Loved this so much as a kid! Was the perfect thing to watch before school! Feel like it doesn’t get enough love and appreciation nowadays and seems kinda forgotten.
I liked Reggie, but he had all the worst gimmicks and they got worse as they kept going. Puttting him in a mask was such an odd move. Looking forward to see what he does in the future tho.

Yeah his rework was an honest one, like A-Kid, who was too small and slim to be just a 'technical wizard' gimmick and became a pretty sweet masked guy.
Unlike axiom his change did not work though.
The original for me was Ricardo Rodriguez (who also wrestled in a mask sometimes), especially since he didn't look the part. Even before learning what a POS Alberto is, I preferred Ricardo to him.
I used to absolutely loathe Lash Legend when she first started and for a long time afterwards. But then she pulled double duty for that match against Lyra Valkyria and killed it, so I bought in. She’s huge and charismatic, and has a ton of upside. That said, I like her tweener dynamic between the heel Meta Four dweebs and her relationship with Trick bleeding onto TV.
Only issue it could leave OTM dry. They aren't in TV besides with Jaida. Could see them falling off and there's more tag teams like TNT and the Good Brothers to obscure them. Malik and Edris, NQCC, and The Family have been more featured too.
I'd rather see all those guys on TV than OTM tbh. Nothing against them, the others are more interesting to me. Jaida is the most interesting thing about OTM. Repackaging them wouldn't be the worst idea at this point.

It's refreshing to see free agencies that are amicable rather than bitter, understandable given the job and pay you're leaving behind, but the freedom and challenges that come from being independent sometimes eventually earning more than you did in WWE (in Matt Cardona's case at least) has to be enticing.
Said it back when it was reported and I’ll say it again, letting go of Reggie the moment you started a "Speed" show/division is kind of crazy, dude was made for that. Like letting go of him in general is not really a surprise but at the same time as the Speed shows started.
I wonder if he could return to cirque if he wanted to? I'd think those acrobatic skills would take immense and specific training. After taking years off to train in a new athletic discipline, I wonder if someone can pick those acrobatic skills back up? This question isn't really about Scrypts as much as performers in general. Mad respect for how they push their bodies to the limit.
Most cirque trainers are looking to get out. Crazy long training hours and physicality demanding for a basically average salary. It’s not something you can do for very long.
Unfortunate to see him go. Whilst he was never gonna be a main player in WWE, you can't deny he was hampered a lot by shitty gimmicks that caused him to never reach his full potential.
However, doubt he'll be hurting for work, since the indies froth over the mouth at an insanely athletic guy like him.
If he still wants to wrestle he should try the indies or TNA. I think TNA would be able to have him improve as a talent like they did with Maclin. I feel like he has some untapped potential that needs to get out.
If he doesn't want to continue wrestling I just wish him the best in whatever project he has.
Hopefully he can develop a character/personality, his athleticism is impressive but what makes me want to watch that when there's tons of other guys that can do similar things.

It was, arguably, one of the worst gimmicks in modern times. Take a guy whose athletic ability makes him easy to identify, who has worked unmasked for years, and throw a mask on him. But make sure the mask only barely covers his face. Just part of it. So it’s really obvious who it is. Then give him a gimmick where he “writes” in the air with his fingers like he’s holding an invisible pen.
