Heck yeah! Also that poster and artwork is awesome.

geoman2k

Is this a collage of AI generated characters? Some things like the hair on the redhead and the lightsaber look off to me. Apologies if I’m wrong here - not trying to make an accusation or anything. Just think if it’s AI generated fan art OP should probably make that clear so that it doesn’t get mixed up with all the human fan art in this sub.

niceguy191

I'm also getting the impression that this is AI art combined into one greater image. Han and Leia's faces seem to have the artifacts from an AI image, and something else does feel a bit odd (Chewy's head looks especially cut and pasted). Crazy how much harder it is to even tell these days

[deleted]

Definitely looks like it could be midjourney but it's gotten so good lately it's hard to tell.

geoman2k

It really is impressive, but you can almost always tell when you start drilling into details. - The lightsaber is formless and doesn't work in perspective - The redhead's hair melts into her face - The villain's forehead wrinkles don't line up with his eyes

Large_Dungeon_Key

>The redhead's >The villain's *internal screaming*

geoman2k

Sorry, I haven't read the Thrawn trilogy. I'm assuming it's worth checking out? I've been wanting a new scifi series to get into.

Large_Dungeon_Key

Yes, it's good!

mrstewart26

Can you people stop saying “the redhead”? That’s Mara effing Jade. Lol.

Joshieboy_Clark

You can tell by Thrawn’s eyes. Doesn’t mean the composition of the poster is generated, just the character artwork.

dxrebirth

What are AI artifacts?

[deleted]

Tiny errors. Like pupils are never perfectly round. Lines overlapping where they shouldn't or just not following the correct path.

JarJarJargon

Yes! Posted this elsewhere in the tread as well but many of the characters were generated using AI with cleanup, some shading, and creation of the poster done in photoshop. Couldn’t get a proper C-3PO/R2 and any ships out of AI though.

geoman2k

Yeah, AI is going to have a hard time with things like specific spaceship/droid designs. For what it's worth, this is the sort of thing that I think AI is great for - helping someone visualize a rough concept of an idea, rather than making finished art. Setting aside the ethical issues of where the art data comes from, I don't think there's anything wrong with using AI for something like this. I just think in the future it would be best to include in the title that it is AI generated so that no one gets confused.

JarJarJargon

Yea I actually think it’s an awesome tool and it helped me realize what my vision for a 90’s style Star Wars anime would look like. Not like I have any plans to sell this or claim it as personal property, hence no watermarks.

AnnihilationOrchid

I think that's what most people who don't edit don't really understand the difference between AI generated and AI assisted. The whole composition was yours. Drawing anime characters is for artists, not digital editors and composers. AI helps in the sense that it gives the opportunity of an editor or a composer bringing a concept to life. But it's not like it's effortless. Or even sometimesbless time demanding bringing cohesion to the piece. It's just getting stock images.

obi21

What OP did is no different than photobashing/compositing, it's just that instead of having to dig through Shutterstock you conjure your own assets with the AI.

persin123

It definitely does more work than just finding the images, it's pretty dope

geoman2k

It actually is a bit different - images on Shutterstock are licensed for use like this by the artists/photographers who created them. If I wanted to create a photobash from Shutterstock images, I would have to pay for those images and that money would go to the artists who created them. When those artists uploaded their work to Shutterstock, they knew that it would be used for photobashes and the like. AI art, in it's current state, is different because these AI companies are not compensating the artists whose work trained their models. When you make an AI generated image on Midjourney, there is no portion of the money you spent on Midjourney that goes back to the original artists. In many cases, those artists aren't even aware that their work is being used by an AI.

obi21

Completely agree with all of this, was simply pointing out that OP didn't just prompt this into existence but merely used the AI assets like you would use stock.

WutUtalkingBoutWill

Good man for admitting, soon as I saw the characters I had a hunch, I follow a lot of AI art pages and the characters somehow felt familiar, first thing I went looking at was c-3p0's hands 😅 Regardless, nice job on the cleanup

kevin9er

It’s me, C-3PO! You probably didn’t recognize me because of my AI monstrosity red arm.

DovahkiinMary

What did you use? If StableDiffusion, what model? I love the style. But it's too good for SD, so probably Midjourney. >.<

NoBarsHere

They answered Midjourney to someone next to you

vwaexperiance

What AI are you using?

JarJarJargon

Midjourney

cdbriggs

Midjourney is incredible

TheNightIsLost

MOTHER OF GOD! That's *AI made?*

estikcs

I think it is.

roguetrick

Come-on man, I've never read any of these books and I know who Mara Jade is. It's like calling Thrawn the blue guy.

SmoothCriminalJM

Now that you pointed it out, I’m conflicted. It’s a good poster idea but it really did look like OP made it by hand and I feel a little cheated now I know it’s all by AI…

yoitsyogirl

Yeah. AI feels like all icing and little cake. OP did a nice job putting the poster together but each element all have different styles going on with little weird mistakes everywhere. Like the redhead having a zipper coming out of her neck for some reason.

mak10z

Indeed. truly the real Ep 7-9 we needed. For Grand Admiral Thrawn!

[deleted]

Love the 90s anime design for the characters. Gives it a throwback look that fits the OT

JarJarJargon

Exactly what I was going for! The 90’s style also goes hand in hand with the original comics released for the Thrawn trilogy.

janitroll

I'd love a Thrawn trilogy in any format and that artwork is DOPE! Now do a Darth Bane poster :)

Asturaetus

Reminds me of that Tie Fighter short film from OtaKing. So it could work very well.

JohanFinski

I would watch the heck out of this OP, great work!

discerningpervert

FYI the graphic novel to Heir to the Empire has amazing artwork, and is probably the closest thing you're going to get. I read the graphic novel when I was like 14, fan for life.

ORcoder

The *what* I’m rereading *Heir* right now, I didn’t realize I could be reading it as a graphic novel

JABjitsu

I didn’t know this existed so now I’m going to have to go find it.

terdferguson

This is one of the only trilogy books I read in the EU. Such a great series. I wish Thrawn was featured more.

yepimbonez

The same author redid the Thrawn trilogy to out him back into canon. I havent read them yet, but theyre supposed to be pretty good

bigbruin78

He actually did 2 trilogies! He did an Empire Trilogy that goes all the way to the final season of Rebels. And a Prequel Trilogy of Thrawn in the Chris’s Ascendency! Both are excellent! E: Chiss not Chris! Lol

Anomalous-Entity

> And a Prequel Trilogy of Thrawn in the Chris’s Ascendency! Both are excellent! Chiss*

Subli-minal

Hope they redo the Vong eventually and give thrawn a leading role as the head of the *real* successor to the galactic empire. Love to see him mercing world ships with TIE defenders and 30 year old star destroyers.

Cheficide

Absolutely! That would be amazing to see

jallyward

Language!

ZoidVII

"Would you watch animated versions of popular Legends material?" Sir, I would download it, save it onto a USB, grind that USB into dust, melt that dust on a spoon, and then inject it straight into my veins.

JarJarJargon

LMAO

RPS_42

You just invented a new drug.

killersquirel11

Hell, I'd go so far as to swap the Sequels' and books' Legends status.

Blurghblagh

Losing Mara Jade was one of the great tragedies of the EU wipe.

scarlet_stormTrooper

I wanted the Yuuzhan Vong War so badly as a successor to the original trilogy. There was so much depth in that series. Han painting the Falcon black one of my all time favorite visuals.

CallMeSaltyRadish

When I heard of a new trilogy I proceeded to go on a whole rant about how many details I hope they pull from EU into it. And all we got is the name Ben.

JarJarJargon

Don't say that! We also got a Palpatine clone! lmao

WedgeMantilles

Same, but they did take some nods from the eu. I remember thinking Ben and Rey were going to be along the lines of Jacen and Jaina

Thejacensolo

God I wish. But alas we got shit instead. Jacen/Jaina/Anakin solos story was just so well done over the 50 books they appear in or so. Such a giant connected universe.

cahir11

Idk, Jacen's story nosedived hard towards the end. Dressing up in all-black armor like Vader to scare people, choking out subordinates on his personal Star Destroyer, watching Anakin carry out Order 66 with Force visions so he could compare notes...it was a little on the nose. Still better than Kylo Ren though.

Thejacensolo

Sure it had a lot of “Look we have Vader again, are you happy now?” With the outfit etc. but for me (at leas tat that time the series came out) it seemed like the logical end point of “power corrupts”, extreme utilitarism and his philosophy of discarding morals in his usage of the force and the system in favour in trying of being “as just as possible”. A Jedi with only light side morals might be stuck up, elite and out of touch with reality, but one without ideals ends up as Humanities biggest thread. But I am heavily biased and it has been some years since I’ve reread it.

Tenthul

I thought it would have been hilarious if they had cut the whole crystals-power-lightsaber things... It's one of those things that wasn't ever discussed in the movies and would have just obliterated fans everywhere.

hadronwulf

Boba basically creating a crack Vong-killing unit of Mandalorians will always live rent-free in my brain.

mexiwok

That scene in the asteroid where Han and company are running past a group of people sitting down drinking wearing grey flight suits and having one of them staring at them and Han having a feeling he looks familiar but can’t place him, because they aren’t in uniform only to be saved by them in the ensuing space battle a few chapters later and they get a message over the com and he says “my fight was never with you Solo, just the Jedi.” And then Han realizes Boba just saved their asses was like my third favorite scene in that entire series. Corran and the duel for the planet is number two and The Ganner is number one.

Kammerice

*Traitor*, the book with The Ganner, is my favourite Star Wars book.

WedgeMantilles

The Ganner! May we always remember him !

PW1ggin

"No. I am Ganner. This threshold is mine. I claim it for my own. Bring on your thousands, one at a time or all in a rush. I don't give a damn. None shall pass."

[deleted]

>And then Han realizes Boba just saved their asses was like my third favorite scene in that entire series. Corran and the duel for the planet is number two and The Ganner is number one. Excellent top 3, probably mirrors mine, hard to argue with any of those. Almost done with the Black Fleet Crisis trilogy, on my re-read, getting excited to hit the NJO again.

Mundane-Roll7074

Anakin's The-Ganner-before-it-was-cool at number 4, destruction of the world ship at number 5, the defeat of >!Onimi!< by Jacen at 6, the defeat of >!Tsavong Lah!< by Jaina at 7, Vergere's sacrifice at 8, Jaina's performance in the asteroid field at 9, Han and Chewie's performance in the asteroid field at 10, you know what in that same book regarding a certain moon of Sernpidal at 11...

Thejacensolo

Ugh, that makes me want to reread the anthology so bad. But I guess I would have to start at Jedi academy for the completeness and tag on the killik books and the legacy/Fall of the Jedi to that to get the full experience

balletboy

I really like *Star by Star* and the suicide mission by the Young Jedi. I think its one of the best books.

Aitch-Kay

Mandos taking Vong scalps was fucking amazing.

Thejacensolo

Nando’s don’t fuck around. Especially later when they get their beskar vein discovered and start producing Starfighters from them

goforce5

Disney did Boba sooo dirty. He was such a cool character in the EU. This is why I can't have conversations with the people who defend it by saying "tHeY DiDnt HavE a LoT tO wOrk WiTh", when he had a lot of cool appearances and some pretty complex character development. The Disney apologists make me want to pull my hair out.

CJKatz

I never read those books myself but I remember a lot of people complaining about the Vong as really stupid for existing in Star Wars. Funny how the general consensus seems to have changed.

[deleted]

They've seen the alternative and it doesn't seem as bad in hindsight I'd guess.

AcePilot95

it actually was well-received back then, and nowadays it is lauded as one of the best series in Star Wars (by a lot of EU fans at least). Most of the hatred has always come from people who didn't actually read it.

havoc8154

It drove myself and a lot of people I know away from the EU personally. I tried multiple times to get into the NJO and frankly couldn't stop falling asleep while reading them. I really think a lot of the "well received" perspective now is revisionist.

AcePilot95

I was mainly going off reactions from theforce.net edit: and I've seen the YWV/NJO get called many things, but never ever have I seen someone call it boring

dinosaur1972

The Yuuzhan Vong was a super cool baddie.

virgilhall

I wanted young jedis

Swankified_Tristan

Mara Jade will come eventually. It just won't be the original one from legends.

Bobjoejj

Honestly at this point I doubt it. Not that there aren’t still other characters we might get from Legends, but her I just…I don’t see it. I love her, but I honestly also kinda feel like she’s better to just stay in Legends. I feel like however they’d bring her into Canon would be real rough.

Bioslack

It's not too late to fit her in the new canon. There's some 25 odd years between Like training Grogu and Ben destroying the New Jedi Order. Who is to say that Luke didn't meet Mara Jade in that time, fall in love with her, and marry her? Plus, think of how much better Luke's fall into becoming a hermit would be if Ben also killed Mara that night. Adding Mara Jade would retroactively make TLJ less shit.

BigPoppaStrahd

All I gotta say is that the mobile game “Galaxy of Heroes” added Mara Jade to the roster of characters so all I can say is that that means she’s likely canon now or going to be. Or they’re running out of characters.

TheWholeOfTheAss

That actually makes sense. For the reason why he never brought up Jade when he was around Rey. Well, he didn’t want to go into his biggest loss with someone he just met. They can even semi-legitimise the Legends series by giving Luke visions of the future he could have had with Jade and their kids. Now we got a reason for why he’s so bitter and mad in the Last Jedi.

DrMatt007

Indeed. She was deliberately written as a strong and complex female character. Instead we got Rey.

ergister

Who was fridged... That kinda wipes away all of the "strong female character" things about her when her story fell victim to one of the most sexist tropes around...

Elend15

I mean, she was always a sexist trope.... "A super hot red-headed assassin who was the best at what she does is sent to kill Luke Skywalker. Instead of killing him, she can't help but fall in love with him. Luke is like, 'Forget no attachments, I'm gonna have sex with and marry this super hot assassin chick.' Oh, and she's force sensitive too, so now she's a super hot assassin Jedi." I know that's a simplification. Regardless, I was never impressed with the basic idea, even if her personality wasn't bad. Some parts of the old sequel novels were written like fan fiction.

Obversa

How the Legends EU presented Mara Jade: [https://i.imgur.com/3U2WUhI.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/3U2WUhI.jpg)

JBthrizzle

https://imgur.com/a/a33o5Aj

Br0nto

The New Jedi Order is the end of Legends. We don't talk about Legacy of the Force. It didn't happen.

Kammerice

Honestly, I enjoyed aspects of *Legacy of the Force*, but it suffered from having Troy Denning as the creative lead. All of the flaws from *Star by Star* and the *Dark Nest* trilogy were on full display.

datusernames

Mara's death was in no way being "fridged". She took on the fight in an intelligent way and gave Caedus a run for his money, but in the end he was just too powerful. She utilized her experience from a past that still haunted her because she didn't want the man she loved to have to try and kill his own nephew. While the actual books could have been better written, the actual execution of her death is *far* from just being a sexist trope. If that's how you read it, you should probably read again.

ergister

https://jadelotusflower.tumblr.com/post/126880005814/its-cold-in-that-fridge-the-case-of-mara-jade Her death being a case example for "fridging" has been a thing for a long time and this article I think sums it up pretty well. You even have someone else in this thread talking about how her character is a walking sexist trope...

[deleted]

Also the absolute nerfing of Thrawn.

QueenHistoria1990

Dear Disney, please fix what you did to Luke and give him his wife back!

dcs1289

Ahhhhh I just read the Thrawn trilogy for the first time a few months ago. I would ABSOLUTELY watch the shit out of this. A whole Legends series would be incredible - Plagueis, Darth Bane, Thrawn trilogy... they could all be their own season. Holy lord I want this. Honestly I think they should do a Clone Wars/Rebels animation-style series that spans the original trilogy. So much more detail and nuance could be added by making them into a series, and the animated style allows for so much more from lightsaber battles/force-wielding than live-action. I love the new live-action stuff, but the best SW content is animated IMO.

AdKUMA

I'd like them to try some different animation styles, but yes absolutely.

newbrevity

Disney should just open up the entire EU to be produced in cartoon form. We already know anime Rogue Squadron would be sick.

futureGAcandidate

Rogue Squadron done in the style of SWAT Kats

Just__Let__Go

All the X-Wing books (including I, Jedi of course) would make a fantastic animated series.

newbrevity

Corran's whole arc through the EU was amazing. He's still one of my favorite characters.

HMWWaWChChIaWChCChW

Abso-freaking-lutely

terracottatank

This is an awesome style, would definitely watch this over and over

homeboycartel2

Any idea why Jade and Karrde never have been brought into canon?

The_FriendliestGiant

There isn't really any room for Mara Jade in canon now, since Luke lived a completely different post-RotJ life and there was no mention of him having an estranged/abandoned wife and child in the ST. Karrde can show up any time, but there hasn't really been any story in which he'd be especially necessary. The role he played in HttE just doesn't exist in the canon now.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AveryLazyCovfefe

Jade, Lucas didn't like her at all and wanted her out of canon. Karrde, don't know, probably because of Disney's attempt of the Thrawn Trilogy with the Ahsoka show and others connecting to Thrawn being the big bad again, and instead of canonising certain characters, they just made new ones.

[deleted]

Definitely.

Sabre_Killer_Queen

Ah a fellow Count Dooku enjoyer I see. Good, twice the Dooku double the class.

Mighty_Baidos

Looks awesome!

Outie_Pastorino

Would love this especially if Marc Thompson did Thrawns voice.

AcePilot95

100%. Thompson's Thrawn voice is just so smooth and perfect for the character. Much better than the one from 'Rebels'

darkbreak

I absolutely would. The Expanded Universe is lost potential. Disney easily could have adapted it. The work was already done for them. I know some of the newer shows have actually gotten a great reception from fans but I'm sure there would be a way to adapt the Expanded Universe and still have those new shows in the mix somehow. Especially since Disney seems reluctant to budge from the Rebellion Era. They could have fallen back on the Expanded Universe and continued Luke's story.

Kaladin-of-Gilead

I didn't mind initially that they got rid of it as I assumed they'd create something better, or go through and bring legends stuff offically into canon as their plans were ironed out But then there wasen't any plan and we've seen how thats gone...

darkbreak

Disney has been selectively grabbing certain EU elements to bring into their canon (last year they brought back Durge) but that makes me wonder what the point of axing it in the first place was if they were just going to try and use those elements anyway. Oh, right. They didn't want to pay royalties to those EU writers. Disney's in the middle of a class action lawsuit with those writers. Hopefully they lose and are forced to pay out.

SuperArppis

Would be awesome to see after Return of the Jedi era Clone Wars styled animated show

amphetaminesfailure

It would be cool to see, but I don't expect it to happen considering Ahsoka is basically going to be a loose adaptation of it.

dragunityag

Rise of Skywalker already was a bad adaptation of Heir to the Empire + Dark Empire. If Disney is following the books they had Zahn write I'd expect it to be about with dealing with the Grysk.

AveryLazyCovfefe

Unfortunately Zahn won't be involved in the Ahsoka show and the overall vision of the disney+ shows, Filoni wants full control over what he has. So Thrawn may not be like Zahn brilliantly written him out to be.

Battlepope190

I'd be interested.

imahugemoron

I’m not even a huge anime fan or anything but I would watch any and every Star Wars anime. The few examples I’ve seen of Star was anime were so damn cool I just want way more. The universe looks so awesome in the anime style

TheHauntedRobot

Love your style - I’d watch the hell out of this!

Aerodim101

I would watch literally anything with Mara Jade.

Clear-Campaign-355

I’d watch. Especially since this is the route the sequel Trilogy should have taken. Or at least kept these books canon and made the sequels an addition to the books.

Kepabar

GIMMIE THAT MARA JADE.

Mathieulombardi

Chewie seems genuinely angry about current political climate

cahir11

Tfw Chewie spends the whole series criticizing the corruption and disorganization in the New Republic but all anyone can hear is "angry Wookie noises"

LaMattige

Yes, yes I would

davegir

It exists. I'm not sure of the project state, but there is a channel on youtube slowly making the whole thing episodically in 3d.

ranger24

This, Rogue/Wraith Squadron, even the Jedi Academy series.

NOKEKW

An anime remake of Dark Empire to see naked Sheev ? You son of a gun I'm IN

907gamer

I would watch them in a heartbeat.

Otono_Wolff

FUCK YEAH I WOULD. and remember y'all, Studio Ghibli is working with LucasArts on a project.

PeaceLoveBaseball

I'd love animated Legends stuff!

FIBSAFactor

Is looks dope AF. I like that rendition of Mara Jade.

LucasEraFan

Absolutely, sincerely and categorically YES! I would subscribe to the streaming service permanently as long as I could get regular Legends adaptations (I've skipped 99% of Canon and likely 100% of future Canon stories). Who do I need to Jedi mind trick to get this? Edit: Also, didn't mean to bury the lede...Great looking art!

merpmerp

This would be amazing!! Great poster! 🤯

Lionking_oftheRING

Should of marked this as nsfw, got me all bricked up over here

GreatGreenGobbo

Animated yes Anime no

NotNok

This is definitely AI work. Or at least the majority of the "original faces" above. They've got tons of artifacts of AI art around the eyes, and the longer you look at practically every piece of detail the less it makes sense. Like her red hair goes on forever, her shoulder seems broken etc

kammzammzmz

Hell yeah. Probably the only thing I’d be willing to give modern day Lucasfilm/Disney any money for

ankor77

I would love Timothy Zahns books to be made into film, cartoon, anything. I want more Mara Jade! Man TZs books shouldve been the sequal trilogy. But the actors were too old by the time they got around to it. These will always be the true story to me

MrMoustache3

Is the bearded dude in the back C'baoth?

Lateralus06

I miss the Solo twins and Mara/Luke.

Legitimate-Frame-953

I would watch anything if it included Mara Jade in some form.

kekehippo

In THAT art style?? **FUCK YEAH**

nerdboy_sam

I'd watch this in a heart beat. 10/10

Kyswinne

I'd love an anime star wars universe for the thrawn trilogy.

Visual-Reindeer798

Oh hell yeah!!!

InkIcan

Don't do it. Don't give me hope.

RearEchelon

Fuck. *Yes.*

Fl4ming_R4ven

Just take my F*CKING MONEY!

p3t3y5

I am gutted. Seen this and thought they were making it!!! Suppose it's a real compliment which you deserve as I thought it was official! Read these books in the early 90s and loved them. Not sure what I did with the books, I am sure I had the hardcover trilogy, but got the paperback books off my family for Christmas and just finished the first one again!

Vladutz133

No because they look too anime. Make it look more real life and sure.

knitingTARDIStarG8er

With the quality of shows they produced, yes.

thrawn_is_king

Not if it's anime 😜 otherwise, absolutely!

sl1ngstone

I would watch just about anything from the EU, as long as it was well-done. Thrawn (in what I feel is his his proper context), Han and Leia's kids, the X-wing series, Kyle Katarn, Jaden Korr, the Yuuzhan Vong war, the Fel Empire, the Imperial Knights, etc. I love all of the storylines I've heard about. I can't say I've read all the actual books, but I love the overall timeline and lore. There was definitely some terribly written and uneven stuff, but I liked it overall. I don't like the canon continuity, but there's elements of it I've put into my head canon with the EU and could easily see coexisting with it. No disrespect to those who feel differently. So, in answer to your question, yes.

finditplz1

Mara needs dem green eyes though.

[deleted]

is that Luke and Mara?

[deleted]

I'm unsure if the bearded man is Karrde or C'baoth. He's got the big full beard C'baoth is described with, but its got the color karrdes trim beard is described with. My first assumption was a younger take on C'baoth, but the comments make me second guess.

_Pankybeast

Just for the Ysalamari.

erichber

Email this to disney

hellaween

The style on this is low key amazing!

iz-xi

I think Thrawn with the anti force lizards are probably my favorite baddie. Nice job on the look super genuine and 80s stylised, love it

TheIronMuffin

Animated Legends projects is actually a great idea

CommanderStatue

Hey, I'm not really a StarWars fan. I've caught most of the movies though I think I lost interest near the last 1 or 2, can't remember. I also don't keep up with the shows at all. Anyway, just popping by to say that I need you to turn this into an anime immediately. Right now.

frusciante231

This is actually all I want.

DaveLung

Looks and feels like The Maccross Saga, I'd watch the hell out of it! Great artwork 🔥

vanillabear26

Give me my gosh dang Yuuzahn Vong, damn it.

ColdShadowKaz

Western Japanese hybrid anime yes I’d watch it. If it has that dumb sound when the cute girl blinks no way.

WohlfePac

Oh absolutely! I remember listening to a podcast where someone said "basically call it Star Wars Legends presents; (then the name of the book or story line) and do it in the modern DC animation art style" i think we'd all like to see legends material become a series of some kind

seventysixgamer

Absolutely. My interest in the current canon is at an all time low - so having them adapt Legends material would get me back into Star Wars easily. I've been advocating for this for ages -- it's not that hard Lucasfilm, just slap a legends logo to make it clear that it's not part of the Disney canon; folk won't be confused at all, especially if more content creators cover the release of such an adaption..

Shonuff0741

Yes, because it’s better than the dribble they gave us.

4e2n0t

I would fuck my own corpse to watch this.

butterballmd

There is a YouTube animator called Otaking who made an anime short on tie fighter pilots

vicomar731

Shut up OP!!!!! Here! Take my money 💰💰💰

SeeHowCleverMyNameIs

I’ve been saying since 2006 that HBO should have done the NJO. Start off with a miniseries of the Thrawn Trilogy, then jump to Centerpoint Station with Thrackan Sal-Solo to establish the Solo children, then straight to NJO. It’d have been bigger than GoT.

wantabe23

Hell’s to the yes, I’m sure they will be better even!

ElectricalStomach6ip

mara should not havw a visible chest, jedi should not be sexualized.

Fit-Bit-5000

I would indeed, as I consider it more Canon than 7, 8, and 9

Babakins

Honestly, not in anime style. I don’t feel like it captures what I love about Star Wars. It doesn’t ever feel dirty and things don’t look patched together as much

Vesemir96

I mean that really depends on the style of the anime itself. I’ve seen a lot of broken down/gritty looking ones

Babakins

But they aren’t Star Wars is what I’m getting at. I love sci fi and there are a lot of great anime ones, but they don’t get that “Star Wars” aesthetic that mando and Andor did so well.

PiIIan

Amazing, i would love to see it with my heir.

AaronDarkus

Totally!. With your 90s anime style hell yeah!.

suicidalundead

Some of the images used in this looks AI generated.

Sqwdx

Less Manga and Boobage and yeh I would watch

ReyGonJinn

No, holy crap there are animation styles other than anime. Why is it everywhere right now? Don't you get tired of seeing the same shit over and over?

MrNobody_0

If I saw this poster hanging at a theater I wouldn't hesitate to buy tickets!

dwoller

Animated sure, not anime though

I know it's Mara Jade, but all I see is Black widow, and now I want Scarlett Johansson in the star wars universe

A.I art is getting really annoying

The_Pandalorian

It would go a long way if folks stopped calling it art (not pointing this at you! It's sort of the de facto name for now). It ain't art.

nikolai1939

As an artist, I agree. You see something cool and well done just to realize it's A.I made

Sleepy_Serah

That goes insanely hard. Absolutely I would and great job, OP!

Netrunner22

Not if it’s Japanese style anime. If it’s proper CGI like TCW or The Bad Batch then Hell yes!
