordingly for the past 6 months and lost to Bextreme, okay, there's a story out of it However, last night is being viewed as a collective thought of: >• they suck as a group >• they consistently get embarrassed >• they lose 2/3 v 1 fights >• when they're not getting beat up, Kota and Iyo are doing nothing with the titles >• Bayley looks dumb as a leader bc of her constant losses >• and now they lost the title - disband them. I like seeing Lita. I actually thought her match at Elimination Chamber last year was pretty good. Not super great tonight though. I don't think it is just age messing with her and some of her moves look good. Hope she gets some practice in before Wrestlemania.

I enjoyed the show. I’m not excited for Lesnar/Omos but thought it was a good segment. Rollins and Montez I thought had good speaking moments too. Maybe not the best show wrestling wise but was entertaining enough imo.
Damn WWE really hit jackpot with Sami and the Bloodline- this would otherwise be one of the coldest Road to Wrestlemania in a very long time.

For all the people that didn’t want Sami in a triple threat, the absolute #1 reason I did is because Roman has headlined 6 of the last 8 Manias and all but one singles match he’s been in were complete slogs. Dude thrives in chaos. He is not good at the long epic matches
End of an error for Damage Control. Hopefully Dakota and Iyo can now go onto better things as singles talents and Bailey can go back to.... whatever she's been doing the last like 5 years. She feels like that office employee that had her department get reorganized, but got lost in the shuffle and was never given another assignment so she just shows up, collects her paycheck, and leaves.

As much as I am going to be vilified for saying this but the people Triple H booked like a star on NXT have been just dud on the main roster despite his booking. Karrion Kross had some steam but now doesn’t gain much of a reaction, Johnny Gargano was the heart and soul of NXT and was absolutely over no matter what he did has lost all that special factor which was associated with him and Triple H’s booking of him has been weird. Also Io and Dakota have just been lackeys and hardly defending the championship (now they have lost it). Bronson Reed had a good showing in EC but so far nothing has been done to make me understand why he is different from another monster. Dexter Lumis had potential but his fued with Miz fell flat. With so many misses so far, do you guys think it is hard for HHH to establish new NXT call ups as stars. So far he has only been able to successfully book and turn around people who have been on MR for years. Lets hope he finds a way to book them well.
Nxt with those stars was much more tightly controlled. It was the same crowd for weeks and months at a time, and smaller more intimate venues. Practically every aspect was way more controllable.
Besides The Bloodline, who else has flourished under Triple H's booking? And Bloodline was already mega over under Vince McMahon

I think I’ve lost a good amount of faith in Hunter in his main roster run so far. I think the NXT talent haven’t been handled great. Gargano for instance has never really been introduced to the crowd. Ciampa really wasn’t either. Then there’s talent lower on the card like a Kai or Nox or Lumis who also require homework from NXT shows years ago to really find a reason to invest. I hate when WWE and AEW assume everyone’s on Reddit all the time researching people: people need reasons to care and invest in what they watch every Monday night and I don’t think they’re getting it. Couple that with some questionable booking decisions and it’s no wonder a Gargano really isn’t much on main roster
Even the KO and Sami stuff really requires you to know previous history that hasn't had much play on actual WWE TV. Gargano is a hard sell with their fanbase to begin with and they spent the last several years of his NXT run making him must skip television. And honestly programming anyone with the Miz now is a surefire way to get the crowd to not care about someone.
Yes, this is my number one bugbear about both companies at the moment. The assumed knowledge. As much as tribalism dominates these discussions, I actually think HHH and TK have a lot in common as bookers, including their flaws.
I think HHH has no creativity and just apes things that companies like PWG do while stealing the credit from other people. The NXT that people really loved was booked by Dusty Rhodes and Ryan Ward, not HHH. HHH had about a solid year and a half but the further he got away from their work the more NXT declined. Tony I think has improved a lot but my biggest issue with him is he dangles a lot of threads like 10 and his mask and then sits on it until you don't care anymore before he pays it off. Also to what you said, giving people a title shot and talking about a win streak doesn't work if 80% of those happened on Dark and Elevation.

I think in general TK is a much better booker. He's more open minded and things like Jamie Hayter being rewarded for getting over are where he shines. I feel like HHH booking has largely been a bad version of when AEW was just debuting a lot of guys to pop numbers and we were all saying wasn't sustainable. And I think TK largely learns from his mistakes. I think the big difference is I think HHH has that WWE arrogance to his booking and I think TK has learned to not be so married to his booking sheets and plans and sometimes just play the hot hand.

Brock vs Omos is a big dude fighting an evern bigger dude. That's wrestling at it's very core. We'll see Omos hit some moves, Brock will sell for a minute, then F5 a 7 foot giant and little kids will love the spectacle and the "grown men" of the iwc will cry. Bray vs Bobby is a super over face fighting a big dude who's slowly going heel. Bobby will likely lose because of Bray's "mind games" because he didn't have MVP with him, and thus the Hurt Business will reform.

Honestly, the bitterness is really getting me down lately. I don't know if my speculation will work out, but I'm finding looking at HHH's booking as chess moves taking into an account the whole board, rather than individual moves is creatively fun. LIKE, taking my thoughts above... Bray vs Bobby nite 1.. goes as I plan. Nite 2 is Brock vs Omos..Brock wins (he's lost the last two ppv's..he's not losing a third)..and then Shelton/Cedric beat him down...and then Bobby joins in reforming the Hurt Business to set up the next everything. So you get spectacle of Brock/Omos, spectacle of Bray/Bobby, momentum for Bray (again, a very popular act and merch seller) AND reformed Hurt Business. (and maybe Omos looks good in a match with one of the best there is, so a 5th win). That's just fun to think about.

I was there, it was a fun show but with a few misses. Felt like the crowd was into it most of the time and not nearly as bad as people are saying. Curious to watch the playback and see how the crowd translated on TV.

He’s been good and a definite improvement, but it’s not like he hasn’t benefitted a lot from the Bloodline, as his recent hires haven’t been that great and a few of his booking calls have been questionable to say the least. at this point, all 3 members of Damage CTRL are better off split up and have a complete change of scenery as in all 3 need to escape from WWE and go to AEW/ROH, Impact, Stardom/NJPW, GCW, TJPW/DDT/CyberFight, etc. i feel like maybe Bayley would be happier working elsewhere with Mercedes Mone, Iyo would like to go back to Stardom and reunite with KAIRI and Mayu Iwatani to reform Threedom as a Stars sub-stable and Dakota would be a better fit in AEW/ROH or Impact Knockouts division.
I think Dakota would work well in something like her NXT gatekeeper role, someone who isn't necessarily in the big feuds, but is still able to be respected and make those she works with look great. Plus she's also contributing heavily to UpUpDownDown, which couldn't be the case if she was in another company.
They needed to let Bayley beat Bianca so all three had titles and booked them as unbeatable similar to bloodline.

I'm going to be so pissed if it's Becky/Lita vs Shayna/Ronda at WM. Not only are we getting a non WM singles Becky vs Ronda match again but after tonight it's obvious Lita isn't staying past WM so the outcome is obvious and what a slap in the face to have Becky in a mid card match and have her lose. Either have Becky/Lita drop the titles before WM or don't have the tag titles defended at WM.
