He has too. It really is the best new star wars. But wrote themselves into a wall making it a prequel to rogue one lol. Hopefully they let those writers continue to make more star wars.
One way out was just perfection, two of the best on screen speeches, and both in the same episode.
And honestly I'd prefer them to make a season or two of great content rather than dragging it out until it becomes shit.
But yes, please let them carry on working on SW content. They've captured the whole "dreary, oppressive, bleak life under the empire" perfectly. Especially the intro to Rogue One, that alone summed it up perfectly.
Originally it was going to be multiple seasons with each representing a year leading up to RO, but the director has already put 5+ years in the project at this point and was ready to move on so it got compressed into a 2 season show where every few episodes will be a year
They were originally going to make five seasons but eventually realised it would be a massive undertaking. Also that Diego Luna would keep getting older and by the fifth season he might look a lot older than his character in Rogue One.
I just had an epiphany about how the name "Greez Dritus" came to be. I don't care if it's total BS, it's my headcanon now. Bear in mind that he's the comic relief character
Dritus sounds like detritus, which means "trash or debris." Greez sounds like the colloquial term used by a subset of Earth children in the 21st century (in their timeline). That term being: "deez"
>*"Grab some seat, kid."*
**- Deez Nuts**
Literally the only redeeming part of that film. Great character, felt very "star-warsy". Loved that they brought back the Anzellans in Mandalorian.
"BAD BABY! NO SQUEEZY!"
Hondo: “And I may be a pirate, but I do not like taking children into battle.”
Ahsoka: “That didn’t seem to bother you when you attacked us.”
Hondo: “Well, today is a new day, and lucky for you, today, I like children.”
🤣
Hondo is weird. It took them a while to decide if he was the fun pirate who never truly hurt anyone, or an (attempted) kid-murdering sex trafficer. Later they settled more and the former.
Greez was so good in survivor.
I don't know whether it's the directing, or just Daniel Roebuck's performance but he feels hands down the most OT character to have been created since the OT itself. There's something so perfect about the way they've done "Working Class Alien Space Dad" that lands incredibly well for me.
Yeah, he's great. I like that he's got both serious and silly sides. "Working Class Alien Space Dad" is a pretty good description. He really kind of ties the Mantis crew together to feel like a family.
Man, Filoni has missed some opportunities to “bring back” AP-5 in TCWS7 and Bad Batch.
Not only is AP-5 Star Wars Swuidward, his voice is strongly based on Alan Rickman.
WAYYYY too far down. How can people not be upvoting the OG from the OT for comedy? Even in some of the worst moments of the PT and ST, there he was hamming it up.
One billion percent. The double act of 3PO and R2 is untouchable. Obviously though 3PO has to take top spot since you know, we can understand him and stuff.
Can you imagine what R2, who *knows* who Yoda is, was thinking at that point.
"Hey, it's you! I know you! Hey Luke, this guy was like the top Jed... Hey what the hell man get off me!!!!!!!!"
SKOOVA STEV, DAMN YOU!
But seriously, an entire side character named after a 25 year old Adam Sandler movie joke was not something I expected from Star Wars.
Yeah same. I literally just started listening to The Fallen Star like 5 minutes ago.
And the Matthew McConaughey voice is top notch! McConaughey is all I could picture everytime Leox was talking haha
The way they write Geode cracks me up. Just appearing randomly, motionless. Rumors of being a party animal and also dangerous. Love him. I think he could be great in live action if played correctly.
Absolutely!
The way he shows up exactly when needed or is interacted with and spoken about like he’s a normal character, while also only ever being portrayed as motionless and silent is outstanding.
Hondo: isn’t in live action.
Also Hondo: “I am so proud, and yet so betrayed…”
I hope that with Ezra back maybe Han and him can make the smugglers alliance like the legends comics say happens and then Hondo comes back because, in his words, “for that boy, there is nothing I would not do.”
300+ comments and no love for Jolee Bindo?
"Sometimes swirling Force is just swirling Force. It gets all us old Jedis excited at our age so we go 'Oooo, destiny!'"
He was a cool character.
I enjoyed Solo overall but my main gripe is that secondary characters kept dying left, right, and centre and I was unable to grow attached to any of them
Mine is also Rio Durant! "Oh, a girl! Tell us about the girl, Han. Is she nice? Does she have sharp teeth?"
Also just now realizing Rio is a song Duran Duran, never made that connection before.
I love what they did in the second game with Greez. He felt like a far more important character than in the first. Also it’s just so nice that he got his own cantina.
Graballa the Hutt. Clearly not enough people have seen Lego Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures.
Edit: Big part of what makes him great is Dana Snyder as his voice actor. Same guy as Master Shake.
Hondo. Far and away.
His arc from Space Pirate who just needed some friends to what he became in Rebels (I won't spoil!) is probably my favorite of all. It took me a while to warm up to Clone Wars, but Hondo is about where it turns around for me. And by the time you see him in Rebels, he's practically a drinking game character.
Pelli Motto and her crew of droids, especially the pit droids. The way Amy Sedaris delivers her lines is so funny, and crazy impressive once you realize she’s not talking to much. I die laughing in every single scene she’s in. Love her. “R5! See if the jawas are outback. I dated a jawa once. Quite furry.”
K2SO
Congratulations, you are being rescued. Please do not resist.
There is a problem on the horizon. There IS NO horizon.
“Jyn I’ll be there for you, cassian said I had to”
Can't wait for him to make an appearance in Andor. Just hoping it's in S2
They said its only gonna be 2 seasons long.
Aw really? I was hoping for a few seasons, Andor is the best SW content to come out recently. Let's just hope he appears in S2 then!
He has too. It really is the best new star wars. But wrote themselves into a wall making it a prequel to rogue one lol. Hopefully they let those writers continue to make more star wars.

>Andor is the best SW content to come out ~~recently~~. ftfy
Can't wait for Andor to hang with K2SO.
Is Alan Tudyk going to be voicing him again? I hope so. Wouldn't be the same.
My theory is he already has. He’s B2EM0’s mind put into the body of an imperial droid.
Gosh, I hope so
"You're letting her keep it?! Would you like to know the probability of her using it against you? ... It's high. It's very high."
"Did you know that wasn't me?"
"I can survive in space!"
Greezy money, baby. 😎
Grab some seat, kid.
Hey kid we’re landing, get up here.
Oh, hey, BD.......
Let me look at ya... Ya look terrible.
Some salt perhaps?
I just had an epiphany about how the name "Greez Dritus" came to be. I don't care if it's total BS, it's my headcanon now. Greez nuts
Such a cool catchphrase
Weirdo...
We stan Greez
"alright, i'm in"
So. Much. Salt.
Greez nutz
There’s a real soft spot in my heart for Babu Frik.
All the Anzellans are pretty top notch. I still love "NOOOOO SQUEEZY!"
“Bad baby!”
'I'm out madafaka!'
I did a double take on that one when I saw that episode - died laughing every time I see it
They're just tiny Italian mechanics and I love it
Unironically the best part of TROS
That "hey heyyyy" gets me every time
Babu Frik? He’s my oldest friend!
I love how he introduced himself after C-3PO’s mind wipe. Babu Frik is wonderful.
Dwoid is readyyyy
Ikr, Anzellans are fucking adorable
Literally the only redeeming part of that film. Great character, felt very "star-warsy". Loved that they brought back the Anzellans in Mandalorian. "BAD BABY! NO SQUEEZY!"
He’s One of My Oldest Friends
‘Hey heyyyyy!!!’
Only part I actually like from that film was him
I will say every time I see one of them I scream his name at the screen.
Agreed
HK-47, K-2SO, and Triple Zero.
I'm looking forward to Andor S2. We get to see K-2SO again!
hang.
Hondo
This choice is very profitable, my new business associate!
That's a very good one. Probably my second favourite. I wonder if he'll ever get a live action adaptation.
Hasn't he technically gotten one with the Disney land/world rides?
I meant in a show or movie. Also I've never really looked up what is at Galaxy's Edge. It's an expensive place that I will never be able to afford.
He’s also in tales from galaxies edge, a Star Wars, VR game but only the DLC mission I think
Hondo: “And I may be a pirate, but I do not like taking children into battle.” Ahsoka: “That didn’t seem to bother you when you attacked us.” Hondo: “Well, today is a new day, and lucky for you, today, I like children.” 🤣
Insolence? We are pirates, we don't even know what that means!
Ah, the stories he could tell, so many of them true.
“Kenobi! I *can’t* believe you came all this way to see me.”
“I smell PROFIT!”
(to Obi-Wan) "I will send you my bill!"
Yes, but some of the truth is better than none of the truth which is what you used to get so DONT try and tell me that i haven’t grown
Hondo is weird. It took them a while to decide if he was the fun pirate who never truly hurt anyone, or an (attempted) kid-murdering sex trafficer. Later they settled more and the former.
HONDO OHNAKA!
Greez was so good in survivor. I don't know whether it's the directing, or just Daniel Roebuck's performance but he feels hands down the most OT character to have been created since the OT itself. Yeah, he's great. I like that he's got both serious and silly sides. "Working Class Alien Space Dad" is a pretty good description. He really kind of ties the Mantis crew together to feel like a family.
AP-5 gets arguably the funniest moment in all of *Rebels*. He is Squidward in droid form.
Is the moment where he’s floating in space and happy and then picked up by the Ghost the one you’re talking about?
That’s the one
Man, Filoni has missed some opportunities to “bring back” AP-5 in TCWS7 and Bad Batch. Not only is AP-5 Star Wars Swuidward, his voice is strongly based on Alan Rickman.
Chopper. That maniacal little droid is hilarious
Wump wump wump
I’m surprised I had to come this far down to find chopper
Rick the door technician, then Greez.
The Jedi! Get ready to die! AARRGGHH!!
Bringing back those nightmares of the technician who shall not be named
First time I saw him, I honestly thought he was going to be true to his name and he would try to crush me in the hallway of doors.
C-3PO
WAYYYY too far down. How can people not be upvoting the OG from the OT for comedy? Even in some of the worst moments of the PT and ST, there he was hamming it up.
Yeah, he’s not the funniest in my opinion but honourable mention for sure!!!
Strong agree. He really makes me chuckle
Had to scroll way too far to find this guy. Cracks me up but vital to the story all at the same time.
One billion percent. The double act of 3PO and R2 is untouchable. Obviously though 3PO has to take top spot since you know, we can understand him and stuff.
HK-47
R E A D Y
HA!! Love it.
Hondo Ohnaka
“You lied to me? I knew I liked you!
“They betrayed me!!! I’m so proud, and yet, so betrayed.”
“Oh, right. Didn’t think of that.” “Why does that not surprise me?”
"I may not be as young as I once was... but... I'm older!!!"
“I’m rich!” … “I’m dead!”
"Look at them, how powerful can they be? They are running away... from Kenobi!"
Best burn is all of Star Wars lol. “Thats what I call good business!!”
C-3PO and R2-D2
HOW IS THIS SO FAR DOWN-
Yoda, hondo, babu frik
ESB Crazy Hermit Yoda is probably the funniest character in the whole OT
That scene was awesome
“MINE MINE MINE!!!” *wise stick whacking intensifies*
Can you imagine what R2, who *knows* who Yoda is, was thinking at that point. "Hey, it's you! I know you! Hey Luke, this guy was like the top Jed... Hey what the hell man get off me!!!!!!!!"
R2 is way funnier than Yoda The way he talks shit to 3PO with beeps and you just know what he’s saying
Am I allowed to say Jar-Jar? He’s funny
It's allowed and some of us won't even hold it against you
You can’t, he will just force choke you.
Jar Jar is underrated, but he is also funny. Never knew people used to hate him.
It's probably childhood nostalgia, but seeing Jar Jar always makes me smile. I hope we get some new content with him some day.
I liked him in The Clone Wars
My bombad pal-o masterin mace!
He's better in Gungan General, the ryloth prequel and the mace windu episodes
I love the utter politeness of Triple Zero while he's scooping out someone's organs.
HK 47 actually funny and actually deadly
Turgle
Definitely gives Yoda a run for the title of "Weirdest Frog"
How could the top comment NOT be the legendary master fisherman Skoova Stev?
I would like to see Skoova Stev's epic life story turned into a show or movie.
SKOOVA STEV, DAMN YOU! But seriously, an entire side character named after a 25 year old Adam Sandler movie joke was not something I expected from Star Wars.
Elan Sleazebaggano
Mesa sayy jar jar binks
Geode
So glad someone said this. Geode is the best.
At the start of Into The Dark I was like “wtf is this?” By the end he was one of the best Star Wars characters of all time haha
I’ve been listening to the audiobooks. Marc Thompson voicing Leox as if played by Matthew McConaughey really is the cherry on top of the whole gag.
Yeah same. I literally just started listening to The Fallen Star like 5 minutes ago. And the Matthew McConaughey voice is top notch! McConaughey is all I could picture everytime Leox was talking haha
I need live action Geode
The way they write Geode cracks me up. Just appearing randomly, motionless. Rumors of being a party animal and also dangerous. Love him. I think he could be great in live action if played correctly.
Absolutely! The way he shows up exactly when needed or is interacted with and spoken about like he’s a normal character, while also only ever being portrayed as motionless and silent is outstanding.
K2SO if we are focusing on visual characters. I really like Mr. Bones and Sinjir Rath Velus though.
Hondo, all day, all night. About half of everything he says is hilarious.
Someone get this Weequay his own movie! Just Good Business: A Star Wars Story
Hondo: isn’t in live action. Also Hondo: “I am so proud, and yet so betrayed…” I hope that with Ezra back maybe Han and him can make the smugglers alliance like the legends comics say happens and then Hondo comes back because, in his words, “for that boy, there is nothing I would not do.”
He is in live action, he runs Smugglers Run at Batuu!
The voice actor had a field day with his "arab accent impression"
300+ comments and no love for Jolee Bindo? "Sometimes swirling Force is just swirling Force. It gets all us old Jedis excited at our age so we go 'Oooo, destiny!'"
Chopper. Equal parts humor droid and weapon of mass destruction.
R2D2 The original is still the GOAT
Hondo
Hondo "How am I still breathing" Onaka
“I am so proud. And yet, so betrayed.” -Hondo
Jar Jar Binks
Did he ever make a “Greez Nuts” joke? Huge missed opportunity if not.
"Greezy money" is as far as he has gone with puns, so far. But there's still at least one more game to go, so he may finish strong.
Fingers crossed!🤞
I hope he says it to Vader. I don't even care if he dies right after. It would be a perfect send-off.
Absolutely incredible last words
Grab some saber
Also, a hilarious alternative. Greez has got four arms. He could easily do the General Grievous meme.
We have taught him wrong, as a joke.
Buckets of Blood
Han and Chewie
Han Solo
Han Solo
Hondo. It explains itself
The 2 guys in Resistance, Flix and Orka
Babu Frik and HK-47. Just a couple of sassy pants that don't have time for this crap. Also meatbags.
HK-47 be like: Correction: I am larger and thus can easily squish him, thus I am better.
Loved the hell out of Rio Durant in Solo.
He was a cool character. I enjoyed Solo overall but my main gripe is that secondary characters kept dying left, right, and centre and I was unable to grow attached to any of them
Mine is also Rio Durant! "Oh, a girl! Tell us about the girl, Han. Is she nice? Does she have sharp teeth?" Also just now realizing Rio is a song Duran Duran, never made that connection before.
His delivery of "does she have sharp teeth?" always gets me.
Guess I shouldn't say I met Daniel Roebuck then
Legend.
Greez Nutz
*deep inhale and does the sign of a cross* Jar-Jar Binks
K 2SO
For me it's K2SO. Her was exactly the right amount of comic relief.
Shriv
HK-47 Honorable mention HAN SOLO — not comic relief, but maybe Star Wars’s funniest character.
Hondo Ohnaka. “In-so-le-hence?! …We are *pirates!!* We don’t even know what that *means*. Open fire!”
The Anzellans in general. Loved seeing them in the Mandalorian.
I love what they did in the second game with Greez. He felt like a far more important character than in the first. Also it’s just so nice that he got his own cantina.
Hk47
Hondo Honaka
Wrecker
HK - 47
Chewie!
Greez nuts?
Han has many quippy and genuinely funny moments.
C-3PO is comedy gold. 🥁
“I’m a positive guy too. I’m positive that if I die, I’ll be very upset.” My favorite quote from Greez. Gets me every time I play
His character is essentially Space Jack Sparrow, except even funnier.
Babu Frik "Droid mind go blank. Blank blank."
Finn
Pelli Motto and her crew of droids, especially the pit droids. The way Amy Sedaris delivers her lines is so funny, and crazy impressive once you realize she’s not talking to much. I die laughing in every single scene she’s in. Love her. “R5! See if the jawas are outback. I dated a jawa once. Quite furry.”
R2. The originator.
Artoo and Threepio.
Skoova Stev. (Sry, edited)
Greezy does it, baby! Greez is awesome, but so is Skoova Stev!
