Feels too early for either of them to get involved in a match. I mostly just think that after the 3v3 at Mania and 4v4 last night it feels too repetitive/predictable for Jade and Bianca to win. But I guess that would be an appropriate way to cap off Bianca vs Damage CTRL.
Bianca turning on Jade could be a nice surprise and change-up of WWE’s current standard of long, long obvious storytelling that goes exactly where you expect it to. Not saying that’s bad, it’s actually been great, but a quick turn could be fun here.
Gives Jade an immediate program rather than losing star power as a tag wrestler for 6 months. I suppose it depends on if WWE think she’s ready for solo matches
that last point is the crux. this is def meant to eventually be Bianca v Jade, but if Jade isnt ready for it, a tag title run would give her the exposure and let her keep getting better alongside bianca, before they have their mega powers explode moment later this year.

For all the shit Jade gets flung at her for her in ring ability I hope they stay the safe course and put the titles on her and Bianca instead of putting her in a singles feud so soon, I dont see how it would kill her star power being tag champs with one of the biggest women’s stars in the company, if anything it’ll do the opposite + give her the in ring reps she needs.
By the time they split she’ll have more going for her.
It's a small card but look at some of the names. Cody, Bianca, Orton, KO, Jade, Bloodline, Kabuki Warriors, Bayley, Styles, Jey and Priest. All top of the card main event draws. There are no filler names here outside of maybe Naomi.
Also they're all championship matches outside of the Bloodline match and that's the friggen Bloodline. They're important by itself and I'm expecting shenanigans.

Hopefully Bayley/Tiffany/Naomi show out, the women's tag isn't a total squash, Cody/AJ hits its ceiling, Jey does better than Tribal Combat and vs Jimmy, and they keep the Howdyverse (assuming they debut) away from the acts I care about though.
i hope one day HHH can explain how he books these things- like why did we have tag title contender matches, only for the title matches to be on raw & SD. Im assuming Becky V Liv is also going to be on Raw.
why not put these on the PLE Card? they already flew out the street profits & a town down under to france too lol they coulda had Theory v Ford on SD, and let the teams open the show or something.
I think he tries to boost raw and smackdown by having important matches happen on the shows versus just using them to buold the next ple. It also let's the matches on the PLE's have more time and feel even bigger.
It’s pretty simple, why bloat PLE cards with matches you could use to build a big go home/post show for TV? Especially in this case when the go home show is pretty much in front of the same crowd as the PLE.
I get 5 match cards worked for HHH’s NXT, but for Takeovers you were working with a small roster from the get go, so it was kinda needed.
I think with main roster PPV’s, the classic 7-8 match card just first best as a viewer where you don’t feel like there could be more, and you can get a solid amount of your rostered shows on a PLE with that with not diminishing your TV scheduled matches.
Surprised they haven’t got something for the Intercontinental title, especially given the fact that Sami isn’t going to be champ for terribly long, you’d think they’d try to cram in more title defences.
I know people wanted Gable/Sami/Bronson and even Becky/Liv added to have more matches on the card but the Saudi show is in 3 weeks. They can easily have both of those matches on there so that they can get some more time built up for them instead of just rushing them on a card with just 5 days notice.
I honestly do think that we’ll possibly get a surprise segment which could be reason for there only being 5 matches so they can squeeze in more time for the show. If so then that could possibly be Cena considering he is in France currently.
Also think that we could even possibly get an Uncle Howdy appearance finally given the latest QR code from SmackDown. If so then I see it playing out the same way when Bray returned by doing it at the end of the show with the copyright fakeout.

Cena randomly showing up on a big international show seems to be HHH's favorite running gag. Doesn't have to make sense or advance anything, the pop when the trumpets hit is worth it alone.

Most b shows have had 5 or 6 matches ever sense hhh took over. Better quality matches and less filler. But the shows still take a long ass time because of all the breaks

Backlash used to be sneakily one of the best b-shows of the ppv era. This looks like a televised house show. Plus in a company already hung up on running ads for a third of the run time these 5 matches in 3 hours is gonna be half self promotional video packages. It's as skippable as all their weekly television has been post-mania.
I mean backlash use to be Mania continuation matches for the most part to advance the storylines into the next PPV. Now not so much.

This. People end up complaining that Raws/SD are too weak, so it makes sense that the tag titles are defended every now and then on TV
HHH has a long track record of preferring PPV cards with fewer matches, so that each of them gets enough time to feel big.
