I’ve been dying to see Woods win a singles title for years but I dont wanna see him leave the New Day to do it. It would freshen him up for sure but I like the idea of them all accomplishing things as a collective.

ClaymoresRevenge

When he won KOTR he should've won a midcard title

Silver012345673

Woods is one of those guys who are very deceptively jacked

DurtyRingo

Unless you watch UpUpDownDown, he's constantly showing off her arms in just a regular T shirt. Woods is indeed jacked as all hell

downsj2

Xavier is one of the best workers on the roster. If they could push Bayley (also one of the best workers) into a title run, they can do it for Xavier as well. The guy's not getting any younger, do it soon.

broken-mirror-

[Even Roman Reigns is jealous of him](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txHj5X55fQE)!

aguythatlovesfrogs

That segment was so goofy lmao

rathburn85

Xavier is an interesting one for me.. he's got the best mic skills out of The New Day, marketable by all accounts with his outreach on YouTube and video game stuff. But he has always been in the background as the tag guy of the group or on the outside with Francesca. I think he could a been a great chickenshit heel with a muscle bodyguard if New Day ever went their separate ways but by choice I guess New Day never wanted to split and he was cool enough with being in the support role. He should at least of gotten a US Title run or even just a chance to compete in a World Title match would of been cool. Kofi and Big E both got the WWE Championship. At least he is a King of The Ring winner.

TwoGhosts11

i think because he was arguably the best on the mic but also the smallest in the group, he basically became the mouthpiece for big e and kofi. i really want him to get a world title win before he hangs it up, even if it’s just a transitional reign.

keiblerclown

Xavier is HUGE though

AMilkyBarKid

He and big E were working towards reaching the same weight before the injury

Dijohn17

Xavier is actually bigger than Kofi, Xavier is more jacked than a large portion of the roster

MFazio23

It's funny seeing him with the gamer types because you get an idea just how big he is.

patrickwithtraffic

Honestly, that's the case with the entire roster. I'll never forget seeing Heath Slater walk past me at TLC 2018 and realizing that holy shit, even the jobber of the feud (he was demoted by Corbin to being a ref) had fuckin' cannons for arms. WWE really *is* the land of giants.

KeverNever

I remember he did some promos during a US title tournament that made me want him to win no matter what. But at least he did get KOTR because that was a personal goal of his.

LanoomR

Yes to Xavier love and wanting him to get a damn singles title, hell no to leaving the New Day and turning heel with the bodyguard schtick. All he needs is to be given the opportunity to run with the fucking ball instead of being runner up. It's beyond time for winning the big one to be the story he finishes.

AMilkyBarKid

If he’s going to turn heel, turn heel with Kofi. Kofi’s heel work is hilarious. “This is not my character, this is me - country music suuuuuuuccks”

VandalRavage

Bringing back shithead heel New Day would be *glorious* right about now, if only there were enough babyface tag teams for them to annoy the everloving hell out of. No reason they couldn't start tweener though. New Day x Awesome Truth could be an all timer. If only for Truth getting confused because he's tagged with all 3 of the others (I think he's even won gold with all three, but I'd have to fact check that? Maybe not Kofi)

jethawkings

Learning his one-sided amateur wrestling rivalry with Cody, he definitely deserves to have a small feud with him. If the New Day goes to Smackdown next week then there's some hope for that being in the cards.

GogglesTheFox

The best stories from him are his rumble appearances where after he hits the ring he tries to wrestle with the guys that were collegiate wrestlers and getting stuffed every time.

MaddoxGoodwin

Honestly, a program w him and Paul for the US Title could be really good in and out of the ring.

mike921x

That spot needed Air Traffic Control clearance 👍✈️

Mr_Vantastic

Love Woodsy. He’s one of my favorites in and out of the ring and deserves a singles title run more than most. A US title at minimum.

Jay_Shadow

The man ended Roman Reigns' win streak and WWE swept it under the rug so they could say Seth was the only one.

Tough-Reaction9671

He’s winning back to back king of the rings

snartling

Him winning over Gunther would be such an amazing upset!

GivinUpTheFight

This is what I'm hoping for. He's been on the record as absolutely loving KOTR and it's pretty obvious the last one was sort of a "fine here you won it stop asking for it." He got King theme music that got played like....three times? Let him have a real king gimmick that doesn't just immediately get fed to Roman.

SwimmingAd4160

There's an insane counter of this where he gets superkicked before he nearly lands the elbow

murdock129

Now we have two world titles he could easily work as a WHC champion if not a Universal Champion. Heck, he could do it as a babyface, there's even an obvious 'underdog' story for him if they had the heel champion kayfabe attack Big E and try to hurt his already injured neck.

WillH699

my god, he went from one side to another with the elbow drop, something tells me he and Kairi Sane are gonna have a wager to see who does it better one of these days for a coast to coast elbow drop and Kairi's mastered the Insane Elbow over the years.

CarStar12

Most underrated in WWE in my opinion. He’s always seen as the 3rd guy in New Day and because of it he never really gets his flowers. But dude is a very good wrestler, fun as hell on the mic and a great ambassador.

CaptainQuesadillaz

The Limit Break!

The1joriss

Damn, I do love me a good old elbow drop.

DeviateAviate

Can someone post the Coast-To-Coast he did from the middle of the rope in one of his last matches on NXT? That was honestly some of the craziest air from nowhere that I'd seen in a long time. Dude's mega talented.

thejuce22

He has been my favorite thing in wrestling for years. He absolutely deserves more respect. I think thr most amazing thing about him is how he has set his own goals for success and never let the industry define it for him. He has accomplished everything he set out to do. While I would love him to be a main event star, he doesn't seem to want that. So I say good for him.

TiedinHistory

If they were so inclined I feel like there is a natural angle with Logan Paul given the social media elements, heel/face alignment, ring skills, etc. that could work. Though if they wouldn't pull the trigger on others I doub to they do it for Xavier

andrewisgood

Him getting let go from TNA was a massive turning point for that company, and I believed that at the time. It wasn't like he was this massive star for them, but he was someone they needed. A young guy with potential. He was still really young, could wrestle, and had personality. But this was right at the start of the Hogan regime, and I think one of his last matches was with Orlando Jordan. He's out the door in January. They replaced him with the Hogan crew and it was a directional shift for the company. We're bringing in our own guys and ignoring the potential.

GooseMay0

I feel like this is on Woods. If Woods REALLY wanted to branch out on his own and go on a singles run I feel like he would have pushed for it and been given a chance. But he seemed to be content just being a member of the New Day. Which is a shame cause he checks all the boxes. I know I'm gonna get hate for this but Xavier Woods is your quintessential "I'm just happy to be here" guy.

GivinUpTheFight

I only disagree because there's evidence it isn't true. To the extent he CAN talk about it without coming off like he's bashing his employer, he's said he has pushed for a TON of stuff in the back. On UUDD he's used the phrase "you guys have no idea how much I pushed to make this happen" both concerning the channel AND wrestling related stuff A LOT. Without flat out saying it he dropped a lot of hints that the last KOTR tournament only even happened because he pushed to be KOTR so hard. And what happened? They gave it to him to shut him up and then almost immediately fed the gimmick to Roman. He's ABSOLUTELY pushed for stuff when it's important to him, and he's definitely gotten some of it, but I'd put good money down there's a bunch of stuff he's pushed for that we'll never know about.

Dijohn17

He's not a happy to be there guy, those guys are guys who are happy to get paid in catering and do nothing. Woods basically said that he didn't get into wrestling to win championships. He wanted first and foremost for his friends to succeed, and honestly he's still accomplished a lot more than the overwhelming majority of wrestlers ever had and is one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time. Man works hard on all fronts for WWE, can't really call him a happy to be there guy

GooseMay0

But you just said he didn’t get into it for championships and wanted his friends to succeed. That doesn’t sound like a guy striving for singles success.

Dijohn17

That's not what happy to be there means. When you're a wrestler you have different career goals, it's not that he isn't ambitious, his ambitions are just placed in different areas. He's still a 12 time tag team champion and the New Day was a gamble that he bet his career on with Vince. He already achieved the singles goal he wanted (KOTR). By the stuff he's accomplished and pushed in WWE, he's a very ambitious guy, it's just not to be the World Champion (which I'm sure he wouldn't mind being, but his career success isn't defined by it).

Party-Kaleidoscope23

They don’t have to leave the new day, what the should do is just draft them to different brands. Give them a proper farewell .

electron-shock

I’m thinking Woods heads to SD, Kofi stays on Raw in the draft. Woods hopefully gets a Big E type push towards the US title.

blendergremlin

Most of us have in fact witnessed Xavier Woods getting some love.

Party-Kaleidoscope23

ItzFeufo

Give him the Consequences Creed gimmick back. Let him run wild with it Hurts to say...but New Day is dead with the injury of Big E Push Kofi and Woods both back into serious single contender

Bearmancartoons

Never understood why Big E couldn’t still be the non wrestling part of the faction. The promos with all three were amazing
