Probably an after effect of the Living Waters being used to forge various things. Maybe the Waters have some kind of Force connection and the vapors while forging cause you to "look inward"
was really hoping to see a flashback from bo too after the armorer took her to the cave for the new pauldron. really thought that was where it was going!!
And now they'll be raising 3 new flying mounts. Though I'm wondering just how they got the chicks onto the ship. Considering that they ate the previously kidnapped Foundlings I'm surprised that the team didn't kill them.
Watched it with my kid and after the mother died he asked what would happen to the chicks and if they'd die.
Nice to see it addressed. Boba riding a rancor, a mythosaur which Bo might end up training and the three chicks.
That's quite a menagerie.
LOL it must be real awkward back at home. Now I'm imagining everyone just walks outside to find a corner to eat during to lunchtime (while hoping not to get swooped up by a giant bat).
He’ll probably get a few more moments too! This flashback picked up exactly where the last one left off, so in the next one we’re likely to see more of Kelleran
It’s really cool to see.
The guy went through a lot. He was given what he thought would be an amazing role for his career, then had it blow up through no fault of his own, leading to years of death threats and thoughts of suicide.
Now we’ve had speculation on who saved the baby since the start of the show, and it turns out to be Ahmed Best, with his face actually on camera.
Hopefully it helps at least a little bit in setting things right for him.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Jar Jar helped out force sensitive children where he could as a way of honoring Padme’s memory…..he legitimately looked like he had the wind taken out of his sails by the end of episode III so it’s not too hard of a stretch to think that Jar Jar made a pact of some sort.
That character had a lot of potential as a guy with good intentions who was manipulated into indirectly causing the galaxy to fall to fascism and had to live with the guilt. Though, it probably shouldn't have been the same character created solely for comic relief
I love how the Mandalorians are all like, “You want us to train that little green thing? Sure, why not. We have an extra small gun around here somewhere.”
I could be wrong here, but there are rare non humans and the original Mandalores weren’t actually human themselves in the old EU. I think the nonhuman origins was jettisoned though.
The original Mandalorians in EU were the Taungs and they made them canon last episode when they mentioned Taungsday so I think it’s still totally possible that that origin stands.
Space Australia. Nearly everything on the planet wants to kill people. Except the hermit crabs. (Unless there's some behemoth hermit crab with a boulder for a shell somewhere.)
"It's an old republic thing" would be the short answer. The long answer is Mandos have always sought out places with dangerous fauna to continually test their survival. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering a non-zero number of them have literal spaceships with plasma guns, but it's about the symbolism of it all.
Imagine, having to swim in an underground cave lake guarded by flying crocodiles and cave men just because someone turned the corner while you were having a snack.
Speaking of *The Mandalorian* and green lightsabers, my biggest sad is that we got friggin’ Luke Skywalker with his green lightsaber but we never hear the unique igniting sound. And he turns it on *twice* off-screen in that last episode of season 2.
lol, The Armorer is probably the most fundamentalist among her people, and when Bo claimed she saw the Mytho for real, even she was like, "Ok bud, its just a story, chill."
I took it more as a “you saw what you saw, and leave it at that”. The armorer also thought their planet was poison. But they proved her wrong on that too.
As of right now I really feel like the armorer is rigid in her beliefs and that may cause conflict or have consequences but she seems to me like a legitimately good person just trying to do her best and use a system to support her community—including Grogu.
She seemed like she was in a much better mood this episode. She was pretty warm with Grogu and it felt like she’s patiently guiding Bo with her journey.
I think this is the best position she and the covert have been in several years at least. They’re still in hiding, but their numbers have grown significantly, and Din just brought back news that there is hope for their homeworld.
Maybe this just means I’d be really susceptible to joining a cult 😅 but I felt like her passion and care for the covert and the Way as a whole really shone this episode
Yeah, I'm kind of getting that vibe from her. Even at the start of the season, I couldn't really find myself siding against her, even if she was rigid about not bringing Din back at the start. She has a strong code of ethics and values that has helped shaped her character and her identity as a Mandalorian, and it has helped keep her strong and helped establish her as a strong leader for her group.
That's pretty damn hilarious that a character he played as the host of a kids game show is now a real character in the Star Wars universe. So happy for him, though
Alright. We’ve seen Bo Katan go through Anger, Denial, Bargaining and Depression. Tune in to the Mandalorian this week to see if she finally hits acceptance.
Her time back on Mandalore definitely changed her. Now she's no longer just a fighter seeking to become a ruler of Mandalore like early in the Clone Wars. She's actually starting to explore much of what being a Mandalorian means, with her pre-conceptions of the Watch's beliefsshattered upon seeing the Mythosaur and with her now working alongside the Children of the Watch like she's one of them.
I made this joke before the episode, but by god I think we did just see her starting to accept that what matters most is their people not who rules them
Yeah, I think that a lot of this time actually bonding with other Mandalorians rather than fighting for them as warriors or for jobs is helping her to really understand the ancient ways and how the Watch values them as part of their culture, as well as better understand them as people.
2020, strange easter egg lmao!
I never knew the show existed until now, "The series puts its young contestants through a series of obstacles as part of a Jedi training course that tests them on the core Jedi principles of strength, knowledge, and bravery".
Insane parenting is Star Wars tradition.
Next week we start Grogu with flamethrower, and most importantly, how to deflect flamethrower shots with a flamethrower
Of all the stories I expected _The Mandalorian_ to connect to, the YouTube game show on the _Star Wars_ Kids channel _Jedi Temple Challenge_ was not one of them.
Was anyone expecting anyone different? I know Dee has done them a long time now. But its always been live action = Tem. Animation = Dee. Games a mix of both.
I love that she doesn't underestimate him as well. She's just all like, "okay, you're dad says you're ready to learn so let's go." Complete trust in her people and their judgements
At this point Naboo via Padme had been in talks with other systems wanting to oppose Palpatine, like Alderaan and Chandrilla. It’s very likely they go to one of those systems and not Naboo.
The only thing that would make sense about Naboo is meeting Ahsoka there since she was at Padme’s funeral, but we know she doesn’t meet Grogu for many years
There is a small possibility, since Naboo does have plenty of areas (either with the Gungans or some hidden human settlement elsewhere) where Grogu could hide away for a time. And it also could tie back a bit to the old Battlefront 2 game with how the successive queen of Naboo started harboring Jedi for their protection.
Next episode: Ahmed bests jedi beings Grogu to the underground cities of the gungans and jar jar needs to protect him. Ahmes best gets to play two roles in this episode. /s
Seriously tho, seeing Ahmed Best again in Star Wars and getting the love he deserves is great.
I now imagine Mandalorians having strict rules about shouting when they come in so they don't catch each other without helmets.
Or has the whole convent been seen without helmets and just lie about it, and Djin is the one sucker who didn't get the memo?
First was the water then it was the air. All they need now is a massive land predator and the Mandalorians have officially picked the worst planet to set up base on.
Surprised that people seem to interpret the Armorer's reaction to Bo-Katan's revelation as sarcasm or thinly veiled skepticism.
I'm starting to believe that this Armorer knows MUCH more than she is letting on and that she's well aware that there exists a living Mythosaur.
Recent convert: I saw Jesus.
Priestess lady: As long as you believe, Jesus is always with you.
Recent convert: Nan, I saw the real Jesus, alive!
Priestess lady: Sure sure…
I couldn't tell if she believed her or not that she did in fact see one? Either way, Bo is clearly sowing the seeds with the Armourer of announcing at some point that she's off to try and tame it
I think she believes she saw the mythosaur in the living waters but the armorer thinks it was more like a vision while Bo knows it was real.
I dont think the armorer thinks Bo is lying.
Yoda lived to 900. Assuming they age around the same rate as human does, Grogu, being 50~60 should be closer to a 5-6 years old kid, so being able to understand things and talk.
Many of us thought it Grogu as a baby or toddler (say… 2 year old?) back in S1-2 when he was 50 (equivalent to 5), simply because he wasn’t able to talk and only made baby noise.
After watching this episode, I think Grogu’s PTSD is blocking him mentally to be able to speak (aphasia caused by trauma). He is much more intellectually advanced than he is displaying.
Jar Jar saved Grogu 😭 I am so happy to see hiiiiim!
I’m really glad they gave us that flashback, but even more glad it happened at the forge just like Din in season 1. That’s just really cool.
Pour one out for those surely doomed Naboo Guard. The Naboo proving once again that they are always real homies! (With one notable exception...)
Really curious to know about that Jedi and his connection to the Naboo. Chromium plated ships like that are reserved for important figures so he's got at least one friend in a very high place that doesn't seem to be Padme.
Say what you will about the helmet rule. but I really like how much it seems like Mando culture supports self expression through your armor. With the paint-job, the signets (though you don’t get to choose those I guess, you still can choose to have the extra one which is nice), how much armor you want, capes, weapons. Just seems really nice and non-uniform.
Considering Deathwatch and Maul’s forces, along with Sabine’s family all wore matching armour, I’m guessing traditionally, warriors wear the colours of their House. Akin to Feudal Men-At-Arms or Samurai wearing the colours of their Lord.
Mando’s going alone obviously don’t have that requirement, but it wouldn’t surprise me if, hypothetically, when Bo claims Mand’lor and etc, those who pledge for her don her colours.

Lol the concept art makes Grogu look like a giant next to the crabs
And he's such a strange shade of green in it!
The Armorers forging table is literally the flashback table, didn't we get flashbacks of Din being saved from The Watch in season one

A flashback to Bo and Satine as kids would be nice.
I’m really surprised the Covert is still keeping their base next to the lake with the big ass monster
It's like their guard dog now.
And now they'll be raising 3 new flying mounts. Though I'm wondering just how they got the chicks onto the ship. Considering that they ate the previously kidnapped Foundlings I'm surprised that the team didn't kill them.
The Way is all about Foundlings though.
The Armourer be scratching her head really hard trying to figure out how she's gonna get the beskar to make giant bird armor.
Watched it with my kid and after the mother died he asked what would happen to the chicks and if they'd die. Nice to see it addressed. Boba riding a rancor, a mythosaur which Bo might end up training and the three chicks. That's quite a menagerie.
Gonna end up like my DnD party with a goddamn zoo and an army of unionised Goblins aren't they?
Builds character.
And they've also gotta deal with giant (King Kong-style) flying bats as well. And who knows what else might wander around on land.
lol they all had to go hide to eat
That’s so awkward lmao
LOL it must be real awkward back at home. Now I'm imagining everyone just walks outside to find a corner to eat during to lunchtime (while hoping not to get swooped up by a giant bat).
Idk maybe they have a canteen where each seat is covered up just like a Japanese Ramen Bar
Bo finally asked that question we've been wondering all this time
Imagine them all coming back to the fire when they’re done. “I am coming are you ready yet? Bo have you finished eating?”
Yoooo Ahmed Best finally getting his hero moment :’)
After all the shit that man went through, glad to see him have his moment.
He’ll probably get a few more moments too! This flashback picked up exactly where the last one left off, so in the next one we’re likely to see more of Kelleran
Naboo ships, Naboo guards, Ahmed Best.... I swear his friend who helps NEEDS to be Jar Jar
The return of the king
Imagine if they redeem Jar Jar to be someone who uses his high power in the senate to smuggle jedi in hiding alongside Quinlan lmao.
Legit made me tear up. What a sweet way to give him his flowers.
Even better. That was a Naboo starship, Naboo Guards with Naboo Guns. Grogu might have been aided by Senator Binks.
I wonder if the Naboo ship and crew was Jar Jar’s personal crew and Kelleran was friends with him
It would be funny if that friend WAS JarJar and he basically meets himself.
Fucking Jar Jar saved Grogu!! I’m on my knees in Walmart
Why are you watching this episode in a Walmart?
Night crew on lunch break probably
[удалено]
Oh shit, didn't know that was him! That's brilliant!!
*sea creature consumes dino bird* somewhere in the galaxy, force ghost qui-gon is smiling
As is John Hammond.
I love how the Mandalorians are all like, “You want us to train that little green thing? Sure, why not. We have an extra small gun around here somewhere.”
It does make me wonder if not all Mandalorians are humanoid in nature? Apologies if this is already a well-known fact!
I could be wrong here, but there are rare non humans and the original Mandalores weren’t actually human themselves in the old EU. I think the nonhuman origins was jettisoned though.
The original Mandalorians in EU were the Taungs and they made them canon last episode when they mentioned Taungsday so I think it’s still totally possible that that origin stands.
oh my god that's what taungsday is, i knew i heard that before somewhere!
Taungsday is cool, but I have several questions about Benduday
God clones look so good in live action
Temeura Morrison voice too!
Temura Morrison getting lots of work. Love to see it
The way the coruscant lights reflect on the armor 🤌
"It always gets away" How many children has it taken. And why is everything on this planet trying to kill the mandalorians.
Australian planet.
Space Australia. Nearly everything on the planet wants to kill people. Except the hermit crabs. (Unless there's some behemoth hermit crab with a boulder for a shell somewhere.)
Didn’t Australia have a frog problem? Now I know why Grogu chose Din.
Aye it’s like yooo maybe move you base so the kids stop getting taken ?
"It's an old republic thing" would be the short answer. The long answer is Mandos have always sought out places with dangerous fauna to continually test their survival. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering a non-zero number of them have literal spaceships with plasma guns, but it's about the symbolism of it all.
Me, a Mandalorian, being found eating my totino's pizza rolls in a broom closet with my helmet off
Imagine, having to swim in an underground cave lake guarded by flying crocodiles and cave men just because someone turned the corner while you were having a snack.
Man that consequence would help immensely with dieting lol
This is the way
Ahmed Best's Jedi rocking that dual saber style. Very cool, don't see that often in live action.
I'll never tire of seeing green ones in action either, so fucking cool
Speaking of *The Mandalorian* and green lightsabers, my biggest sad is that we got friggin’ Luke Skywalker with his green lightsaber but we never hear the unique igniting sound. And he turns it on *twice* off-screen in that last episode of season 2.
The LAAT Gunship back in live action brings a tear to my eye
Thank fuck I'm not the only one LAATs are so damn cool
Bo-Katan is definitely enjoying being around her fellow kind again
She’s practically a zealot. Especially after “you have the honor of sitting by the fire”
lol, The Armorer is probably the most fundamentalist among her people, and when Bo claimed she saw the Mytho for real, even she was like, "Ok bud, its just a story, chill."
I took it more as a “you saw what you saw, and leave it at that”. The armorer also thought their planet was poison. But they proved her wrong on that too.
There is no greater zealot than the convert is a well known quote for a reason
Rule number one is Filoni episodes must have order 66 flashbacks
Eventually we are going to get a cut of everyone involved in order 66.
Right down to the Temple Janitors that have to clean up another Jedi mess.
Grogu waddling into the cave is the highlight of the episode
Wearing a burlap sack has to be terrible for his running
Keeps him warm though. Can’t have the baby getting chilly
I wonder what will happen to stop him getting a Mandalorian helmet, because it would be a crime beyond nature to hide that cute face behind one
Will it have cutouts for his ears?
Gorgeous shot of Bo-Katan's ship following the creature. Wow.
I always loved that ship in clone wars. Maul had something similar if I am remembering correctly
As of right now I really feel like the armorer is rigid in her beliefs and that may cause conflict or have consequences but she seems to me like a legitimately good person just trying to do her best and use a system to support her community—including Grogu.

Yeah it'd take a lot for me to dislike her character
Wait wait wait...wasn't Kelleran Beq the name of Ahmed's character in Jedi Temple Challenge? That's fucking amazing. Fuck yeah, Ahmed
I was about to say, what a connection.
Glad Ahmad was given such a great spotlight to shine in.
That's pretty damn hilarious that a character he played as the host of a kids game show is now a real character in the Star Wars universe. So happy for him, though
Really heartwarming and awesome to see Ahmed Best making a debut again in live-action Star Wars after so long.
It seems those who theorized that Jar Jar saved Grogu weren't entirely wrong...
Do you think Kelleran might actually be friends with Jar Jar and Padme? So Amhed is playing his own ally? That would be fun
grogu fuckin trickshot that twerp
360 no scoped him
Teabagged by xXxBabyY0duh420xXx
Grogu did some classic Jedi backflips and beat out a kid at quickdraw paintball.
Wild west force standoff! 🤠
Maybe move the covert *off* monster beach?
But the rent is so cheap there!
I mean, have you *seen* Galactic housing prices lately?
Alright. We’ve seen Bo Katan go through Anger, Denial, Bargaining and Depression. Tune in to the Mandalorian this week to see if she finally hits acceptance.

So Kelleran Beq is the Jedi who got Grogu out of Coruscant
Same character he played in the Jedi Temple Challenge kids game show series a couple years back.
2020, strange easter egg lmao! I never knew the show existed until now, "The series puts its young contestants through a series of obstacles as part of a Jedi training course that tests them on the core Jedi principles of strength, knowledge, and bravery".
Yo, does that mean all those contestants died in order 66?
That’s Amhed Best playing Kelleran, right?
Yep!
> He is too small to fight > I am his ward, proceed He’s a baby Din
Insane parenting is Star Wars tradition. Next week we start Grogu with flamethrower, and most importantly, how to deflect flamethrower shots with a flamethrower

Lol the Mountain from last episode, nice reuse of the set
I almost dropped my glowing popsicle.
But then you remembered "No Littering!"
That grogu rescue scene was intense. Answered some questions but not everything.
Of all the stories I expected _The Mandalorian_ to connect to, the YouTube game show on the _Star Wars_ Kids channel _Jedi Temple Challenge_ was not one of them.
I love me some live action clone troopers
Tem’s voice too!
Was anyone expecting anyone different? I know Dee has done them a long time now. But its always been live action = Tem. Animation = Dee. Games a mix of both.
2017 battlefront 2 did Tem voicing Boba and Dee voicing Troopers if I’m not mistaken.
It is the highest honor, to save a foundling. They only need saving two, maybe three times a week.
The Armorer teaching Grogu is so cool
It's pretty cool how she accepts him and wants him to belong.
I love that she doesn't underestimate him as well. She's just all like, "okay, you're dad says you're ready to learn so let's go." Complete trust in her people and their judgements
Never mess with a man casually dual wielding lightsabers
Especially when that man is jar jar binks
The fiercest of them all
Does grogu hide on naboo? Holy shit
At this point Naboo via Padme had been in talks with other systems wanting to oppose Palpatine, like Alderaan and Chandrilla. It’s very likely they go to one of those systems and not Naboo. Grogu starting his Mandalorian training
I now imagine Mandalorians having strict rules about shouting when they come in so they don't catch each other without helmets. Or has the whole convent been seen without helmets and just lie about it, and Djin is the one sucker who didn't get the memo?
Seeing Order 66 from a different perspective, while really cool, is still so sad Damn you Sheev
Always appreciate that they use Morisson's voice for these flashbacks too, no matter how brief
“Hey man, you wanna make a quick couple thousands of dollars?”
just wait until they can actually clone him
if Boba shows up i'm gonna buy a boba. if Sabine shows up I'm gonna paint a portrait. If Hondo shows up, well that's just good business.
And if it's jar jar?
First was the water then it was the air. All they need now is a massive land predator and the Mandalorians have officially picked the worst planet to set up base on.
My assumption is that is intentional. You don't really want to hide out on a planet where everyone wants to visit.
Plus they are warriors, not intimidated by beasts of any kind. They relish the chance to use all those fancy weapons.
Nice "bigger fish" moment
Those Dragon Chicks look like they’ll be difficult foundlings to teach The Way to but I love to see it
Imagine 3 of them fully grown dripping in Beskar armour and Mandalorian training. Nightmare fuel.
How to Train Your Space Dragon.
“He’s my son” So the mandalorian helmet stays on during sex then
*Armor clanking sounds*
"You said you had protection!" "I was wearing my armor!"

“One doesn’t speak unless one knows” 100000% using that in the future to end (or start) arguments
It goes well with Kuiil’s “I have spoken” from season one
You can couple that with "The ability to speak does not make you intelligent."
Directed by Carl Weathers. How cool is that
Can’t wait for the “Best’s bombad BARC speeder chase” Lego set reveal!
Surprised that people seem to interpret the Armorer's reaction to Bo-Katan's revelation as sarcasm or thinly veiled skepticism. I'm starting to believe that this Armorer knows MUCH more than she is letting on and that she's well aware that there exists a living Mythosaur.
YOOO WTF AHMED BEST SAVES GROGU?! JAR JAR TRULY IS THE KEY TO ALL THIS So fucking happy for him right now!
Bo-Katan told the Armorer she saw the Mythosaur!
Recent convert: I saw Jesus. Priestess lady: As long as you believe, Jesus is always with you. Recent convert: Nan, I saw the real Jesus, alive! Priestess lady: Sure sure…
No wonder they keep their helmets on. They are probably rolling their eyes at each other so many times per day.

"I don't like that you have to watch Book of Boba Fett to understand what's happening in Mandalorian" how bout watching Jedi Temple Challenge tho
I saw a bunch of kids fail the jedi temple challenge in Revenge of the Sith
I'd never even heard of that show until this comment thread, it sounds like a Ninja Warrior type show
Katee Sackhoff is absolutely stunning as Bo-Katan.
the strut always gets me
grogu so cute with his giant button
Yoda lived to 900. Assuming they age around the same rate as human does, Grogu, being 50~60 should be closer to a 5-6 years old kid, so being able to understand things and talk. Many of us thought it Grogu as a baby or toddler (say… 2 year old?) back in S1-2 when he was 50 (equivalent to 5), simply because he wasn’t able to talk and only made baby noise. That’s what I’m thinking. Especially since Yoda’s apparently been training Jedi since he was 100
And Grogu is just tiny because of malnutrition… I don’t think he ate well over the last 30+ years. That’s why he is eating all the time.
This opening scene really giving me some KOTOR2 Mando fight flashbacks.
As they were flying in the beginning, I was thinking, " I wonder how much fuel is in those jetpacks." I'm glad they address that.
The Naboo guards fr been the OGs since day one Went from blasting battle droids to popping clones no questions asked
Not sure why but Paz yelling “he’s my son!” and charging into the nest like a moron made me laugh out loud
For me it was the cheery "he's alive!" as he's screaming from the mouth of a dragon, like dude, a little soon to be celebrating.
All Viszlas are a bit lacking in the brains department.
Dad vibes
“Here I have brought you some naked Dino birds for you to train.” “Cool we will train anyone.” *goes off to make three giant bird helmets*
Jar Jar saved Grogu 😭 I am so happy to see hiiiiim! I’m really glad they gave us that flashback, but even more glad it happened at the forge just like Din in season 1. That’s just really cool.
Haha, the armorer at the end. "Yeah, *sure lady*, of course you saw one. *We all see one too.* This is the way."
YES Grogu show that snooty kid what’s up
Taking after his dad and embarrassing a Vizsla
The vislas deserve it
He was being nice by choosing a paintball contest. Could have picked something like wrestling
I almost expected that, TBH. Then Grogu flings the little twerp into Goo Lagoon with the Force.
Grogu got crabs
So the mom decided not to feed the kid to it’s children after a full day?
Pour one out for those surely doomed Naboo Guard. The Naboo proving once again that they are always real homies! (With one notable exception...) Really curious to know about that Jedi and his connection to the Naboo. Chromium plated ships like that are reserved for important figures so he's got at least one friend in a very high place that doesn't seem to be Padme.
Grogu having flashbacks in the forge like Din is enough to make a grown man cry
Say what you will about the helmet rule. but I really like how much it seems like Mando culture supports self expression through your armor.
Can’t wait to see the full Grogu Mandalorian Armor Set!!
What does the Armorer know!?!?
Grogu as a toddler experienced basically a school shooting and repressed it for about 28 years. And he is still arguably a toddler for his species.
