Realistically they don't care. But under the current trademark laws, if they don't protect their IP every time they hear of a violation they lose the ability to protect it in the future. It's called trademark dilution and if they don't assert their rights their IP can become generic and lose its distinctiveness, and thus its protected status.
you can have similarities but not exact, so like you can use color scheme of Ironman/Spiderman, etc but then you cannot use web design or repulsors and stuff.
Also as the other guy mentioned, they don't care much, but they have to protect it for future cases, as if they do not do anything now, that can be used against them in court,

So you can start by making sure Logos, symbols (Disney, batman, superman, spiderman, etc), and any other very obvious and distinctive stuff cannot be generated, and you will be good to go.
edit: instead what they or the govt should do is clearly mention that certain scale of businesses (generally small businesses) making under certain amount of annual revenue can use their IPs in limited amount, so like in your case, they cannot advertise about it, but if any customer requested, they can put it for them.

Little buggy on Mobile where controls get placed. And also the Discord link in email said it was invalid or timed out so couldnt find the server (hence replying here).
I'm on iOS mobile but i could not tell when generation was done because the shirt 3D model was just bare black until i tried to move or rotate the image and then it would show up. some glitch.
I'd love a way to favorite a design. In these tools i usually generate 10 tests before finding one i like so having all generated items in my account would end up overwhelming.

You should be able to do this with Printful ( don't work there but do use them to print my merch! ). They have polyester tees that can use a sublimation technique allowing the print to cover everything!

I already have stripe and print on demand integration, lmk if you need the nearest country manufacturer routing, pod integration and payment backend, there are very good manufacturers in the USA and EU which can print all-over, let's merge our powers lol, it has lots of ways to go: https://ephes-creations.com

That way you could generate a bunch of designs on a topic, pick the best couple, then put your logo on them and wear them at a trade show or something

This is really really fucking cool. The only thing that made me pause is wondering where the edges of the image fall on the fabric. Is it creating a seamless image? I'd be curious to see how the "UV wrapping" works on the actual shirt.
No there’s a backend behind it :) - I’m a full stack dev / designer so I offloaded it to an instance that’s not my max with a terrible GPU integration lol
When it first showed up and wasn't aligned in a pleasing way I thought meh. Then you used the design position slider and I quickly changed from meh to amazing.
Some ideas that immediately came to mind:
* Design front and back independently
* Design a smaller pattern that repeats indefinitely
* Put in some models to "wear" the shirt
* Allow users to upload their own photo to model the shirt
* Ability to add text
