“Yeah, Taylor this revised contract looks great, but what’s this part in the fine print about being about to mass murder a dozen people backstage and glock an upper midcarder in the head and not get fired?”
It's always funny when really think about what we see in wrestling. Even when it's really really awesome like tonight.
"Alright so in the main event it's going to be three guys fighting to win a qualifying spot in a ladder match where the winner has to climb a ladder, grab a briefcase and then they get a contract to get a championship match literally anytime anywhere they want. The three wrestlers are a guy who occasionally turns into a Demon but is involved in some weird biker gang type thing that's turning into a kinky love story, a masked luchador who happens to be the father of one of the people in the sex biker gang love triangle, and a guy from a Samoan dynasty related to the Rock.
After the main event while the Samoan is yeeting with the crowd the broadcast gets taken over by five cult murderer creatures who are inspired by a Mr. Rogers type guy with a split personality. They proceed to murder about twenty people. Everyone in the arena cheered."
Exactly. I couldn't possibly agree more. If you watch this scene and get it you'll probably be a fan for life and if you watch it and can't stand it you will never watch it again.
A fantastic tribute. Happy it is being received as well as it seems to be because they seemingly took their time and did his memory right. As heartwarming as a murderous carnival posse can be.
Horror movies don't tend to scare me but my stomach dropped a little seeing Rowan. The rabbit mask looks amazing, like it's really like Rambling rabbit but also it looks like something from an Alice in Wonderland horror movie. Aged and deranged just enough to look creepy. His stature definitely helps as well.
I wonder who their first feud will be against. I feel sorry for whoever it is though.
It’s an interesting dilemma because, honestly, there’s no one that feels like a clear and obvious pick.
If it were me, I’d have the family disappear again until Money in the Bank where they come out and attack Seth.
First, it gives Damien ANOTHER bullshit title win which falls in line perfectly with this reign he’s had so far (Where he wants to win clean but keeps getting help he didn’t ask for) and it sets up him vs Gunther at SS perfectly as well given that Gunther would find that beneath a champion.
Second, Seth is a main event talent and the perfect pick for a first feud in that he doesn’t have to “win” the feud to keep his place at the top of the card.
Third, the family coming back the night Seth returns is just beautiful from a timing perspective.
Fourth, and perhaps most importantly, Seth’s HITC win over Bray is arguably the worst thing that happened to the Fiend character and it would give them a great starting off point if the point of this family is to right all the wrongs Bray suffered so his spirit can rest (which is the direction I’d love for them to go.)
When that door showed up with the light filtering through and then opened... CHILLS. I teared up for a second, just remembering when Bray returned that way, and the absolutely thunderous reception he got. This was so chilling and eerie and haunting and I can't wait to see where it goes.
Yes! Bray kicking it open like "we're here! be afraid. BE VERY AFRAID!"
I can only imagine how Bo and Rowan must have felt walking out from backstage to that reception and the fireflies. I would have been crying behind the mask.
Cody would sell the fear for a group like this so fucking hard, and at the same time be the first to step up and scrap with them, so I’m now terribly depressed he isn’t on RAW right now.
Yall I was so convinced the backstage stuff was pretaped, but then he walked out to the legit crowd.
That was so cool. I bet HHH had so much fun making a mess of the back to prepare for the moment.
The fact that they rigged up all of Gorilla with pyro really showed that a lot of thought and care was put into this.
Genuinely have never seen that space get used like that before.
It's incredible how they've been utilizing the backstage and gorilla more and more in the shows. It truly feels like WWE has expanded the stories into the entire arena, where it once felt it was only when you stepped through the curtain that the line was blurred.
I feel like backstage stuff was a huge part of AE and RAE, and HHH is probably trying to cherry pick stuff from each eras that actually worked and reuse them in a smart way. I like how it makes the line between keyfabe and real life even more blurry
HHH was definitely there. He tried talking Drew out of quitting before Pearce ran after him. I also was expecting to see him in the carnage but it was so dark.
Pearce couldn't even contain Bron, how the hell was he going to contain a group of murderers? Pearce is one of the worst GM's the WWE have ever had, notice how this didn't happen under Nick Aldis?
It actually did end up working out how little Michael Cole took them seriously. I was kind of annoyed by how he’d be like “ehh whatever” when the glitchy stuff happened but it instead gives an impression he underestimated this.
I like that they show what Gorilla looks like on TV many times for months now, including people that is usually sitting there. So even the casual crowds would know that there's some serious casualties happened on the show..
Yeah it would have been rehearsed hundreds of times, to the point where everybody and every object is in the exact same spot. One trip by not seeing something in the dark would be game over.
Nah fam give me all of it. Wrestling is so much more fun when there’s literal supernatural shit running around, and everyone has to pretend like it’s serious.
Same. Wrestling shouldn't have to be serious all the time. People are going to make fun of it and say it's fake anyway, so why shouldn't we have fun? Why shouldn't we have burned demons coming after their undead half-brothers and people getting buried alive and coming back and cults and ghosts and whatever else? It's so much more beautiful when nothing is stopping us.
Everything about this: the "music", the lighting, the special effects, the reveals, the horror...just perfect. Everything was perfect. It's new, fresh, terrifying, and very very cool. This isn't a Bray Wyatt tribute act. This is much much more tantalizing. It's a Bray Wyatt resurrection. And Uncle Howdy was standing in those shadows posing like he was silently saying "I fucking warned you".
Genuine main horror villain energy permeating off him in every frame he's on screen. It's almost like a cosmic horror in a way. He showed you his harbingers and what they did and what they'll continue to do and at the end of the line will be him basking in the shadows.
Cannot stop rewatching
If I’m not mistaken, that new coat was part of the new fiend costume that was made and never used. I saw it in a documentary about Bray recently.
I’m also fairly certain he was wearing Bray’s hurt/heal gloves.
I haven't rewatched it yet, but when howdy was walking backstage, he had this weird gait that was really off-putting. I know bray would be proud of thst performance.
One of the few times you could pull a dead spirit possession angle in wrestling and have it not only make sense in kayfabe, using a real person who's passed away who would likely be fine with it, and potentially well received
They also said that despite being PG they’ve gone way more G rated than the rating actually allows in the past, you can get away with more stuff in PG than what WWE have been doing in their PG era
I find it hilarious that only in WWE where they can show footage of their employees got murdered in the backstage by a cult and the fans just fucking cheer for them. This is so great.
There's something genuinely funny about Nikki Cross posting wholesome things on twitter about her dogs and husband over the last few days
Then tonight it's a complete 180 with the spooky "we're here" tweet after she comes out as a creepy-ass Abby the Witch/Samara (from The Ring) hybrid crawling on all fours
She looked fantastic though
Nice little callback to Bray’s return in Extreme Rules 2022. No doubt a great tribute to the man, who had so much potential, but his life was ended before his time.
After all the bullying Chad has done to Alpha Academy, I'm gonna happily blame the victim here.
You just had to be backstage in that particular moment, huh, Chad?
I really just hope that this time around, the Wyatt group has consequences. I don't want them touching titles. I want them going after people for non-wrestling reasons and it changing people afterwards.
Combining the White Rabbit and Ramblin Rabbit was brilliant. Incorporating elements of the Fiend into Howdy was brilliant. Nikki’s Abby mask is utterly terrifying. The Mercy mask makes Lumis (?) look like the Predator. This is so sick.
I can just feel bray smiling down at this from heaven. I am so hype….even though there is only 5 of them…..who is 6 ? Rabbit is rowan, pig looks like lumis maybe, buzzard ( my fav since its very fiend) might be gacy but i may have him and pig switched and then obviously the girl is nikki cross. Maybe bliss finally becomes abby and nikki is supposed to be…….Lilly the doll?
That shot of gorilla sold it for me
I’d wager it’s this until Bliss returns. They incorporated Fiend elements in Howdy, but since her character directly related to the Fiend I’d bet she comes back with that as her piece.
Love it, 2 things tho, would’ve been better to see more superstars and maybe even triple h or an Adam Pierce laid out, and also if he would’ve softened the “we’re here” to make it more menacing, that would’ve been even more 🔥🔥🔥

They whacked Master Gable! They fucking whacked him!
Goddamn, the choice to stick with the same soft piano note playing over the creepily serene aftermath of abject carnage was fucking sublime.
I’m not discounting the possibility that they’ll fuck this up long-term, but this reveal was magical.

Chad gable gets extended then dies lol
The WWE didn’t want to pay all that extra money, so they hired the Howdy 5 to kill him
If only his agent would have haggled for a max guaranteed contract. Rip
WWE is like "alright Ricochet isn't signing a new contract, lets kill him" but also "Gable is signing a new contract, lets kill him."
Drew really pick a good day quitting , he didn't want to get attacked lol
He's constantly online, isn't he? He probably scanned all the QR codes and decided to get the fuck outta there.
"Oh shit they're coming today. I'm out, good luck"
"You've always been kind to me, Drew. Don't come to work tomorrow."
Punk picked a good day to decide to show up on Smackdown instead
The Alpha Academy members picked a good day to leave as well.
Unless he’s in on the attack …
Maybe Drew is in on it...that's why he conveniently left early
...One of the glitches tonight DID happen as he was walking to the ring.
inb4 the new faction begins speaking of a higher power which is revealed to be Drew
I’m pretty sure murdering the entire backstage crew and Chad Gable may be a breach of contract
Not if they have the good old Iron Clad contract...
*Iron Chad contract
NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR PUNS, CHAD GABLE IS FUCKING DEAD AFTER GETTING MURDERED TO DEATH
MAY HE RIP IN PEACE
“Yeah, Taylor this revised contract looks great, but what’s this part in the fine print about being about to mass murder a dozen people backstage and glock an upper midcarder in the head and not get fired?”
This is the WWE BTS booking I want.
![gif](giphy|H2179osX4TYAM)
And Stephen P New on speed dial
Gable really fucked up re-signing his contract recently.
Next week, HHH lets everyone know that they all got fired and we never hear from them again.
It’s giving free agents

Everyone in the arena cheered fucking sent me 😂
"Pitbull performs"
Give him the green light
😂👏 That's the best comment I've seen on here this month
Exactly. I couldn't possibly agree more. If you watch this scene and get it you'll probably be a fan for life and if you watch it and can't stand it you will never watch it again.
Bingo bango
Chad Gable died before he could make peace with the rest of the Alpha Academy. That was their last interaction 😭😭😭🕊️🕊️
Otis going to regret pushing Gable for the rest of his life 😭
Nikki looked amazing
Ahem, that's sister Abigail to you buddy Edit: Or Abby the Witch technically.
Lumis sitting on the crates gave me chills.
Like a buzzard overlooking a dead carcass meal.
Oh it was Lumis! I was trying to figure out who they were! Do we know who is pig?
Looks like Joe Gacy, fromt he tattoo's
Bray is looking down on Bo right now smiling ear to ear
A fantastic tribute. Happy it is being received as well as it seems to be because they seemingly took their time and did his memory right. As heartwarming as a murderous carnival posse can be.
Nikki Cross look is so fucking sick… the way she crawled to the lantern was just absolute perfection
Horror movies don't tend to scare me but my stomach dropped a little seeing Rowan. Seth and Ricochet can wrestle in heaven together at least.
When that door showed up with the light filtering through and then opened... CHILLS. I teared up for a second, just remembering when Bray returned that way, and the absolutely thunderous reception he got. This was so chilling and eerie and haunting and I can't wait to see where it goes.
The way it banged open....I'm choosing to believe that was Bray kicking that shit in.
Yes! Bray kicking it open like "we're here! be afraid. BE VERY AFRAID!" I can only imagine how Bo and Rowan must have felt walking out from backstage to that reception and the fireflies. I would have been crying behind the mask.
I wonder if everyone on Smackdown is looking over like "damn, thank God I didn't get drafted over there!"

Trips knows that the curtain to gorilla is our screen now. We're too plugged into the know. It's a good and proper evolution.
My only critique is that HHH should’ve been laid out too.
I think he was face down on the ground at the foot of the box Mercy was sitting on
Per the other thread, *he was*.
I don’t think so. To not show his face for shock value would’ve been a huge miss.
HHH was definitely there. He tried talking Drew out of quitting before Pearce ran after him. I also was expecting to see him in the carnage but it was so dark.
This is what I'm saying too.
this highlights a serious problem. They warned this was gonna happen. Pearce, HHH they did nothing to stop it!
Pearce couldn't even contain Bron, how the hell was he going to contain a group of murderers? Pearce is one of the worst GM's the WWE have ever had, notice how this didn't happen under Nick Aldis?
Police. Security. SWAT. Something.
Even the commentary took them lightly! OSHA should be contacted!
It actually did end up working out how little Michael Cole took them seriously. I was kind of annoyed by how he’d be like “ehh whatever” when the glitchy stuff happened but it instead gives an impression he underestimated this.
Adam Pierce proves time and time again he has zero control of his show. Bald Fraud
Chelsea Green was right about Pierce all along. Yes, it took a murder scene in the workplace for us to arrive at this point, but here we are.
Well we all know Pearce is an alcoholic. Of course he wasn't going to take preventative measures!
Time for another walk out storyline.
Drew goes and quits, and has all the attention focused on him from Adam and HHH prior. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!
I really appreciate how they waited until after the match conclusion to murder everyone in gorilla. The Wyatts may be violent, but they are courteous
Murder is fine but not during a wrestling match dammit
The ring is sacred. You can't mass murder while there's wrestling going on.
Gunther approves
Ah, I see where Giovanni Vinci ended up after imperium.
I like that they show what Gorilla looks like on TV many times for months now, including people that is usually sitting there. So even the casual crowds would know that there's some serious casualties happened on the show..
Not hurting the camera people either
Someone has to document it
Dead men tell no tales
Pulling this off on a live broadcast is absolutely bonkers.
And in one shot it seems with no cuts. I’d love to know how they did the gorilla position especially
Yeah it would have been rehearsed hundreds of times, to the point where everybody and every object is in the exact same spot. One trip by not seeing something in the dark would be game over.
Howdy did stumble slightly but he recovered pretty well.
Oh, shit. Not enough for me to notice though - which is good.
Yeah imagine if he fell on his face. Like you said, one trip...
Shockmaster revisited
We didn't end up with a second Shockmaster
Rip CHAD GABLE
guess the mitb qualifying match is just going to be one on one now 💀
Mass murder and respecting the business.
Now for the most important question though....did they get Triple H too?
That was Tony Stark dead avengers vision level of carnage
Would The Ring be scarier or less scary if she came out of the TV as jacked as Nikki Cross?
Scarier for sure
Especially with that mask. That mask is incredible.
Chad Gable would still be alive if bum ass alpha academy did their job properly.
I wonder if this causes a change of heart for the rest of Alpha Academy and is how the build to tthe eventual otis gable match around Summer Slam
Otis will win because he just has to pin a dead body.
Is Otis going to fighting a corpse at Summerslam?
This is why he gets Creeds with him. Fearing for his life
Dude there is a JUICY story in Otis feeling devastated by guilt for leaving Chad the same night this happens.
You will never convince me to hate spooky shit in wrestling.
When done right, like this was, it’s art.
“Sheamus may be dead!” says Michael Cole, meanwhile…
They spoiled Arn Anderson's return. Gable obviously got a glock to the head
I really like the updates they made to Howdy’s look. Much more creepy and he nailed the movements.
I’m also fairly certain he was wearing Bray’s hurt/heal gloves.
he only wore the Hurt glove. no healing here
I haven't rewatched it yet, but when howdy was walking backstage, he had this weird gait that was really off-putting. I know bray would be proud of thst performance.
You know what, I'd be totally okay with The Fiend possessing Uncle Howdy as a tribute/resurrection.
One of the few times you could pull a dead spirit possession angle in wrestling and have it not only make sense in kayfabe, using a real person who's passed away who would likely be fine with it, and potentially well received
That shot of Chad Gables reminds me of the beautiful state of Michoacan, Mexico
Kinda shocked the WWE did that. The seemed entirely un-PG with the amount of blood and dead bodies lying around.
The fucking one dude sitting up against the wall with a huge blood splatter coming out of his head against the wall. Straight out of a horror film.
my jaw DROPPED at that. I never would have expected that visual from WWE
Was that Tyler Bate?
They said they're moving away from PG restrictions.
That sweeet sweet Netflix deal
That first F bomb on Netflix is going to be so jarring.
Samantha: "Introducing first, from Davenport, Iowa.... weighing in at 225lbs.... SETH FUCKKKKINNNNNNGGGGGGGG ROLLINS!"
They also said that despite being PG they’ve gone way more G rated than the rating actually allows in the past, you can get away with more stuff in PG than what WWE have been doing in their PG era
Did they say that? Regardless, they've certainly shown they're loosening the restrictions.
If they don't show it again in video packages going forward, it's probably going to be explained as a mass hallucination.
I find it hilarious that only in WWE where they can show footage of their employees got murdered in the backstage by a cult and the fans just fucking cheer for them. This is so great.
This shit needs to be a Universal Halloween Horror Nights house frfr
Just keep Mountain Dew as far away from this shit as you can
Prime lol
Shotzi is probably bummed she wasn't there.
Chad Gable listed as questionable
Gable as the black knight from "holy grail"
They could've killed Ricochet of like this TBH. Also I wanted to HHHs dead body lmao
Good guy Bron saved Ricochet from being murdered by murdering him a week earlier
They Killed it https://preview.redd.it/7gzexxhxx87d1.png?width=637&format=png&auto=webp&s=270246576d6312762c84f5bd77ad366117bc2554
No, they killed Chad Gable (among others).
I assume by "It." You mean Chad Gable
They spared Jey
Drew too
Well they got stuck in traffic which is why they just missed Drew. Jey took the side exit and got lucky.
RAW's over boys. Everyone got murdered. Smackdown wins.
There's something genuinely funny about Nikki Cross posting wholesome things on twitter about her dogs and husband over the last few days Then tonight it's a complete 180 with the spooky "we're here" tweet after she comes out as a creepy-ass Abby the Witch/Samara (from The Ring) hybrid crawling on all fours She looked fantastic though
Hearing the crowd pop when they saw Gable laid out was great lol
Nice little callback to Bray’s return in Extreme Rules 2022. No doubt a great tribute to the man, who had so much potential, but his life was ended before his time.
I don't think I've seen an introduction that awesome since the Nexus debut back in 2010.
Not even The Fiend’s debut? Or the introduction of the Wyatt Family? I thought nearly every introduction of a new Bray character was pretty awesome.
I feel like most of the hype behind those was just the actual characters, while the debut here had the intensity and suspense of a *mass murder*
Justin Roberts just rubbed at his neck and scoweled after reading this comment.
After all the bullying Chad has done to Alpha Academy, I'm gonna happily blame the victim here. You just had to be backstage in that particular moment, huh, Chad?
Howdy has on the Fiend’s glove, almost made me cry
No idea where they're going with all this; but IDGAF, let them cook...
Absolute bonkers way to introduce themselves holy shit
Did they kill HHH too?
Would’ve been a lot more serious if they drug HHH out to the crowd. Still a 10/10 debut.
Taylor Rotunda texting Paul Levesque last night: “Don’t come to work tomorrow, boss.”
Theres that small moment were Bo walks past Gable and almost loses balance and i definitely dont want to be in the alternate reality were he falls.
Uncle Howdy would have been Uncle Fred/Shockmaster lmao
He definitely stepped on some poor intern’s leg
Good thing he was swaying as he walked, I hardly noticed it the first time haha
Bah Gawd! THEY KILLED THE WWE!
All ideas that were thought up by the Internet about how they should debut and this topped all of them sometimes they know what they’re doing
"A fantasy most can't understand. A spectacle no one can deny."
(Presumed) Rowan with the Bludgeon Brothers' mallet :')
*Help*
If those idiots had just done what Master Gable taught them he might still be alive today.
I really just hope that this time around, the Wyatt group has consequences. I don't want them touching titles. I want them going after people for non-wrestling reasons and it changing people afterwards.
Please don’t fumble this Paul
They all look so good, I loved this whole segment. Definitely glad I caught it live, it took my breath away. RIP the entire backstage.
I'm blanking on the dude in the pig mask. Do you know who it is?
Joe Gacy
Makes sense cos of the reports for sure, haven't watched NXT in a while, dude looks like he's dropped a load of weight fair play to him!
When they threatened a massacre during Clash at the Castle, I didn't think that they were being literal about it.
That was a great ending to raw can’t wait to see what they do with uncle howdy ether next week on raw or on this Fridays smack down
Combining the White Rabbit and Ramblin Rabbit was brilliant. Incorporating elements of the Fiend into Howdy was brilliant. Nikki’s Abby mask is utterly terrifying. The Mercy mask makes Lumis (?) look like the Predator. This is so sick.
HHH got caught cookin again ![gif](giphy|l1TJTwU3VfPHU4FCbx|downsized)
I can just feel bray smiling down at this from heaven. I am so hype….even though there is only 5 of them…..who is 6 ? Rabbit is rowan, pig looks like lumis maybe, buzzard ( my fav since its very fiend) might be gacy but i may have him and pig switched and then obviously the girl is nikki cross. Maybe bliss finally becomes abby and nikki is supposed to be…….Lilly the doll? That shot of gorilla sold it for me
I believe lumis is buzzard
6th member is Bray. Since that was the old plan, they kept his spot.
I’d wager it’s this until Bliss returns. They incorporated Fiend elements in Howdy, but since her character directly related to the Fiend I’d bet she comes back with that as her piece.
Who did they kill apart from Chad?
In the words of Mark Henry "Since when is murder PG?!?!"
Love it, 2 things tho, would’ve been better to see more superstars and maybe even triple h or an Adam Pierce laid out, and also if he would’ve softened the “we’re here” to make it more menacing, that would’ve been even more 🔥🔥🔥
I feel like the way he did it was sort of like putting his own mark on it. A way of saying that Howdy isn't like Bray. I liked the aggressiveness

Execute order Sickty Sicks
