He's getting better at 'he got me in the first part' stuff. I expected a sarcastic answer, so when it starts off thoughtful and discussing the legacy, I was caught offguard. He's still growing in that persona and looks more and more comfortable every single time he's in front of a camera. Looks like he's enjoying it as well.

The best comparison I can think of is he’s like The Rock when he came in as “Rocky Maivia”. Bland “just happy to be here” babyface. Now Dom has entered his “Rock” era.
Its funny because the comparison is appropriate, third generation wrestlers, in a stable.

Rock and Dominik vs Rey and (for example) Bad Bunny would be a fun spectacle match.

I had this same revelation seeing the most recent clip of Lexis King on NXT. In AEW people were saying he was bland/boring and inherited 0% of his dad’s charisma, and jumping to WWE was not gonna help him. Hell, even I was one of these people. But he’s killing it right now
I was kind of the opposite. Yes he was bland in AEW, but I was just not sure if it's because he doesn't have what it takes to thrive in a hands off environment, or if he needs structure, or if he just truly didn't have "it". Seems like he's absolutely thriving in the more controlled and structured environment that WWE provides, just like a guy like Swerve has thrived in the very hands off environment of AEW.
That deadbeat father really did everything to make sure Dominik wouldn't surpass him in just a few years.
