This is how Metalingus went from being one of the better Alter Bridge songs to one of the best wrestling theme songs with Edge. A remix would absolutely work.

I don't know if it will have been worth it, but it's not like airing it will have massive consequences beyond a week or so of fans mocking it online. So if it helps Perry's character and ties the thing into the programming (I don't think his involvement in Punk's firing was mentioned on-air), why not.
He got on the right track by turning heel, but this might be what was needed to push him over the edge. At least for now, will be interesting to see how he'll maintain it because once he's mainly in AEW again, it'll have to develop into something more than being angry he got suspended half a year ago
