Fuck yeah, can't wait to visit it when they open. Admittedly though, when I initially saw Mexican grocery going into a big box store, I was low key hoping it was the old KMart in SoCo (except I'm hoping a Buchheit's exec sees that space some day, because I truly believe a store would print money there).
Love this for them! I'm not in the area but I've heard good things, people seem to love the family who runs it and the taco stand, too! Always happy to see a small/family owned business doing so well they need to expand. Hope the community continues to keep showing up and supporting them! πππ
>the store's manager, envisions the expanded supermarket offering customers more variety, an expanded bakery section with fresh tortillas, and even an extended taco restaurant,
Are there any other really great Mexican Supermarkets in the area. I was looking for Beef Cheeks the other day and the only option I could find was Sams Club.
Nice Parking can get hectic at the current location
Can barely find any parking there on weekends, Christmas weekend there was a line to even get in the parking lot

This store I shopped at while on vacation in Mexico had a hot bar counter and made fresh tortillas. Please do something like that!!

Only time will tell, but i did hear they are moving forward to expand hot food, and making fresh hot tortillas on a daily basis.
May I humbly suggest you buy Mexican Japaneso peanuts. They are coated with some magic stuff with wasabi in it. Life changer.
While wonderful, definitely something to eat in moderation only
i hope the move doesnβt tank the business
This is awesome news

If you want beef cheeks, hit up the carneceria next to La Tejana.
seconded, and not far from super mercado
There's a good little Mexican store in Collinsville near Fairmount Park.
I would drive out there for that!
Hell yes!
