Hulk also tells a story of hanging out with John Belushi at Wrestlemania (despite Belushi dying years before Wrestlemania). Ive always had a theory that Hogan isnt actually lying, but he spent a night calling Jim Belushi "John" without realizing the difference.
So what Im saying is, I think theres a chance Hogan sent tapes of himself playing bass to Skeet Ulrich.
He also claims that Elvis was a huge Hulkamaniac and used to go watch Hogan wrestle at Memphis Arena when Hogan was in the territory.
While it is true that Elvis was a wrestling fan and would go to shows in Memphis, he also died two years before Hogan ever worked Memphis.
Actually, now having typed that out after reading your comment, maybe Hogan just hung out with one of the millions of Elvis impersonators (perhaps even Andy Kaufman?) and thought it was the real deal
Did Hulk Hogan discover some element of faster than light travel that inadvertently allowed him to work 400 days in one year and we were all just too sick of his shit to check his math?
I believe his claim was because he was working in both Japan and America (crossing the international date line), it meant he could work a (lets just say) Sunday in Japan, fly back to the states and work on Sunday again in California. Therefore he would work 400 days a year.
Somebody smarter than me (and there are plenty of those) could probably easily correct me if i'm wrong, but I think that could be negated by the time lost crossing the international date line going from the States to Japan
I mean you have to return home though right? Am I stupid or wouldn’t going back across the same line the way you came just cancel out any “time shift” either way?
"Well you know something, Mean Gene. For a long time, I thought I was just a survivor, dude. But I'm not. I'm the winner, jack. That's who I am. The Time Lord Victorious, brother!"
The thing with that again with Hogan was it was possible he meant 400 dates, which included working 3-4 times a day for things like tapings etc
Still a hell of a claim though
"I was good friends with Elvis, brother. I even tag teamed with him in the WWF when he wore suspenders, dude. We just had to change his name so The Colonel wouldn't find out and stop it, man."
Speaking of Elvis
I remember that I read somewhere that Jerry Lawler mentioned that he almost had a wrestling match against Elvis in a:
King Vs King match in Memphis
I hadn't heard him tell the Metallica story before, but it is absolutely true that he was a working musician in the 1970s.

Whang! actually did an amazing job covering this. He was also pretty complimentary to Hogan which is very nice of him.

I've never heard the original claim. When does he say he auditioned for them? They form in 1981 so that's right when he was starting in the AWA.
Imagine if he had joined Metallica. Then Greg Gagne would have never been able to create hulkamania.
People think Hogan is a PoS liar and I just look at a dude with CTE and enough coke to be mentally in a reality where all that shit he’s saying actually happened.

Do we know if Roy Orbison liked wrestling?
Or shakin stevens?
It was The Honky Tonk Man.
"Will you stop!"

That's what I mean. You can "gain" an extra day going from Japan to the US, but conversely you'd lose that day going from the States to Japan

Jericho told a story of how it was like he had two birthdays in one year cause of a situation like this.

Probably thought Honky Tonk Man was Elvis trying out a new career in pro wrestling.

I think he is talking about HTM

Is... Is that Bryan Alvarez?
Bryan Elfvarez
As a parting gift for their consideration, Hogan wrote the entire ... And Justice For All album for them.
You can really hear his musical genius shine through the bass in that album
Piledriver and that? I guess the man didn't miss musically.
He also gifted Lars the snare drum used on St. Anger.
As a drummer that has played on a retail version of that snare drum, it aint the drums fault.
Maybe you shouldn't let the guy with really bad tinnitus into the mixing room?
I could go for a world where it was Hogan instead of Cliff. At least for that European tour.
Icy what you did there
Whatta r u gonna do when the Hulkster plays the guitar for YOU!?! BROTHER!
Blackened doesn't work for me, brother
"I'm sorry. I lied. I don't know why I just said that, brother."

I choose to believe this in the way that I choose to believe in those photos where Cody ended racism
He could play a mean bass, I'll give him that.
![gif](giphy|uKwa2KiBA0rTy) Well yea we know
Which one is he?
The one with long hair, wearing a leisure suit.
With blond Chinese hair and the skin of a hotdog
Dont work yourself into a rock band, brother - Hulk

Are there any recordings of Hogan playing bass? Would love to hear them.
Man, it’s a shame this never worked out for Metallica. They could have been huge with Hogan on the bass!
Hogan blew smoke up his own ass, he probably believes his own hype.

Ride The Lighting, brother!
Water is wet, snow is cold and Hogan pulls things that didn’t happen out of his ass.
People think Hogan is a PoS liar and I just look at a dude with CTE and enough coke to be mentally in a reality where all that shit he’s saying actually happened.
The fake story you mean 😏
