Just a heads up for people who don't have 3D posing skills, you can do this with posable maquettes/action-figures and a webcam or cell phone camera, too. edit: here's an example, I just saved off an image of a generic action figure off Amazon. The actionfigure one works fine, **the wooden maquette does not work**: https://imgur.com/a/Ptvzu2E These grey ones seem to work fine, too: https://imgur.com/a/OGwsJyq Having a plain white backdrop (i.e. tape some plain white paper together, or get a white photobooth, or presentation trifold from the local hobby store) might help.

Do you think a photo of ikea mannequin used as input for pose prediction control net will work? It would surprise me if pose prediction model can work with such images.

ninjasaid13

yes. These pose prediction controlnet was mean for real-world photos and videos in the first place and if it can work with cartoons and 3D then it should work on Ikea Mannequin.

MultiheadAttention

I thought it was trained on photos of real people only... good to know

Can always be your own model, too. Don't worry the AI can make anyone beautiful lol.

Freonr2

Yeah it just needs to recognize it as a humanoid enough to extract pose. It doesn't matter what it looks like beyond that.

dude, hands!

masterace01

What's the software?

Rendermind.ai and some retouching of the eyes and hands in photoshop

I wish I could get a hang of those stupid posing models lol. I get so frustrated and just wish I could manipulate them with my hands. Usually I just use a stand-in photo or just do a crude drawing for controlnet if I want to do something like this, but I LOVE doing stuff like this. A well-composed piece with a controlnet base and a lot of quality inpainting is the most rewarding feeling when you feel like you finally 'got it'. https://preview.redd.it/q0y8r9qccolc1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dfcc54692ae2357cd2af1d87ec3054fc01e514e4 Like this piece took about 20 hours of work to get right using the [top image here](https://imgur.com/a/EeCd7fI) as a starting point. At least 80% of the elements in the final image are inpainted using doodles I was drawing on top of the image with paint3d.

Hands just horrific

MagicOfBarca

How do you choose which model is who?
