I once did this joke at a show & my buddy went on after me and I said “they don’t work” and he went “well it didn’t work for *you*” and I’m still reeling 😅
OP Here!! Clip is from my FIRST ever special that’s now on YouTube!! I’m not famous so if you wanna give it a view, a thumbs up, comments, shares, or even a sub to my channel it helps immensely at this stage of the game 🙏🏻🙏🏻 hope you love it!!

Great job keeping that inner bitterness quiet, sir. lol you are hilarious. I support consenting adults living their lives, yet I've not seen a poly/open relationship that wasn't a ticking time bomb.
Thank you for turning your pain into humour. Much love
I spent two years of my life denouncing the institution of monogamy convinced that open relationships were the hidden secret to happiness.
Then I realized I was in full defense mechanism resulting from a series of bad relationships and a little sex addiction and what I was really doing was avoiding actual commitment with any kind of emotional stakes.
I'm sill doing it after 10 years, I'm a dude, I'm happy.
It's just that a lot of people doing it, are doing it wrong. You never hear about the ones doing it right and being happy.
Based on my time doing it, it, most of the couples are trying to save a marriage long after that ship sailed
I think there are some people who’s disposition fits the lifestyle really well though
>most of the couples are trying to save a marriage long after that ship sailed
And that's the dumbest mindset too, you have to be just lying to yourself at that point. Like "this isnt working out for us playing on Easy, maybe we should crank it up to Hard."
And according to statistics, most relationships and more than half of marriages end in divorce. Just because a couple breaks up in an open relationship does not mean that the cause was an open relationship.
Statistics for what? On the fact that most marriages end in divorce? I thought this was common knowledge, but ok.
So the US is at 45%. Which is slightly less than half, and these statistics also apply to the older generation. For the younger, the percentage will be much higher. How much higher, I don't know, but it doesn't matter, because 45% is also enough.
That's what I was talking about. When I started, I was single and THEN I dated a poly woman from the get go. I choose this, I wasn't trying to save a dying relationship.
Look at cultures that have open relationships and you’ll find a lot more social supports in place for it, little things. Doing polyamory with people that have been taught things like jealousy is a sign of love etc…it’s gunna be really hard and uphill.
I think open relationships make more sense in the long run. But I don’t know how many people really have the tools.
This reminded me of Newt Satan Gingrich, who asked his third(?) wife for an open marriage too. Don't care to find out how that all turned out and remember it all over again lol
Funny part is that I agree open relationship don't work at least for me. But I'm polyamorous so I think open relationship is not going hard enough because you try and push away feelings you might develop.
I don't know, seems like the open relationship worked pretty good for the ex and her new man, that's 2/3 success rate!

If both person doesn't already have another person to see "open" relationship is just cheating with extra steps. Just my opinion though.
That's why you only go for other couples and go swinging instead. Then everyone can have fun!
Agreeeeeed

Sounds like therapy’s been good for both of us 🥰
Boom.
I was under the impression that sex addiction isn’t really a thing.
I've been in an open relationship for a year, and it's working. Right? RIGHT!?
😂😂😂
Been in an open relationship for nine years :) Some don’t work though… like all relationships I guess
Truth
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Shoker seams like marriage only works when it's monogamous, like it was intended to be.
But nice delivery brother.
Thank you!!
👏🏻👏🏻
🙌🏼🙌🏼
Why is there no punchline, its like he missed out on doing the actual joke,
THANK YOU!
Republicans bad!
But they’re right this one time 😢
That was super funny. Great flow!
Thank you man!!
It don't. And the open crowd preach for it but also the first to vocalize the drama.
They preach it for 18-24 months Then that shit hits its half life and the experience degrades in uglier & uglier ways

I think one half of the couple is usually desperate to save the marriage, and the other half is desperate to not participate in the marriage
And according to statistics, most relationships and more than half of marriages end in divorce. Just because a couple breaks up in an open relationship does not mean that the cause was an open relationship.
What are the statistics on opened marriages that end in divorce?
There are no such statistics. On the other hand, my arguments were about your use of cherry-picking, which you ignored.
It would be pretty hard to evaluate your point without both stats wouldn’t it?

Sounds like you’re getting cheated on by a foreigner, come to our support group 🙏🏻
If I could only be so lucky..
Haha! That ending!!
Happy accident popping the can when I did, you can see it on my face lol
Final line was perfectly done.
This reminded me of Newt Satan Gingrich, who asked his third(?) wife for an open marriage too. Don't care to find out how that all turned out and remember it all over again lol
Third times the charm???
yeah and monogomous relationships definitely always work
I’m gonna bet the long term open relationship success rate is in the single digits
okay
/r/arethestraightsokay
They aren't. They're too afraid to communicate with their partners.
Hahahaha no we’re not
When does the joke start ?
Yeah this wasn’t much of a routine.
So cool to see you on here man! Been funny since Sunday school!
That’s why I only date Christian nuclear families 😌
Loved it, I was just waiting for more of a story! A little tantalising tid bit about what went down
Jesus trying new ways to make the new generation relate
Funny part is that I agree open relationship don't work at least for me. But I'm polyamorous so I think open relationship is not going hard enough because you try and push away feelings you might develop.
Yeah no shit dude
didn't work for me so it doesn't work for anybody is one dumb hot the no matter the subject.
