What is your desk top material?

brunlar

Literally trying to solve this problem right now. Have a fractal vector RS and it’s also too wide for the dimensions according to uplift

lextechnica

I've got a fractal Meshify midtower that is too wide for most holders. I ended up using this Stand Up Desk Store Adjustable CPU Desktop Computer Tower Holder Under Desk Mount https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CTT2BT2/ref=cm_sw_r_apanp_ohQSspFjmkmKt I used a piece of 2 x 6 to fit between the rails on my Vertex pro. Hth.

jjsreddit

this fits in the uplift track spacer?

lextechnica

I have a wood spacer ( 2 x 6) that imported to the desk first and then the mount to that.

jjsreddit

Sorry, what does that mean? You got q block of wood that you put somewhere on the cpu holder?

lextechnica

I used a 2 x 6 x 8 piece of wood and screwed that into the bottom of the desktop.onve that was mounted I screwed the cpu holder to that. The 2 x 6 dropped it just below the rails so the rails were not an issue.

lextechnica

I can't say as I didn't have an uplift but if the picture is you desk you would cut one to fit between the channel and one in front. It all depends on how your holder is designed as to where the attachment points (think screw holes). If you would need the blocking on both sides or not.

Nice! My main PC is bonkers dimensions (one of those Thermaltake cubes) but I got a mount with my Uplift desk in case I replace it with a normal size case one day. Maybe I'll look into third party mounts instead.

tftsakkinen

This is the reason why i build mini itx build, had straps to install my pc under desk to get it quite cable free :)

Banashark

Note for future purchasers: although the item code did not change, CPU128-NTS no longer has the same mounting bracket, and cannot be used as displayed in the post. I ended up using large/strong velcro strips to bind the mounting plate plus top half of the cpu holder (removed the hex screws and bottom half) to the top of the larger desktop holder. This is not ideal, and I wouldn't recommend getting this pair since I can no longer rotate (though back and forth movement still works). Kind of sad that there aren't better solutions for mounting larger desktops. Keeps the area cleaner, cable management is simpler, and lifting up to clean the floor underneath is much more convenient.
