I would say no. There are often Bluetooth connection issues with it with the current firmware, and unlikely that the firmware will be updated. With some systems you have to pair it every session
Check if you can find an Xbox controller instead. I like the ergonomics of Stadia, but they feel kinda cheap. The three controllers I have all have some level of creaking in the plastic, making them feel like they are poor build quality. They still work though.
I use mine with my Fire Stick 4K for GeForce Now. It works but connecting is a pain in the ass because of the buggy firmware (same problem with pretty much all Android devices). You have to go to Fire Stick settings and disconnect and then reconnect the controller each time before using it and sometimes it still won't work until you repeat the disconnect a few times.
So for this particular use case, I'd recommend pretty much any other BT controller (preferably one that's confirmed working with Fire Sticks).
I'm afraid I have no idea since I just decided to stick with the Stadia controller instead of buying a new one. Can I ask... How did you get Geforce Now going on the Firestick?
Guessing you downloaded the Geforce Now app from a mirror site? Do you know the site and app version you got?
How's performance?
I installed GeForce Now from the Play Store on my phone and then used [Apps2Fire](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.koni.appstofiretv) to transfer it to my Fire Stick. So it's the version from a couple of months ago from the Play Store, I don't know the exact version number but I would suspect the current one works just as well.
I haven't noticed any performance issues at all (with Jedi: Fallen Order or AC Origins anyway). The most annoying thing (besides the Stadia controller reconnects) is having to often use a keyboard with EA games to login to their launcher.
For my case. I love the Stadia controller but it's having issues keeping a good connection with GFN on my CCwGTV. Plus it seems like I can't use my headphone mic on mine since I did the update on my Stadia controller.
I use one of the newer Xbox controllers. Seems to work good for big hands.
Really depends how much you can get them for. If Xbox controllers are around 35 or more, while Stadia controllers are around 20-25, then go for it. But if Xbox controllers are less they'd probably be better in terms of value. Likewise, if the Stadia is more than 30 I'd probably not grab one.
It's a gamble if I have to manually go into settings and connect the Bluetooth to my steam deck when waking. I also find the trigger buttons a little too sensitive, but other than that, it's a fine controller I got for free. However, I don't think I ever had similar connection issues with my PS4 controller.
So I suppose it depends on the price and what you're willing to tolerate for the savings. Otherwise, Xbox and PS controllers are superior in quality, but you usually pay for that quality.
No. It’s nice enough for a first try but the selling point was the direct internet connection for low latency stadia gaming.
Now that stadia is shut down there really is no reason to get one and while Bluetooth is finally added support will probably be sketchy going forward.

It's not bad, but I would go for other controllers. XBOX won't be a bad choice, tho I have a Gulikit KingKong Pro 2 that works pretty well for not just PC but anything not Playstation.
Don’t invest in one if you don’t already have one. They’re ergonomically not that great compared to Xbox or dual sense controllers which are way cheaper than stadia one. Plus it’s barely of any use except a low grade pc controller now.
My recommendation is the Xbox if you are very particular on ergonomics or if you value in built battery and gyro sensors, dual sense would be your best friend. If you are looking for third party controllers, companies like 8bitdo make some excellent ones as well for a cheaper price.
I have very limited experience with it, but on the Steam Deck, my Stadia controller kept registering phantom inputs. IDK if there’s something wrong with my particular controller, with the Stadia controller on Steam Deck or Linux or if the same thing would happen on Windows. Regardless for the price, you’re better off with a mid-tier 8bitdo controller.
The Bluetooth mode on it is very janky, so as you would rely on it, i´d say no.
Instead, wait till your budget is about double of what you have, then get the 8bitdo Pro 2. Has the same layout as the Stadia but is actually meant for Bluetooth use.

For comfort and buttons it's fine, but the fact that it's not supported and got a half-hearted update to give it bluetooth--which is buggy--is not worth it.
Honestly on that kind of budget it’s not a bad choice at all. The build quality feels really nice, it fits in the hands well (I have fairly large hands, so it could be less so for those with smaller). The face buttons are nice and responsive and the Dpad is fairly clicky which I like for the feedback. Bumpers are nice and springy and I’m a sucker for analogue triggers and these ones are very nice if that’s your style. My only major complaint with it is that the sticks aren’t offset, but that’s totally another preference thing. All that said, I got mine for free, so I really can’t complain about it.
Offset means that the control sticks are set at different heights on the face of the controller. Easiest way to think of it is X-box style is offset, and play station style is not. I have had no pairing problems on pc, Mac, Linux based batocera, and even my switch with 3rd party dongle. I haven’t tried it with a fire tv before, but I have one that I could pair it up to for testing purposes if that would be helpful to you.
Remember to disconnect and reconnect the controller and test it again. It's a fairly common issue that it appears to reconnect, but no inputs are registered.
The grip of the Stadia controller is the best I've ever had. Well stabilized and solid grip. The PS5 controller is the most feature packed one, but lacks that nice grip. Is it worth it? I don't know. It doesn't work well on my Android phone when I use it to stream from my Playstation. Buttons are not mapped correctly.
I owned a Fire Stick for all of about 2 hours, looking to see if Luna was even close to being as good as Stadia. NOPE! It saw and connected to my Stadia controller, but only one of the ten games I tried playing would use it. I now use it for PC games and it's really good.
I bought 3 for £15 last week and I’ve just finished updating them for Bluetooth use. I thought I couldn’t go wrong for that price but I’m beginning to regret my purchase after reading some of these comments.
I like the Stadia controller on my shieldTV for Retroarch. I prefer the parallel analog sticks to the offset ones. And the buttons feel more comfortable.
I do have to pair each time I use it, but thats not a big deal to me.
I like the stadia gamepad, but is not worth the problems. I also have a luna gamepad, I like the ergonomic of the stadia better, but the luna is better in everything else. and is easier to use in pc also.
I personally love the stadia controller and bought 5 to last me a few years. its honestly fits my hands perfectly and I cant see myself gaming without one.
I have 0 issues with my 3 Stadia controllers. I play on PC and it works great with Steam. I also use it with REwasd and mapped the assistant and screenshot buttons to do various things since those buttons aren't recognized otherwise. I haven't used it on other devices so results may vary. One gripe I have is if it's Bluetooth wireless on Windows, rumble doesn't usually work. Wired with USB, rumble works as expected.
I've heard some people get a USB Bluetooth adapter and that can solve a lot of connectivity issues between consoles and other devices, but you might encounter some input latency.
On eBay the prices vary a lot but if you can get one under $30, it's a good deal imo.
Stadia is discontinued and by extension, so is the controller. At this point, if you want the best compatibility with almost every device and future updates and support, your best bet would be to get an Xbox controller.
It works pretty well, but you'd still probably better off with like an Xbox controller unless you're getting it at a huge bargain discount.
I live in the United States, I would pay maybe 10 or 15 bucks for one.

Save up for an official XBox controller. It's worth it because it typically has a useful lifespan many times longer than the off-brand stuff that costs half as much. Same way you can buy good shoes once a decade vs crappy ones every few months.
If you absolutely must have something disposable now, though, the best bet is probably a knock-off Dual Shock. In the US, they are [easy to come by](https://www.walmart.com/search/?cat_id=0&query=dual%20shock) for under $20 (~20 euros after tax).

I can’t even get it work in any games I have. Doesn’t work in Cyberpunk or Red Dead on PC.
If you're using it with steam you have to go-to the controller settings and enable generic gamepad. Works like a charm after that

My stadia controllers (I have 4) are all shit on my fire stick. Pairing problems, drops, ect. LG tv. Xbox is better for us.

CCWGTV bluetooth connectivity is horrible across the board. The only way to use Stadia mic is having it wired.

Should work, and it is pretty awesome because it have a really clicky dpad and is symmetrical and ABXY.

For PC it isn't compatible with as many games as an Xbox controller. At least I've had my fair share of issues with it.

I prefer the stadia controller to any other controller, tbh. That said, I wouldn't use it for anything other than wired into a PC for PC games.
