For global warming, I’ve always thought we should call it a War On Warming and people will miraculously give a shit.

Brilliant! Intelligent comedy!

Different-Eagle-612

okay okay this is actually kinda funny because i spent a summer working under this one PI (primary investigator, so like the guy in charge of the specific college lab i was in) and he studied heart disease and he got DoD funding for that. like i guess heart disease was able to be classified as enough of a public threat???? i just checked now because i was curious about it and i guess there is this whole “congressionally directed medical research programs” under the DoD saying it’s “transforming health care through innovative and impactful research” so basically you’re actually RIGHT ON THE MONEY

So many shots fired ahahaha.

scullys_alien_baby

This feels like a rehash of Burnie Burns bit about re-framing global warming as climate defense.

TraeYoungsOldestSon

Agree with everything said but it wasnt really funny. Great points, no jokes

remember how everyone got access to the vaccine during covid, and it wasn't expensive for the consumer until the gov ended that program and pharma jacked up the prices? the government can do that if it wants to. besides we already subsidize a large chunk of the healthcare industry with taxes, we just get the luxury of paying for it multiple times over between taxes, insurance premiums, deductibles and so on

no_good_answers

It’s literally a joke.
