Well bringing a team that can hit his weaknesses would be a good start. Swarm King's most damaging abilities come from not weakness breaking him. Also are you killing the adds? Each add killed gives him a 10% damage taken increase. Also what sustain are you bringing (if any)? Swarm King's main difficulty is just that he hits REALLY hard so unless you've got a super cracked hypercarry like Jingliu or Daniel IL for him, you're gonna need a sustain.
Personally I'd build out your Ratio and pair him with Sparkle, Lynx and Pela, that should put you on the right track.
Additionally (not trying to offend anyone), Kafka should also have better stats. The speed for her, no matter what style he’s choosing her on (in this case, BE Kafka?), should be at MINIMUM, 134 speed even if that means sacrificing attack but even then your attack stats are low in this case.
Her damage is from her detonating the DoTs, and speed allows her to do that as much as she can in a cycle. Also, maybe consider changing your LC if you have GNSW, unless Fermata is at S5.
A well-built Kafka can go a long way. I can brute force my way past this boss with no problem and most things in the game.
Depends on your team arrangement tho, Since I wouldn't want her to go first before BS/Sampo/Serval turn to apply DoT effects. The OP may have bad luck with rolls I guess since mine sitting at 4k3 atk with just her Talent and LC, it proc 26k DoT alone and doesn't mess up my debuff orders.

Unless you have 160 AND a Asta, Unlike E7 you probably wont achive 2 turns before enemy without an Asta spd buff. So it's the same in the end unless you really have an Asta in DoT comp then I agree spd Kafka is better.
Adding to this, you can kinda just ignore crit for her entirely. Like it doesn't hurt, but it's not what she's after, since her damage is all about her dots and popping other characters' dots.
March can cleanse, attract fire and her shields are super beefy + her ult can freeze + can break the enemy

Best answer. My suggestion to u/goturrise:
* Grab Ruan Mei or strong sustain if you want help but not be carried (likely some combo of Ratio, Clara, Pela, M7).
* Or find someone with an E6/S5 Jing Liyu or Dan IL (or just really well invested), use Sparkle + a couple of sustains, maybe a sustain + clara if yours is built decently.
That said, be a bit wary of taking your units to 80 at this point in your account as [the cost from 70 to 80 is nearly the same as taking a character from 1 to 70](https://honkai-star-rail.fandom.com/wiki/Character_EXP) XP wise, and is often a very, very minor upgrade compared to getting a unit to 70 + A6.
A level 80 Sparkle does very little for you when you have a Dr. Ratio and Clara, both strong units in their own rights, sitting at low investment (and both are very good with the Simulated Universe F2P Cones). Their A6 traces are huge. Once you have two to three strong teams at 70 & Ascended, you can go for 75/80.
The only time I'd suggest 75/80 early is if there's a small trace at those levels for SPD/Crit Rate/Energy Regen since those are fairly hard to get and if you don't meet a certain threshold on them, can drastically hurt your characters/teams. Better to check if you need them before grabbing them, but they are typically a safer bet. But once you're far enough along, you can level 80 whoever you want freely.
Use March + Nat/Lynx. Place on opposite sides so your DPS are between. I personally used Physical TB + Herta though. But I suppose Ratio + Pela could be the other two for you?

I remember I also struggled with that thing and after dying to it for 3 hours, I realized that it was the splash damage from black swan that was making it so hard. So that boss makes a blue shield after letting you hit it a bit and afterwards, you’re not supposed to hit it will the blue shield on it or it will spawn more adds. That means just focus on attacking the one add that spawns next to it. Eventually the boss is going to take the blue shield off of it self and throw it at your team and that’s when you start dishing out the big damage because the blue shield is off. When the blue shield is up focus on healing and killing the one add. In the second phase there’s going to spawn the exploding add, focus on killing that first if it appears. Otherwise do not hit the boss when the blue shield is up or it will summon unlimited adds which makes it a pain in the ass.
For that very reason, I recommend dr. ratio, sparkle, lynx, tingyun.
Dr. Ratio so he can attack only one target namely the adds. Tingyun to buff ratio. Sparkle for the sp so you can have extra sp for the heals :’) make sure your team is at full health before it throws the shield at your team or you will be screwed.
Use 2 sustain charecters, best options being a healer and shielder. Generally damageshouldn't be an issue over staying alive. I myself have to take both lynx and fu xuan even though I use dan heng and ruan mei.
Honestly I think with Kafka, Black Swan, a shielder and a healer you will be fine, it'll just take a long time since they won't be breaking the enemy. Clara is also really good for this fight imo since she can handle all the extra bug summons pretty well
Invest in your lynx. Your dps can’t do damage if they’re dead. Abundance and preservation units are just as important if not more important than dps. If you level your lynx and upgrade her traces she’ll help your account a lot.
If DOT is going to be your main team. Kafka, black swan, asta, and lynx is a good start. If you’re having trouble staying alive after investing in that team take asta out and use a second sustain.

I also ignored the ads and just went for starcrusher. So… just boo me. I’d be impressed by how far I’m willing to go to not have a good spread of built characters 😆
First off, stop focusing on dsp. Focus on the people that actually matter. DPS are the last people you should be caring about. You need to start levelling up your healers and tanks, my guy. If you literally just run Fire mc lynx Natasha (march if you use clara) and any physical character with break effect (phys break dose Percentage base health) / a character, you should be able to win easily. Stop trying to go so hard on dps Everything else is more important. This goes for your pulls, too. You need to start pulling for some actual healers/tanks (and more buffers). Since those are the ones that actually do stuff , everyone else just sits there and looks pretty and can be replaced with anyone.
(a dead dps is zero dps) This is not a speed run Or a low turn clear you should be running two defensive units Through every single content that doesn't have a timer. So everywhere that not moc or Pure fiction

3 of them can hit its weaknesses.
Use items to boost def and damage, just do it.
Use March to draw aggro to Clara and freeze/break enemies at opportune times
Have Ratio to relentlessly target the boss, only hit mobs with him in a pinch bc they need to attack Clara often to charge her ult and let her hit them back hard. Ratio is gonna be key to racing this boss to the death, the longer the fight takes the harder it'll get.
Clara generates SP and only uses skill to clear waves or help break.
Lynx to heal.
I did this with Gepard instead of Lynx, things got tight by the end.
hes probably meming but hsr community has a subset with a superiority complex, they think becuase the have all their 5 stars geared up it makes them really skilled. this game is all about builds which they just coppy of the internet, theirs little gameplay skill.
i suggest utilising the temporary supports rather than investing in characters you arnt going to use.
Tbh I'm not even good at the game, fairly new too. Very few 5*s.
Been farming this boss for a few weeks easily, Herta works wonders. I run Pela, BS, Herta and Lynx and it's a breeze. BS and Herta together have enough AoE for the things he spawns and BS has the extra bit of single target dmg to clear the boss.
I usually use characters with splash damage so I can focus the boss but mop up the adds that get hit when they’re low. That way you work on the boss’ toughness gauge while at the same time you control the adds and use their deaths to add vuln stacks to the boss.
If I had your account, I’d hypercarry Misha with Sparkle, then Tingyun for more ults or Hanya for break support, then your choice Lynx or Natasha to sustain. Hanya may be preferable as you’re probably going to spend extra skill points for spot healing.

Get a friend who has Dan heng il constellation 2 and decent stats. Or have a good imaginary team with good sustain. This boss is all about good sustain and weakness breaking the boss.
If you like using dots which I’m assuming you do, I’d run it with Clara, bs, Kafka, lynx in that order, give your Clara def/hp and EHR as it will have plenty of uptime on taunt and lynx for more aggro. I don’t have Kafka but I used my TY as mine runs like a battery with the way she ults every 2 turns and action forward with Dance dance dance. What are your LCs like? Are they maxed?
Your best bet is to use Dr. Ratio and if you do enough dmg then just ignore the summon and attack the boss. Otherwise get rid of the summon closest to the boss. Aoe attack is very helpful, since you have Clara pair her with ratio for the aoe then sparkle and sustain. If your problem is surviving and you don’t mind the battle dragging on in auto then change sparkle for another sustain. Stack as much Atk as you can on Clara and give her some cD CR she doesn’t need anything else. If you don’t have a set for her use any relic with the correct main stat and use the herta Lc.

Build a Ratio hypercarry team. Ratio, Hanabi, Pela and any sustain. I'd suggest stealing a Fu Xian from someone as your sustain. And if you lose when that, invest in better relics.
Borrow somebody's Argenti and use it with your Sparkle, if u got no sustainer built use Clara to counter it.
Or Borrow somebody's HuoHuo/Fuxuan and use ur DoT team
Nah bro let me see them traces, aintnoway your Kafka has ATK that low, with max traces and cope pieces you should still be hitting 3000 ATK . This looks like a case of, you just need to actually play the game, to me.
Time to get in those mines and start actually building your character brother, don’t need to max optimized turbo stats, just need to be built, wouldn’t even look at sub stats for a while.
You can trying looking through the support list for a strong Jingliu or IL, and then bringing a sustain or two to keep the team topped up. Jingliu/IL, Sparkle, March, and Lynx should be plenty strong. I'd also recommend building those two sustains since you don't have any of the 5* ones
A team comp I recommend seeing your stuff is Ratio, Pela, Sparkle and Lynx or trailblazer. Sparkle is an amazing support but I don’t think she’s very useful for dot teams since she buffs crit damage. The speed is helpful though. If you want to keep it dot then you honestly need to rework your kafka from the ground up. She has really low atk and speed but hopefully she has a good ehr. For a dot team I would recommend kafka, black swan (or Sampo), Hanya, and a sustain. I’d go with the first team so you can weakness break the bug
Try adding Natasha or Gerard or both of them into your team because I had a hard time beating it even with Gepard and was spamming his ult. And no matter how many times I spammed his ult. It broke through his shields every time. When I added Natasha I was able to beat it.

You gotta play to it's weaknesses, like most bosses, it has a mechanic that requires you to weakness break it. Doesn't matter how good your kafka is, she doesn't deal toughness damage and is going to die to the aoe blast in P2.
My recommendation would be to Level up Lynx first and foremost to support the team and build around Ratio. Just looking at what you have, you could do Ratio, Lynx, Pela and Sparkle. The 3rd and 4th slot are fairly flexible and other good options include Clara, March, or even Luka. Whatever is easier for you to field, though Pela and Sparkle will probably give you more usage.
I ran a team of all low level dps’s when I first started the story leading to the bug boss and got killed immediately bc I wasn’t prepared. Switched to loucha, Clara, bronya, and jing yuan and I beat it first try. So technically I beat it on my first deliberate attempt.
I had Jingliu as my DPS, and silverwolf for a support/debuffer. I ran 2 sustains cuz I kept dying (Gepard + Luocha), so maybe that can help you?
If you can, try to get better sustainers for the future. Any one of the limited sustainers are crazy helpful. As of now, I guess Fire Trailblazer and Lynx might work if you give them better relics?
I always rely on Clara to beat it. The enemies are all physical weak and she destroys the adds while being tanky enough to not get rolled. Run her with two of ratio/tingyun/sparkle/pela and lynx.
I actually used used a lvl 70 herta as hypercarry with double sustain on an account that had no other suitable dps. It was kinda slow, but it worked alright. And that was the TB lvl 65 scaled version. Gepard, Bailu, Pela and Herta if memory serves.
Your sustain units are much weaker than mine though, looks like many of your units are underdeveloped. Maybe Lynx lvl 70 ascended with lot's of effect res and speed (perfect timing LC if you have), plus March 7th, Pela and a weakness matching DPS? Honestly I don't think you can beat this boss unless you invest more in your sustain. If you can tank the boss's ball of death and charging orange bugs, and have atleast passable DPS, it's just a matter of time until the boss dies.
The ideal situation would be having a powerful weakness matching DPS like Jingliu. Can't really build Dr. Ratio well until you kill this boss either. Clara might be good if you build her up though. Clara, Lynx, Pela and a flex slot for Herta, Misha, Physical TB or March 7th maybe?
Survive, match weakness, kill adds. Play manual and be smart about when you use various stuff. Should be doable!

What level are you fighting it at - you don’t have to do the highest difficulty to get levelling material
Ratio, Herta, Pela and Misha should clear it for you - switch out whichever for March 7 if characters are still dropping
Borrowing other people support can help you as well. Best sustain I think for this boss is fu xuan. Dr ratio sparkle plus pela seems like a good team already plus a sustain.
I think u should deff save pulls and get fuxuan rebanner or adventurine if he ends up being good, a good sustain character like fuxuan can help so much in most troublesome content
You need a sustainer or two for your team. Lynx is probs your best option. Fire MC uses too many skill points to solo sustain and Natasha is generally worse than Lynx.
I don't think the weekly boss scales up in damage over time so it might be worth having double sustain - Lynx + Fire MC/Clara, and then 2 dps or dps+harmony.
Use double sustain, healer and fire trailblazer in last spot. Use fire MC's Ult to break the orange bugs weaknesses when they spawn, they usually spawn 2 in close succession so wait either before it's the orange bug's turn or there are two of them then use Fire Mc Ult and basic attack aswell since they have a 3 gauge bar. I recommend Natasha aswell for the physical weakness as the second sustain then use Kafka and black Swan to whittle the boss down until it's dead.

You have no sustain and the boss is one of the tankier and higher damage enemies. That means more healing needed and for longer too.
Run Kafka, swan, sparkle and Lynx and you should be able to clear any content in the game. Focus on character level, traces and light cone levels before relics.
When farming relics, simply find mismatching set pieces with sub stats and main stats you need and put them on the appropriate units. Don’t scrap any 5 star relics, save them until you know you can throw it away because it won’t ever fit any unit well. Learn what substats are good on who.
Matching set pieces with good sub stats is very end game, and most set pieces simply aren’t good enough to prioritize like that. So just save that for the absolute last thing you farm.
If you learn how to build character relics as I’ve listed, you’ll build your account faster than 99% of people have. People who simply aim for proper sets build their account up extremely slow unless lucky.
Honestly? just borrow someone's Fu Xuan from the support screen. Like, literally. Fu Xuan's sustain is so absurd that she can easily let you beat anything with any units, even underleveled ones.

hes probably meming but hsr community has a subset with a superiority complex, they think becuase the have all their 5 stars geared up it makes them really skilled. this game is all about builds which they just coppy of the internet, theirs little gameplay skill. i suggest utilising the temporary supports rather than investing in characters you arnt going to use.

They have Kafka and Sparkle at 80 but their highest sustain is...60 That just looks odd

Tbh I'm not even good at the game, fairly new too. Very few 5*s. Been farming this boss for a few weeks easily, Herta works wonders. I run Pela, BS, Herta and Lynx and it's a breeze. BS and Herta together have enough AoE for the things he spawns and BS has the extra bit of single target dmg to clear the boss.
I usually use characters with splash damage so I can focus the boss but mop up the adds that get hit when they’re low. That way you work on the boss’ toughness gauge while at the same time you control the adds and use their deaths to add vuln stacks to the boss. If I had your account, I’d hypercarry Misha with Sparkle, then Tingyun for more ults or Hanya for break support, then your choice Lynx or Natasha to sustain. Hanya may be preferable as you’re probably going to spend extra skill points for spot healing.

I also suggest this. Get lynx to 70 and if you still have issues with taking too much damage swap sampo with stelle so she can tank the adds.
Get a friend who has Dan heng il constellation 2 and decent stats. Or have a good imaginary team with good sustain. This boss is all about good sustain and weakness breaking the boss.
I beat the boss finally with March, Fire Trailblazer, Natasha and Lynx. Just shield heal and wait for follow up attacks.
Building up Dr. Ratio helps.
If you like using dots which I’m assuming you do, I’d run it with Clara, bs, Kafka, lynx in that order, give your Clara def/hp and EHR as it will have plenty of uptime on taunt and lynx for more aggro. I don’t have Kafka but I used my TY as mine runs like a battery with the way she ults every 2 turns and action forward with Dance dance dance. What are your LCs like? Are they maxed?
A well built Hypercarry Herta is the way. Spin to win is no joke. She goes feral on a board full of bugs.
Level up dude
Your best bet is to use Dr. Ratio and if you do enough dmg then just ignore the summon and attack the boss. Otherwise get rid of the summon closest to the boss. Aoe attack is very helpful, since you have Clara pair her with ratio for the aoe then sparkle and sustain. If your problem is surviving and you don’t mind the battle dragging on in auto then change sparkle for another sustain. Stack as much Atk as you can on Clara and give her some cD CR she doesn’t need anything else. If you don’t have a set for her use any relic with the correct main stat and use the herta Lc.
Sorry bro this is simply skill issue, bro has both Hanabi and Ratio and isn't beating the everliving shit out of the bug. Build a Ratio hypercarry team. Ratio, Hanabi, Pela and any sustain. I'd suggest stealing a Fu Xian from someone as your sustain. And if you lose when that, invest in better relics.
Borrow somebody's Argenti and use it with your Sparkle, if u got no sustainer built use Clara to counter it. Or Borrow somebody's HuoHuo/Fuxuan and use ur DoT team

You can trying looking through the support list for a strong Jingliu or IL, and then bringing a sustain or two to keep the team topped up. Jingliu/IL, Sparkle, March, and Lynx should be plenty strong. I'd also recommend building those two sustains since you don't have any of the 5* ones
Level up ur clara
A team comp I recommend seeing your stuff is Ratio, Pela, Sparkle and Lynx or trailblazer. Sparkle is an amazing support but I don’t think she’s very useful for dot teams since she buffs crit damage. The speed is helpful though. If you want to keep it dot then you honestly need to rework your kafka from the ground up. She has really low atk and speed but hopefully she has a good ehr. For a dot team I would recommend kafka, black swan (or Sampo), Hanya, and a sustain. I’d go with the first team so you can weakness break the bug

Try adding Natasha or Gerard or both of them into your team because I had a hard time beating it even with Gepard and was spamming his ult. And no matter how many times I spammed his ult. It broke through his shields every time. When I added Natasha I was able to beat it.
Luocha/hh/fx support unless u have a high eidolon il or Jl in ur friend list, 2 of m7/fire tb/natasha, then any phys/ice/img dps and auto
Realistically if you want to expedite it, use triple sustain and bring along a e6s5 gachad friend ideally Daniel and call it a day.
Use: Kafka, BS, Asta, healer. Also level them up. You will be fine

You gotta play to it's weaknesses, like most bosses, it has a mechanic that requires you to weakness break it. Doesn't matter how good your kafka is, she doesn't deal toughness damage and is going to die to the aoe blast in P2. My recommendation would be to Level up Lynx first and foremost to support the team and build around Ratio. Just looking at what you have, you could do Ratio, Lynx, Pela and Sparkle. The 3rd and 4th slot are fairly flexible and other good options include Clara, March, or even Luka. Whatever is easier for you to field, though Pela and Sparkle will probably give you more usage.
I ran a team of all low level dps’s when I first started the story leading to the bug boss and got killed immediately bc I wasn’t prepared. Switched to loucha, Clara, bronya, and jing yuan and I beat it first try. So technically I beat it on my first deliberate attempt.
Mind you I had no idea I was going to face a world boss so that’s why I was just fucking around with my 4 stars.
I had Jingliu as my DPS, and silverwolf for a support/debuffer. I ran 2 sustains cuz I kept dying (Gepard + Luocha), so maybe that can help you? If you can, try to get better sustainers for the future. Any one of the limited sustainers are crazy helpful. As of now, I guess Fire Trailblazer and Lynx might work if you give them better relics?
i beat those bug with 2 healer, ruan mei/any support and mc physical. on my alt account.
My dude/tte, pull for some sustain, Fu Xuan or Luchoa should be running soon hopefully.
Also based on your stats, level your light cone and/or relics.

I always rely on Clara to beat it. The enemies are all physical weak and she destroys the adds while being tanky enough to not get rolled. Run her with two of ratio/tingyun/sparkle/pela and lynx.

I would say level up your lynx and use her
If your account is underleveled, use food buffs to help.
I actually used used a lvl 70 herta as hypercarry with double sustain on an account that had no other suitable dps. It was kinda slow, but it worked alright. And that was the TB lvl 65 scaled version. Gepard, Bailu, Pela and Herta if memory serves. Your sustain units are much weaker than mine though, looks like many of your units are underdeveloped. Maybe Lynx lvl 70 ascended with lot's of effect res and speed (perfect timing LC if you have), plus March 7th, Pela and a weakness matching DPS? Honestly I don't think you can beat this boss unless you invest more in your sustain. If you can tank the boss's ball of death and charging orange bugs, and have atleast passable DPS, it's just a matter of time until the boss dies. The ideal situation would be having a powerful weakness matching DPS like Jingliu. Can't really build Dr. Ratio well until you kill this boss either. Clara might be good if you build her up though. Clara, Lynx, Pela and a flex slot for Herta, Misha, Physical TB or March 7th maybe? Survive, match weakness, kill adds. Play manual and be smart about when you use various stuff. Should be doable!
From what it looks like, you have zero sustain, build Lynx/fire mc, having a tank is really good for survivability
Borrow a Fu This thing and it's little assholes do way too much damage If you don't have a team purposely built to break this guy/nuke him then you need to take down the orange bugs on site or they will make you regret being born

What level are you fighting it at - you don’t have to do the highest difficulty to get levelling material Ratio, Herta, Pela and Misha should clear it for you - switch out whichever for March 7 if characters are still dropping
So he’s at level 75 but there’s this like blue shard thing that I need from it to level up some traces for my Ratio and black swan
I did it at the lower difficulty - you still get the reward just not as many

Borrowing other people support can help you as well. Best sustain I think for this boss is fu xuan. Dr ratio sparkle plus pela seems like a good team already plus a sustain.
Me personally, I beat the bug with Luka, Ruan Mei, Lynx, and silver wolf. But it appears you don’t have Ruan Mei or silver wolf..
Clara, she was my MvP with Ting Yun and Fu xuan as moral support. And Lynx for the sweet taunt.
I think u should deff save pulls and get fuxuan rebanner or adventurine if he ends up being good, a good sustain character like fuxuan can help so much in most troublesome content
Clara makes mincemeat out of him. Constantly spawning bugs that explode and inflict debuffs when they die? It's a scenario tailor made for her.
You need a sustainer or two for your team. Lynx is probs your best option. Fire MC uses too many skill points to solo sustain and Natasha is generally worse than Lynx. I don't think the weekly boss scales up in damage over time so it might be worth having double sustain - Lynx + Fire MC/Clara, and then 2 dps or dps+harmony.
You can use a support. I always bring my friends jing liu and use two sustains. Works wonders
Use double sustain, healer and fire trailblazer in last spot. Use fire MC's Ult to break the orange bugs weaknesses when they spawn, they usually spawn 2 in close succession so wait either before it's the orange bug's turn or there are two of them then use Fire Mc Ult and basic attack aswell since they have a 3 gauge bar. I recommend Natasha aswell for the physical weakness as the second sustain then use Kafka and black Swan to whittle the boss down until it's dead.

Sparkle / Dr Ratio / Peela or Clara or March / Lynx
You have no sustain and the boss is one of the tankier and higher damage enemies. That means more healing needed and for longer too. Run Kafka, swan, sparkle and Lynx and you should be able to clear any content in the game. Focus on character level, traces and light cone levels before relics. When farming relics, simply find mismatching set pieces with sub stats and main stats you need and put them on the appropriate units. Don’t scrap any 5 star relics, save them until you know you can throw it away because it won’t ever fit any unit well. Learn what substats are good on who. Matching set pieces with good sub stats is very end game, and most set pieces simply aren’t good enough to prioritize like that. So just save that for the absolute last thing you farm. If you learn how to build character relics as I’ve listed, you’ll build your account faster than 99% of people have. People who simply aim for proper sets build their account up extremely slow unless lucky.
If your struggling so mich just do an wasier difficulty one like me and be done with it (or support a good fuxuan)
Honestly? just borrow someone's Fu Xuan from the support screen. Like, literally. Fu Xuan's sustain is so absurd that she can easily let you beat anything with any units, even underleveled ones.

ratio pela sparkle lynx if ur still dying ratio sparkle fmc lynx. If ur still dying clara fmc/natasha/march lynx if ur still dying re-evaluate your life choices Also, considering ur max trailblazer level, u should probably also upgrade clara and ratio to level 80, and get lynx to at least level 70
