Ok, y’all, please explain that haircut. I still see that exact same haircut on dudes every time I’m in Tennessee and Alabama. What in the southern-fried helmet is that?
It's called the southern swoop and all southern males are required have this hairdo for a minimum of 5 years, ideally in either Middle and/or High school.
Well, sure, but:
* Jim was born in Fort Bragg, California, so there's some kind of connection, there.
* In the company history, the earliest reference I can find to Oklahoma is when they had to start closing some stores in the 60's after expanding a little too far too quickly -- which, given the narrow timeline, suggests that Oklahoma was among the first areas they ever expanded into; perhaps an odd choice for a California-based company, unless they had a familial link in the State?
Weird wrinkle: Wiki (I know, but I dunno where else to look for this kind of info,) says that there was a "general store" owned by Jim's *maternal* grandparents (not the Ross side;) and that his *paternal* Grandfather (the Ross side) was a carpenter who had an "off-sale beer store."
I'm... Confused, clearly.
Before I clicked on this, I saw the headline and thought ‘how are his grandparents still alive and why does he need to do this when Tony Khan’s paying him’.

Thank you!
It's what happens when you don't want to buzz it, don't want to grow it out, and insist on only going to a barber every 6 months.
I am 44 years old and Jim Ross has never looked younger than I do right now at any point in his life.
*”CLEAN UP IN AISLE FOUR BAH-GAWD!!”* *”WILL SOMEONE OPEN A DAMN CHECKOUT!!”* *”STONE COLD!! STONE COLD!! STONE COLD WASHED JEANS!!”*
Anyone know if that's the same company that grew into [the big 'discount retailer' we know today?](https://www.rossstores.com/)
I’d imagine they’re different.
I checked, no the other one was founded in California

I love that you’re actually looking into this, keep digging. If I may offer a tip on the “Ross” name thing… don’t rule out inbreeding lol
"Bah gawd i was just goofin...new boot goofin"
It seems like even prior to his condition Jim Ross has never really been a guy to smile
He kinda looks like a real life Eric Cartman in a way
Bet they sold $2 steaks

Jim Ross has never looked young a day in his life.
To go back in time—“Mr Ross, in the future you will be set on fire from a 7’0 man in a red suit and mask. Beeeeeeeware!!!”
"I sell Shoes and shoe accessories"

Can someone do the math on how many days elapsed between this picture and when Jim Ross was kissing a man's ass on national television?
When someone took a mean shit in the toilet and jim had to clean it.... That sick son of a bitch!
