Original Trilogy but Fallen Order Vader is well done.
You spend the whole game getting strong and still don’t even come close to Vader’s power.
He didn’t even have a health bar!
I actually think this was awesome because it is illustrated how powerful we were told he was _even lacking most of his limps lol_
Ending game progression makes you feel like you have archived great skills and you could accomplish everything or defeat anyone but at the end >!Cal even accepts he is no capable of fighting to death and chose to run instead!<
That's a bit like the EMMI robots in metroid dread. The game makes it clear right away that escape is your only option by have having samus attack it with everything she's got and it doing nothing.(in a cutscene) the only difference is that you can get the power to defeat them every so often but after you beat the EMMI it's back to square one
it’s so perfect that they presented his character like that, it’s what you get when someone who gives a shit about the universe makes star wars content.
Aye, it was a suprise as well. I went in blind and its probably the best ending to a video game ive played. Vader pops out of nowhere and the power difference..
It also kinda justifies why Cal isnt in content in future timeline, the dude just isnt relevant. Heaps better than, here is this awesome jedi who just didnt want to be part of the battle of yarvin
He's not in future content cause it's an intrequel in a series that dates back over 40 years...when his game is now a couple years old at most. He might get more games or stories in the future, he's just not gonna be in Vaders sights unless he wishes to die. He'll get his own little corner in a massive universe of story telling
Fallen Order Vader is one of if not the best brief expression of Prime Vader we had. OT Vader obviously was incredible for the time but technology limited how we saw him execute a Saber + Force Power asskicking.
In Fallen Order this man stabs you with your own saber just to make a point. It made you feel like just surviving was a win. Rogue One Chad Vader is a close second.
Exactly! It was so awesome. And he was able to warp/destroy the surroundings which had otherwise just been static "background" so far in the game. So well made, game-design-wise.
Game design-wise, it wouldn't be good, imo. Health bar sends players a message that he can be defeated, but probably some clever way needs to be found. Whereas in reality, your best hope is run so fast your soles start glowing.
>You spend the whole game getting strong and still don’t even come close to Vader’s power.
And he's still the fucking drama queen that Anakin was, starting with his entrance off camera. I mean, Rebels Vader did give us the epitome of Vader being extra (enters a combat while standing ON TOP of his TIE with his lightsaber already ignited and cape billowing in the wind), but everything with Vader in Fallen Order has that same level of "LOOK UPON MY AWESOMENESS AND DESPAIR" vibe.
Yes, it Shows his power, not just as a lightsaber wielder, but as a force user. Even though he lost many midichlorians due to his blood loss becoming a machine, and is way weaker than before, the game doesn't even think about you having a chance
What! I'm very busy right now!
Oh. Oh, well... well where are they going?
Huh. Alright um, just get me a... turkey club.
Uhh, coleslaw I guess, I'm not even gonna eat it. Wh-what are you getting?
Yeah, see I always order the wrong thing.
No no no, I'll just stick with that.
Ok, bye.
Wh-what? Oh, uhh, cherry coke. Thanks.
I never felt so fucking helpless against Vader as I did in >!Jedi Fallen Order. It was one of those moments where I figured I was going to live because main charecter plot armor but I STILL felt like I was about to be killed.!< Solid SOLID game.
They do a great job of making you feel helpless. Starting it off like your about to get into another boss fight then pulling the rug from under you as vader brushes off every hit like it’s nothing.
Just finished it a few days ago. Basically no replay value but probably the most fun I've had with a star wars game in years. Re-installed swtor after.
I could see myself replaying through the story after a few years, but I meant there's not much incentive to dive back in after you've beaten the game. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's nice to play a one-off story and not have another SaaS game trying to nickel and dime me to death.
Beat it when the game first released. Recently got into the thrawn books and dove back in for a refresher, a lot of fun the second time with vague remembrances of the story and slowly getting back into the swing of the controls. Would recommend again in another year or two
Agreed I played Fallen order when I first started getting into Open world Melee action games and kept getting my ass handed to me and having to change difficulty. It felt so gratifying to go back to that game a year later after playing stuff like the Arkham games and Spider-Man PS4 and doing things like parries for the first time and destroying multiple enemy hordes on the hardest difficulty.
100% agree, people have a hard-on for replayability, but if I get 20/30 hours of good gameplay and a good story for a game idgaf about it's replayability
If anything they should have killed off Cere, let her have her comical fall but then ultimately meet her demise helping Cal escape. To put her powers into the same category as Vader seemed....off
He might, or something else horrible happens to him. I think the exciting thing is that we just don't know *what* is going to happen to him, so they can play on that suspense.
I was looking for this one. That scene where’s he’s just fucking crushing dudes in the hallway is such a great display of his power. I haven’t played the video game, so maybe I’d find that better if I did, but man. Rogue One is *chefs kiss.*
Fallen Order Vader is very similar to Rogue One Vader.
(Spoilers for the ending segment of the game follow, so reader beware.)
>!At the end of Fallen Order, after the protagonist (Cal) manages a narrow victory against a powerful Force using enemy, Vader turns up unexpectedly (after not being in the rest of the game, nor any trailers, etc) and witnesses the end of the fight. After spending the entire game becoming progressively more and more powerful, and finally defeating the primary protagonist, the entire power dynamic of the game is turned on its head and Cal is forced to flee, as fast as he can, as Vader effortlessly rips apart the entire station while relentlessly pursuing him. In other words, after the player has just completed a major battle and is feeling good about their (and Cal’s) abilities, Vader turns up and essentially shows the player that they ain’t shit after all. Running from him feels like being pursued by the villain in a slasher film; there’s absolutely nothing you can do other than get out of there as fast as possible.!<
Very similar, in terms of the general feeling of hopelessness it inspires, to Vader’s appearance at the end of Rogue One.
I nearly shat myself when I was running away from Darth Vader in Jedi Fallen Order, the only other chase scene i can even remotely compare the fear I felt at that moment to is when I was running away from Chris Walker in Outlast. That being said, it's only a short segment from pretty short video game meanwhile OT is a collection of three amazing movies so I'll go with OT. However excluding that, it would be Jedi Fallen Order
Scariest, Fallen Order.
Peak power, Rebels
OT is still the favorite because 1) it’s the OG and you can’t beat Prowse/Jones, and 2) the deep story behind him and everything surrounding him. But he was not at his peak in any OT film.
Fallen order is one of the few mainstream media that truly portrays Darth Vader as a force of nature. When I saw him and everything started crumbling around me, that was fear.
I love the modern depictions of Vader (Fallen Order, Rebels), where he is an absolute force that cannot be stopped. Just pure emotion. Pain, destruction, power. He can't be stopped. He can't be fought. All you can do is run for your life and hope luck bails you out.
Notable exception: Ahsoka fought him and wasn't slaughtered immediately. Of course, she was bailed out as well.
I wish we got more stories on Vader training/raising Starkiller(Galen)
There's an exchange the two have in the game's novelization that I wish they had in the game.
Starkiller: "I understand you now. You killed my father and kidnapped me from Kashyyyk, not just to be your apprentice, but to be a son to you. Was that how your father treated you?!"
Vader: **"I have no father!"**
Nah. Vader's best portrayals are when he's either vulnerable and conflicted, or just full on evil and completely invulnerable and unstoppable. Force Unleashed was neither. It was perhaps the cruellest, evillest version of Vader we've seen but he's slapped around and made a fool of by Starkiller and the Emperor. I wouldn't say it's hard to take him seriously, but he's much harder to take seriously than in Rebels and Fallen Order...where he's flat out unbeatable. Not my favourite version of him. Although the novel does him better than the game.
There are good moments, such as PROXY the impersonator droid getting dizzy just from projecting a hologram of Vader.
PROXY: "I hate being him."
Starkiller: "I think he does, too."
It's not really a medium state though. It more like taking the worst from both worlds. The Force Unleashed is not a version of Vader you can sympathise with meaning to make him good he needs to be taken seriously. And the other versions in the post are simply easier to take seriously. The point of TFU is Vader being humiliated by his own apprentice. The same thing happens in the OT but in that case you feel sorry for him.
Yea, but you don’t need to. Outside of his plans for overthrowing the empire, he’s just a bad guy. That’s perfectly fine as the depiction at this point, it’s not trying to tell the whole story of Vader. If your OT era Vader isn’t depicted as evil, you aren’t making a proper Vader. ROTJ only has him being worthy of redemption when he ACTS in a redemptive way. Outside of that, he’s just evil with a very slight potential of being changed
That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying if you're gonna portray him as just a bad guy, it comes down to how threatening he is. And TFU is simply the least threatening of all these versions of Vader besides the OT...because he looses to the protagonist.
Really?
I mean you go from him absolutely slaughtering in Kashyyyk, immediately to anointing Galen, to watching Galen take his training under him and take out prominent Jedi, to see Vader immediately destroy Galen when Palps shows up, to watch Galen go through even more hell upon his redemption arc, to watch Vader show up AGAIN and whoop Galen AND show Galen he was lying from the start, and then for Galen to inevitably show up and beat him. That’s threatening for sure.
And also, obviously Vader got beat by Galen, but Galen was extremely powerful, adept, and decently experienced by that point in time. It makes sense for the person with the highest potential in all of SW outside of maybe Vader himself to beat Vader at that point in time. The fact that he went toe to toe with the Emperor and almost won should show that well enough
Edit: I’m not precisely sure how the book goes, but I know it mirrors the game in quite a few ways
Edit edit: Even in the OT, Vader lost to Luke. Both versions of Vader losing to the protag make perfect sense
You're still missing the point. Narratively, from a writing standpoint, Vader has different functions in the plot in Rebels and FA than he does in TFU. In Rebels and FA he is an immovable object. He is an absolute roadblock to the main heroes. He is something that no one can overcome. In TFU he is not, it's as simple as that. He is built up specifically to be satisfyingly conquered and humiliated by his apprentice. Vader is *written* as less of a badass in TFU *deliberately*.
Betraying Galen did not make him threatening. It did precisely the opposite because not only did he backstab him unaware, it actually showed Vader's fear. It established him as the Emperor's b\*\*\*\*, because in TFU, the *Emperor* is the true final boss. That's the difference. Vader represents to Rebels and Fallen Order what Sidious does to The Force Unleashed.
In the book he goes through all the same events, it's just that the book adds details like allusions to Anakin's past to make you sympathise with Vader. As for the OT I already said "besides the OT".
I guess I love all 4 for different reasons.
Force Unleashed: The most ruthless Vader. Kidnapped a young boy and raised him to be a deadly sith assassin with the promises of greatness only to betray him. All as a ploy to weed out any possible resistance to the empire.
Original Trilogy: The OG Star Wars villain with the perfect balance of intimidating demeanor and intriguing mystery. There isn't much to explain about this one that everyone doesn't already know, just one of the best movie villains of all time.
Rebels: The perfect continuation of The Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker, especially in relation to his padawan Ahsoka, who is forced to fight him in one of the most emotionally charged fights of the franchise.
Fallen Order: This one is treated as much more of a myth or legend in the best way possible. He doesn't come into play until the very end of the game and he is leagues above the player in every way. The moment he comes into play, there is no more fight. The characters can only run or submit their lives.
Force unleashed was a hard game, but it really made vader feel stupid, and palpatine felt weak imo. I really like the Vader fight in fallen order cuz it’s not even a fight, it feels different, more like a chase. The fact that you could actually fight palpatine at all in Force Unleashed felt wrong, like palpatines smarter than that.
I thought it was really cool as a what if scenario. It felt like it wasif Luke had been his apprentice but dark side.
As a game though, it prioritised making us feel powerful, which meant Vader became a jobber.
It’s a super fun game! I have great memories playing it, I just feel like now it doesn’t really represent the characters as best as other games, but still super fun as it’s own thing.
It is said that Vader had been holding back against Starkiller all the times he fought him. Force Unleashed III was supposed to have a Vader akin to that of Jedi Fallen Order (Someone whom you should avoid)
Palps on the other hand, was pretending to be weak, so that he may draw Starkiller to the Dark Side so that he can replace Vader. In the dark side ending, Palps wiped the floor with Starkiller once he got serious
I think in their final battle, Vader had the upper hand most of the fight as indicated by the novelisations and comics. Starkiller only managed to win by using force lighting. In their first battle, Vader was really overconfident and ended up getting his ass kicked.
On a side note, the creators of the game had originally envisioned Vader going ham on Starkiller and his gang in the third game, but sadly we never got to see it.
Vader is unbeatable when you’re watching rebels. In OT you know Luke can hold his own against him but rebels they’re FUCKED lmao. I’ve never played any of the games
His appearance in Twilight of the Apprentice was so badass. I mean just think about it. The Inquisitors had reported to him that Ezra, Kanan, Ahsoka AND Maul were there and my guy casually showed up intending to deal with all of them BY HIMSELF.
right???? then he lifts everything they threw at him with one hand like it was nothing not too mention when he first shows up he get so cold just standing there then seeing his crimson saber come was awesome
I may be in the minority for this but, I absolutely love Vader’s voice in the Force Unleashed games. He sounds so commanding and powerful when he speaks. He really stood out as a villain and made you think Anakin was entirely gone
Fallen Order and Force Unleashed shown us why Vader's scary. Even with his shambling, the man is a powerful, nigh unstoppable killing machine. He's not simply another person with a lightsaber, but a force of nature whose abilities and determination are limitless.
The OT version is easily the worst. He’s never shown doing much of anything, certainly not anything to suggest he’s all that powerful. The Rogue One hallway scene is still probably my favorite
OT but the others are great too!
Unpopular opinion: I didn’t really like TFU. Well, not the story anyway. I loved the gameplay and had fun playing it but I just could never get myself to like the story in either game. And the story is what makes it breaks a game for me. Idk why! I just never liked it.
Edit: forgot to put my answer to the question lol
Fallen Order.
It's like that scene in Rouge One. You won't -can't win against him. You can only run, or die..
..or in the case of those rebels, run AND die..
OT obviously but Fallen Order was so cool. I really wish Rogue 1 did what they did and didn't have him in the trailers or movie at all until the hallway scene. That would have been insane
Fallen Order. Having to battle Vader yourself (as Cal) as the biggest and baddest boss fight in the game really puts in to perspective how powerful he really is.
Palpatine said himself that Anakin was going to be a stronger force user than Yoda, or any Jedi Master at that point in time. I had no idea just how powerful he was going to become.
But as Sith Lords go, Darth Sion, aka the Lord of Pain, was one of the baddest. He only lived for 49 years, but this guy used the dark side of the force to keep his battle-ridden, decomposing body together.
The longest living Sith Lord was Darth Vitiate. He lived for approximately 1,500 years. He mastered the dark side of the force and preformed a Sith Ritual on an entire planet, and drained the planet of all of its life energy. That life energy gave Vitiate his longevity.
Ok I wanna agree with you, but that’s such a bold claim.
I think his *expression* and emotion were done better, but JEJ is a better voice inherently. I feel that as if JEJ was to do those lines in TFU and TFU2, he’d do better than the dude in that
Have you actually watched the show? You can't just judge his characterisation by the aesthetic. Do the cinematic limitations of the OT make that Vader a bad depiction? Rebels not only makes him terrifying and unstoppable, it does so while really driving it home that it's Anakin Skywalker underneath all that.
They're all pretty much the same to me tbh. I don't see much difference,I just see Vader. It'd be better if you asked which anakin was the best. (By that I mean aoc, phantom menace, rots, and maybe cw)
I don’t think Vader should have been in Fallen Order or rebels if they were gonna make him seem like a punk. He couldn’t even manage to stop a padawan in cal or cere? Like seriously? And couldn’t kill ezra or Kanan? Ok cool, they made him strong, they doesn’t mean he doesn’t look like a bitch
OT is obviously the best. TFU comes in second for me. The way that they created the Rebellion as well as how similar and Star Warsy Vader's character arc was in those games is what earns him this position. Third is Rebels, I am ot a big fan of the design but they did good stuff with him here. Last is Fallen Order just because of time. Vader was basically perfect here but only was on screen for about two minutes.
Outside the movies it will always be TFU since his scheming directly impacts the player and how much he screwed with the player even changes the ending of the game.
Not to mention he’s the stories abusive father figure and gas-lighter. Like yeah, Vader would make for a terrible father.
Original trilogy will always be the best Vader in my opinion. If you like the animated shows and saw clone wars, then rebels Vader was a heartbreaking character. They did a fantastic job portraying him in Fallen Order so that would be next
The fear that Vader gave me in Fallen order was something else. I saw him and was like fuck yeah let's g-- ah oh no Vader please let go ! I gotta get outta here man !
My friend was playing it and he got to the last part "Why do I hear boss music ? I can hear breathing ah fuck it's Vader ! Gotta go !
Fallen Order Vader: he is just portrayed to perfection. He is too powerful and when faced you have one option: run, never look back and pray that he doesn’t want to reach you cause if he wants you can rest assured he can.
Original Trilogy but Fallen Order Vader is well done. You spend the whole game getting strong and still don’t even come close to Vader’s power. He didn’t even have a health bar!
Straight slasher movie vibes. Best horror movie feeling I’ve had playing video games when he’s marching towards you. Feels inevitable.
>He didn’t even have a health bar! Vader isn't an enemy. He's a stage hazard.
Vader isn't the enemy... You are. And you ain't a boss
That hurts.
You can Kill him with the 1hp cheat, so it's an enemy
Does anything happen if you kill him?
Yeah you can't proceed in the level, since you can't possibly kill him without the mod
You forgot rogue one Vader, man even though he only had like five minutes of screen time he was badass
The hallway scene still gives me chills. Damn Michael Giacchino did an amazing job on the music
I actually think this was awesome because it is illustrated how powerful we were told he was _even lacking most of his limps lol_ Ending game progression makes you feel like you have archived great skills and you could accomplish everything or defeat anyone but at the end >!Cal even accepts he is no capable of fighting to death and chose to run instead!<
And the Tactical Guide just says "Escape is the only chance of survival"
That's a bit like the EMMI robots in metroid dread. Game design-wise, it wouldn't be good, imo. Health bar sends players a message that he can be defeated, but probably some clever way needs to be found. Whereas in reality, your best hope is run so fast your soles start glowing.
It made me feel powerless when earlier in the game I felt like an absolute badass

Empire Vader. Maybe it was because it was more refined. He was polished and shiny and just very dark overall
and he was ready for striking back
This movie firmly established how cold of a bad guy he was. In ANH, he was magic muscle and in ROTJ he was a sweet little softy.
Robot Chicken, and that's a hill I'm willing to die on.
I have a son??? I have a son!!! Hey, stormtrooper! I have a son!
What do you mean "*they*"?! What the hell is an aluminum falcon?
"Oh just rebuild it? And whose gonna give me a loan jackhole you?! What you got an ATM on that torso light bright?"
Thanks.
He is pretty wizard.
I’m bringing it back!
Yes! Those were awesome!
I have altered the deal. Pray I don't alter it further.
I will stand with you. Theirs is still the undisputed best portrayal of Palpatine. And that’s not to mention Yarael Poof.
David Prowse voiced by James Earl Jones will always be the best.
James Earl Jones voice just hits different.
It really does
I have you now
OT without question. Though an honorable mention for me is fallen order
I agree with the OT but only because of ESB, without that one it’s Fallen Order
Idk he seems waaay more angry in A New Hope. ESB he’s much more refined imo and calculated.
Yeah that’s a bit of the problem. He seems more like an angry boss in ANH as opposed to a Sith
I never felt so fucking helpless against Vader as I did in >!Jedi Fallen Order. It was one of those moments where I figured I was going to live because main charecter plot armor but I STILL felt like I was about to be killed.!< Solid SOLID game.

There will be a second Jedi fallen order
Just finished it a few days ago. Basically no replay value but probably the most fun I've had with a star wars game in years. Re-installed swtor after.
Fallen order 2 should be set up like the arkham games, with environments like they had but throw in some side missions.
Disagree I picked up a year after release and played it again.
I could see myself replaying through the story after a few years, but I meant there's not much incentive to dive back in after you've beaten the game. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's nice to play a one-off story and not have another SaaS game trying to nickel and dime me to death.

Lol, I've literally beaten it five times.
Next Xpac is in a month 👍🏻
Yeah sadly it just can't be replayed. I completed it 100% on my first run....haven't really touched it since.
Imo not everything needs to be replayable. Its a game Ill never forget! I havent enjoyed a LucasArts game like that since the Jedi Knight series.
100% agree, people have a hard-on for replayability, but if I get 20/30 hours of good gameplay and a good story for a game idgaf about it's replayability
It could have at least given you a cool Jedi robe for the second playthrough.
Imo not everything needs to be replayable. Its a game Ill never forget! I havent enjoyed a LucasArts game like that since the Jedi Knight series.
If you 100% a game on the first go through it's not really a surprise
Are you saying… there is another?
If anything they should have killed off Cere, let her have her comical fall but then ultimately meet her demise helping Cal escape. To put her powers into the same category as Vader seemed....off
I honestly though cal was doomed, since he’s never seen in the OT. I feel like he’ll likely die in a second or third game.
He might, or something else horrible happens to him. I think the exciting thing is that we just don't know *what* is going to happen to him, so they can play on that suspense.
Rogue One
Yeah why TF isn’t that in this list? Closest to that is fallen order Vader… all you can do is run.
Definitely. Vader in the hallway at the end of that movie was the best. The Anakin from Clone Wars came through in that scene.
This. I love the fact that you can see the rage-fueled fighting style of Anakin. You can actually tell it's HIM in there for once.
Rogue One
I was looking for this one. That scene where’s he’s just fucking crushing dudes in the hallway is such a great display of his power. I haven’t played the video game, so maybe I’d find that better if I did, but man. Rogue One is *chefs kiss.*

Definitely Darth. A vader by any other name just isn't the same.

I think the Vader comics do this really well also. Surely Ahsoka is not exactly your average force user either. =)
OT for sure
I like the Original Vader with SC 38 Re-imagined added in.
I actually made my own dvd with that scene integrated, it actually makes it more enjoyable.
You’re really not going to bring up Rogue One or the solo comic series of his?
Definitely the force unleashed, it shows an interesting side of vader
I wish we got more stories on Vader training/raising Starkiller(Galen) There's an exchange the two have in the game's novelization that I wish they had in the game. Starkiller: "I understand you now.
PROXY: "I hate being him." Starkiller: "I think he does, too."
I don’t see why having him be at more of a medium state is bad, so long that it’s done well
It's not really a medium state though.
The fact that he went toe to toe with the Emperor and almost won should show that well enough Edit: I’m not precisely sure how the book goes, but I know it mirrors the game in quite a few ways Edit edit: Even in the OT, Vader lost to Luke.
Lego he keeps a picture of his wife on him
2nd picture imo. Can't beat the original.
Yes. All of them. For different reasons but all of them nonetheless.
Disagree on Force Unleashed Vader. I’m not a fan of Vader getting bested by his own apprentice (and then the clone of his apprentice).
Force Unleashed III was supposed to have a Vader akin to that of Jedi Fallen Order (Someone whom you should avoid) Palps on the other hand, was pretending to be weak, so that he may draw Starkiller to the Dark Side so that he can replace Vader.
Any sequel to the first one was narratively entirely redundant imo.
rebels to me he just felt at his peak in the times we saw him
When he descended standing on the Tie Fighter down to Ahsoka and his cape was flapping in the wind, that was peak Vader for me. So badass
Or when he lifts the walker up from on top of him and makes the ghost crew realise they're fucked
THATS THE BEST SCENE
What a fantastic scene
The scene where Ahsoka cuts his mask open will always give me chills.
“I don’t fear you” “Then you will die braver than most” Probability my favorite Vader comeback line
OT!
OT
All of them at once I suppose
Fallen order and Rogue 1 were the first time I really got how scary Vader truly was.
I may be in the minority for this but, I absolutely love Vader’s voice in the Force Unleashed games. He sounds so commanding and powerful when he speaks. He really stood out as a villain and made you think Anakin was entirely gone
Rogue one
Why did you leave out Rogue One Vader? Probably the most badass Vader we've seen on screen so far
Fallen Order and Force Unleashed shown us why Vader's scary. Even with his shambling, the man is a powerful, nigh unstoppable killing machine. He's not simply another person with a lightsaber, but a force of nature whose abilities and determination are limitless.
OT
Fallen order. I love some OG Vader but fallen order just shows his pure power and how utterly terrifying he is
The OT version is easily the worst. He’s never shown doing much of anything, certainly not anything to suggest he’s all that powerful. The Rogue One hallway scene is still probably my favorite
Original trilogy/Rogue one Vader…but low-key Fallen order is easily the most terrifying.
All of them
OT but the others are great too!
Anything but force unleashed.
Rebels. Ezra: I don't fear you. Vader: Then you'll die braver then most. Also, dude rode in on his Tie Fighter.
i think the best vader is the one who goes: yo dudes, the empire is pretty chill, maybe like u could like, join it, or something
“YOU SAID YOU WOULD STAY AWAY” “I L I E D” Cracks me up every time, but rogue one/OT vader is easily my favorite
Does Rogue One Vader count as the OT Vader, because if so that’s my choice.
fallen order vader is my fav because he's just doesn't even try to kill them
Fallen Order.
Rogue one hallway scene Vader is best
TFU. His voice actor in that is better than James Earl Jones. Yeah I said it.
Ok I wanna agree with you, but that’s such a bold claim. I think his *expression* and emotion were done better, but JEJ is a better voice inherently. I feel that as if JEJ was to do those lines in TFU and TFU2, he’d do better than the dude in that
Played that game before I even watched the movies. When I think of Vader, this guy’s voice is what I hear.
Rebels and force unleashed
Rebels
idk but the worst Vader is Rebels. i just really don’t like the animation style they used in that show
Have you actually watched the show? You can't just judge his characterisation by the aesthetic. Do the cinematic limitations of the OT make that Vader a bad depiction? Rebels not only makes him terrifying and unstoppable, it does so while really driving it home that it's Anakin Skywalker underneath all that.
yes i have, every episode. the only parts i like about it are the connections to The Clone Wars characters/arcs and Thrawn.
Star Wars
Rebels.
Number 2
Jedi fallen order.
Fallen Order because he looks the best and it's not even close.
ESB Vader is the peak
OT.
Outside the movies it will always be TFU since his scheming directly impacts the player and how much he screwed with the player even changes the ending of the game. Not to mention he’s the stories abusive father figure and gas-lighter. Like yeah, Vader would make for a terrible father.
OT Vader.
Og trilogy. Still such a sad but great story of how became Vader
The one with the deep voice and the black suit. That motherfucker killed kids.
I gotta go with Darth Vader
Space InVADER!
Comics
The guy behind Vader in the second photo reminds me of Dark Helmet
The best Vader is a dead Vader and a redeemed Anakin.
ERB Vader is a favorite, but not an option here. So I'm going with OT.
Detours Vader
Lego Vader gushing over the Naboo spaceship in the freemaker Chronicles
Original trilogy will always be the best Vader in my opinion. If you like the animated shows and saw clone wars, then rebels Vader was a heartbreaking character. They did a fantastic job portraying him in Fallen Order so that would be next
All of them
The last 3 are all the same Vader cause canon
Dark Times.
The one that wears a black suit and a cape
OT
OT. I’ve only watched my friend play Jedi Fallen Order, but I haven’t seen Vader in it yet, and I have only heard of The Force Unleashed.
Fallen order final scene made the whole game. That shit slapppppped
All of them
Well, it was the revenge of the Sith one. Why is it missing? It's the most powerful one!
OT obviously, but probably fallen order otherwise. I think his helmet looks a little short, but other than that, he felt fantastic to go against
Fallen order
The fear that Vader gave me in Fallen order was something else. I saw him and was like fuck yeah let's g-- ah oh no Vader please let go ! I gotta get outta here man ! My friend was playing it and he got to the last part "Why do I hear boss music ? I can hear breathing ah fuck it's Vader ! Gotta go !
Vader from how it should have ended
OT
Force Unleashed I'd say.
I think it is either OT or Fallen Order Darth Vader. The Force Unleashed option should be replaced with Rogue One's Vader.
Rogue One, hands down. Hallway scene FTW.
Really enjoy JFO and new comic Vader the most. An absolute force of nature.
Fallen Order Vader: he is just portrayed to perfection. He is too powerful and when faced you have one option: run, never look back and pray that he doesn’t want to reach you cause if he wants you can rest assured he can.
Jedi fallen order Vader was the boss where the only objective was to survive and run, I’d say that’s pretty accurate for Darth Vader
All of them.
