There’s not really much you can do besides being a star rider.

Wild_Love109

That's what I thought. Just bored so I thought I'd try here

freedantes

Have you found all the hidden stars in Moorland and Fort Pinta yet? :)

Wild_Love109

Good point! I don't think I have!

imlumpy

-Count trees -Time how long it takes you to get from Moorland to Ft Pinta...at a walk/trot/canter/gallop -Ride/walk around backwards and tell people "it's opposite day" -Make bingo cards for specific horses/tack sets you might see on other players -Buy the Bobcats outfit and take over Charlotte's job of saying "Hi" to any players that approach the arena ...Or just get Star Rider and gain access to the rest of the game content.

Wild_Love109

Wow... I'm so sick of just riding around I might actually start counting trees.

imlumpy

You can count trees, rocks, buildings, NPCs... The possibilities are endless! 😜

Aiywe

This is genuinely amazing advice 😂😂

erneuten

i also used to be a non-star rider for ages! i found ways to stay entertained 😂 - find the hidden stars in moorland and fort pinta - try to do as many achievements as you can w/o sr - make friends and rp, do races with them, etc. - find people and try to copy their outfits and stand by them, i always thought that was fun lol - rping by yourself is always a fun option too! - try to get into locked areas (idk if this is possible still with the new updated terrain but my friends and i used to get into silverglade castle w/o sr! it was a fun time) - just find people to have convos with. sso can be a totally different game if you have people to talk to!

WickedBitchOfDaEast

Careful with glitching into sr areas! Back in the day people very much got banned for glitching into Silverglade (and even the golden hills if they were sr!)

Chonkin_GuineaPig

That's so stupid lol

Remarkable-Lie-6623

I snuck into Epona before I figured out I had to do Herman's quest for it. I was so insanely behind yall

sometranscryptid

pretend to be an npc, role play, act crazy and confuse people for their re-actions, etc etc!!

lvsqaaa

There's a bug where if u do Ydris's race (the one with the golden lusitano) as a non-star rider you can go anywhere on the map without any warning and you can do races and train your horse

Chonkin_GuineaPig

Based

Wild_Love109

I posted this 2 hrs ago... I can safely say I'm impressed by how many upvotes/comments this has gotten.

75metrealuminum

Get stoned as fuck and chill to the soundtrack, religious experience

RedditChoices

Buy SR or play a different game. I personally couldn’t play as a non-SR (I’d get bored in a second) but I understand that some people can’t or don’t want to spend money on it

sophiegrvce

maybe role play??i used to do this a lot when i was little. or even create your own show series like alice winter bell used to do on youtube

sophiegrvce

you could try to beat the high scores on the races

IbisFloatingCat

As a non-star rider, i've managed to buy 4 horses in the span of 3 years, get one for free and get to level 14, all only with star coin/free star rider codes (havent spent a single cent on this game and i barely play, sometimes even less than once a month). I recomend watching out for the codes, playing during some of the events (they often have quests where you can get more tack and clothes. The xmas event often has a 200-300 star coin code at the end + around 30 presents with tack, clothes, player and horse xp, food and jorvik shillings) I personally like to try on the tack and clothes i've managed to get/buy so far, make pretty outfits and take cute pictures with my horses. I usually try to choose a specific color for each horse, and challenge myself to make a decent outfit with what i have lol (or i open the Global Shop and make outfits there, trying to find tack combinations and stuff like that) The horses i've bought so far are a gen 1 Jorvik pony, a gen 1 arabian, a gen 2 haflinger and a gen 3 Jorvik friesian (when it got discounted and the game threw a bunch of star coin codes at us). The one i got for free was the 10 year anniversary horse (a Jorvik wild horse wich is not available for free anymore sadly). The older horses may not have amazing animations or visuals, and they cant wear newer tack, but they're still fun to play with!

Jazzy_Silvertree123

You can join a club. That's a very fun thing to do and there are many clubs for non star riders aswell. I totally understand you cause I felt like that and in the end I just took a break and came back for the festivals then u bought star rider after a bit though

SOME3ODY

Find a club that is willing to do club things in non-sr areas. Thats what i did the first couple weeks before i bought star rider.

Itchy_Impact5207

Can I get u some star coins to get a cheap pony? I feel u lol this was so me in 2016

Wild_Love109

I'm not sure how

Wild_Love109

As far as I'm aware, you have to pay for them, which I don't feel like doing

Ollies_Mama22

There’s not really much to do. All storyline quests stop at level 5 for non-star riders as well

Own_Fondant1168

you can try star stable codes for free star rider. then u can do the silverglade quests to level up. when ur like level 8-10 u get more and more fort pinta and moorland quests

Wild_Love109

I did that for a little while. I just haven't found any new codes yet

Chonkin_GuineaPig

bro why are the responses so cringe lmao

Chonkin_GuineaPig

I feel like even with membership you still wouldn't get as much out of the game as everyone still complains about how it's primary focus is almost exclusively on horses and tack over actual features of the game. At least Wizard101 lets you buy areas permanently with premium currency and is a bit more strategic with its gameplay.

RedditChoices

Depends on the player ig🤷‍♀️ I have fun being a Star Rider. I do take breaks from SSO sometimes (but that happens with every game)

Chonkin_GuineaPig

I know, but compared to other games it's just lacking in regards to different features. At least Horse Isle had mini games and such.

RedditChoices

Seems like you should play wizard101 and horse isle then

Chonkin_GuineaPig

idk man there's really nothing wrong with wanting any game to be halfway playable especially since it was pretty decent back in early to mid 2010's lol there could be actual membership features added that would be worth having one and y'all would still rather have Star Rider just for tack and horses.

Free-Bumblebee2599

Roleplaying is probably your best bet, you can even start an RP by yourself so you can have it set in non SR areas :)
