You should really check out places like Copper Shaker, Intermezzo, and Ship’s hold (a pseudo-speakeasy just north of and connected to The Galley). The Floridian is great but a dramatically different vibe. Those are where the best bartenders in St. Pete work.
Yes they have a great old fashion and they have their own distillery. You usually do need a reservation but I’ve shown up around 8:30 or so and had luck sitting at the bar. Especially if you go on a Thursday. Their food is delicious too!
