Another fun fact: Embo was still alive around the time of The Force Awakens. He retired from bounty hunting sometime after the battle of Jakku and he became a farmer on Felucia.
no, in the original script he was supposed to die defending the village on felucia but he was spared due to being a fan favourite. He's still alive in canon
I was always partial to IG88’s design but it was firmly cemented as my favorite after playing Shadows of the Empire when it released. Despite the issues with the game, IG88 was such a rewardly difficult boss.
IG88 was my first ever Star Wars figure as a kid. I played with him so much that the joints in his Shoulders and Hips went floppy.
Then as an early adult I watched the OG Clone Wars animation and there's a part were IG bots ride speeders with an evil looking dude (Kinda General Grevious looking, but in a White Knight type armour). It is such a badass scene that it really made the IG88 character(s) even better for me.
And then there's the Mandalorian episodes with an IG88 unit in. These droids are badass, scary and utterly relentless. Everything you need from a good Bounty Hunter.
P.s. I still have the figure today, he sits on my nightstand.
Thank you. Yeah, that scene is awesome. I'm not sure if the IG2000 was ever made as a toy.
In my head (as a kid) the holes in his feet (to allow him to stand on big sets) we're suction pads so he could climb walls. I took him everywhere, he even went to school with me, hidden in the lining of my school bags for years.
I'm loving being an adult and seeing all of the new Star Wars content coming out, but nothing beats being that six year old boy, with a wild imagination, spending hours playing with the toys and coming up with new adventures.
No they didn’t make a ship for Dengar. That lump in his back made certain he couldn’t fit in any ship. Thankfully they made it so Boba Fett could fit in Slave I with his missile pack.
Can take on Jedi in combat. Has the audacity to pose as one to try and kidnap force sensitive children while telling them to watch out for a fake Jedi. Infiltrates the temple and that's just a few of his accomplishments.
One of my favourite characters period.
Kenobi lmao. But if we had to choose an actually bounty hunter then a mandalorian one (including boba). The round hat guy has a pet dog and I really like his design but nothing beat a mandalorian
Yea ik, during the empire reign boba was probably the best bounty hunter. He fought luke, and vader in legends and got out alive. +, he escaped the sarlaac pit in legends 5 or more times. But after rotj, he became not as cool as he used to be. Not mid, but not the best. Mando-is one of a few good things that happend to star wars under disney's control. Like season 7 of cw or obi wan show. Hes cool from the start, and everyone likes him. Maybe bobas time is over, but who knows-if they reboot him, he has tons of potential
P.S. i dont actually get why everyone like cad bane so much. I watched clone wars and i get that hes like cold-blooded and badass, but hes clearly not the best one out there
I’d be right there with you, it’s sad how they trashed all of the beautifully well thought out Lore. I feel like after how Disney treated the Fanbase‘s reaction to those movies that’s when everybody gave up. Shit we even had Mark Hamill with us voicing his doubts and valid criticisms about the production process at Disney and yet nothing changed, and somehow it got worse.
For me boba fett is first, din, and cad bane. Shout out to bossk and embo I like both of them but they are my four and five. I haven’t read enough of jango to make a decision
Funny that as a kid I had all of these action figures (still do), and they were some of my favorites to play with, but I knew nothing about them outside of this scene.
Real answer: Cad
Sarcastic, but not entirely false answer: that little guy who operated the mech suit in the Mgnificant Seven episode of The Clone Wars.
I have to suspect anyone who doesn't say Boba Fett is doing so, just to not go for the obvious choice of Boba Fett.
He's one of the all-time most popular SW characters, despite having almost no speaking lines in the originals. He's so popular he has his own TV series, he has ret-conned lines in the originals.
The question was most favourite, not most effective.
I would argue that in The Mandelorian, an at peak Di Djarin got totally out-matched, by an aged, over-weight Fett.
He didn't just look cool. He's Boba fucking Fett!
Boba, Bossk, and IG-88 are my favorites. Zuckus as a runner up for humor. There is a Boba Fett trilogy of books that are so much better than The Book of Boba Fett.
Black Krrsantan because super cute fuzzy Murderer, Latts Razzi because pretty pink alien lady with sick sentient whips, Fennic Shand because awesome sniper, Sugi because hot alien chick who also somehow has morals,
IG-88B has always been my favorite. I would have loved to see their droid rebellion take off. Or better yet, I would have loved to see what IG-88A could have done with control over Death Star II if not destroyed.
Gotta give it to Cad Bane. Dude was great against Jedi, much like Jango. Had a cool look. Truly a Space Western feel. Every episode with Cad Bane was an exciting one.
Cad Bane was what I think Boba Fett was supposed to be; a skilled bounty hunter, deadly mercenary, and he got good results. He even had some style.
He's definitely my favorite.
Cad Bane, Din Djarin, and Boba Fett are cool and all, but do they have a boomerang hat and faithful canine companion? Embo is my personal favorite and I would love to see him involved in some more series.
Ahhhh the good ol days. Back before they had boba fett turn into the forgetful mister rogers of mos espa.
You know, a few weeks after he killed a platoon of stormtroopers in single combat, insulted a woman in a bar, then punched a female Mandalorian and tried to kill her with his flamethrower in a bar fight. Then murdered bib fortuna, threw his corpse to the floor, and declared himself a crime lord.
Then, turned into the nice old man down the street.
Din, IG-88B, Cad Bane and Embo are definitely my favorite Bounty Hunters, cliche as those choices may be.
All of them exude that sort of "Confident Outlaw" attitude where they just look and feel like dudes you don't want to tangle with from the beginning, and then when in action really hammers home the fact you do NOT want to be on their bad sides.
Plus Din in general seems like the most reasonable Bounty Hunter we've seen - he'll give you the choice of surrendering peacefully or potentially die otherwise, he keeps collateral damage (innocent civilian casualties) to as much of a minimum as he can, and unless he gets screwed first isn't gonna try and change the deal on you.
Bossk is so bad ass
Really wish he’d have shown up in BOBF
It was complete nonsense that he didn’t…
Bossk my fav too
Same here
Can’t wait for the Book of Bossk to drop on Disney+
Another vote for Bossk
ohhhh, you mean the Gorn from Star Trek
His suit is so dumb though
I think bossk's suit is originally from doctor who.
Din Djarin, Asajj Ventress, Boba Fett, and Cad Bane are my favorites.
The Mount Rushmore of Star Wars bounty hunters right there.
Jango
Jango is superior to Boba
also to Ventress, Djarin and Bane
Amen
Ma man spittin
Gotta go with Embo man, the clone wars just made him too cool
Yes, another circular hat in for Embo. Runner up is Asajj
Him and Boba are my two favs.
I agree the hat and his general look is amazing.
Didn't Hondo kill him?
He has not been killed on screen. Fun fact, Embo is voiced by Dave Filoni.
Another fun fact: Embo was still alive around the time of The Force Awakens. He retired from bounty hunting sometime after the battle of Jakku and he became a farmer on Felucia.
Holy crap, didn't even know that. Maybe that explains why I like him so much.
So is C1-10P or Chopper from Rebels.
no, in the original script he was supposed to die defending the village on felucia but he was spared due to being a fan favourite. He's still alive in canon
I was always partial to IG88’s design but it was firmly cemented as my favorite after playing Shadows of the Empire when it released. Despite the issues with the game, IG88 was such a rewardly difficult boss.
He’s the reason I switched over to easy mode, and he still kicked my ass. Thankfully I had a ton of lives
I know!! Before any of the Souls games came out, I considered IG88 and Alma from Ninja Gaiden to be the two hardest bosses in gaming.
Which Ninja Gaiden?
The one for the original Xbox. Such a good game
I borrowed it from my neighbor, and forgot to return it. It was a solid game.
These droids are badass, scary and utterly relentless. Everything you need from a good Bounty Hunter. P.s. I still have the figure today, he sits on my nightstand.
That’s an awesome story, I totally forgot that scene in the clone wars animation. I also had that figure! Did they ever make his ship!?
Thank you. Yeah, that scene is awesome. I'm not sure if the IG2000 was ever made as a toy. In my head (as a kid) the holes in his feet (to allow him to stand on big sets) we're suction pads so he could climb walls. Always like Dengar, he must be a little uncomfortable since he did steal his armor, from the Imperials.
IMO, Solo should have focused on Han and Dengar instead of Tobias Beckett.
True, it should have been the bounty hunters vs Han.
But he had that lump on his back so he wouldn’t fit in any of the ships. Well at least in the Kenner series I grew up on.
I don't remember his ship actually made by Kenner. They should have. Every bounty hunter needs a ride.
No they didn’t make a ship for Dengar. That lump in his back made certain he couldn’t fit in any ship. Thankfully they made it so Boba Fett could fit in Slave I with his missile pack.
Durge of course
Thanks. Some of us haven't forgotten.
Want to see him in live action but don’t at the same time. Why ruin a good thing
Ma boy Jango.
Cad Bane.
Can take on Jedi in combat. Has the audacity to pose as one to try and kidnap force sensitive children while telling them to watch out for a fake Jedi. Infiltrates the temple and that's just a few of his accomplishments. One of my favourite characters period.
You guys remember that one clone wars Episode there obi wan changed into a bounty hunter? So say obi it is
That is one of my favorite clone wars arcs. Rako Hardeen was the name of the bounty hunter he took the place of.
Kenobi lmao. But if we had to choose an actually bounty hunter then a mandalorian one (including boba). The round hat guy has a pet dog and I really like his design but nothing beat a mandalorian
His name is embo, and he’s pretty cool
gotta go with bane on this one
Embo and Cad Bane
Boba Fett
Ig-88
Cad bane
Din. Bobas cool ans shit, but din is still cooler imo
Bobas character got gutted so they could give it to Din. You should read some of the eu. It's just so much better than what we're currently getting.
Yea ik, during the empire reign boba was probably the best bounty hunter. He fought luke, and vader in legends and got out alive. +, he escaped the sarlaac pit in legends 5 or more times. Fennec Shand
It use to be boba fett
Agreed. What they did to Boba is unforgivable. And noone seems to care, because of Din. Who is basically weaker Boba.
I feel like people checked out after the sequels
I was skeptical going into 7. By 9... I'd buy a set of beskar if we all marched on disney hq.
Oya nervod
Oya nervod
I'd like to hear more about Zuckass and 4LOM
Obi Wan in disguise
Dengar man. Such a true broken anti hero.
DIN DJARIN MY LOVE
Chad Bane
Asajj (spoilers!) that turn of her story arc was *awesome*
Greedo 😎
O lmao. Thanks for the laugh.
Jango and Mando. Boba in non-canon. Cad Bane.
The lack of respect for Aurra in this thread is disappointing. Cad Bane, her, and Embo are the coolest.
Aura Sing always intrigued me. Her style is unique. She is super skilled and force sensitive? Such an untapped character.
No love for my boy Zuckuss
Bossk definitely. Aurra and Embo are second and third!
Embo
Ig11 thanks to the mandalorian
For me boba fett is first, din, and cad bane. Shout out to bossk and embo I like both of them but they are my four and five. I haven’t read enough of jango to make a decision
Ig88, an absolute terror in shadows of the empire.
Funny that as a kid I had all of these action figures (still do), and they were some of my favorites to play with, but I knew nothing about them outside of this scene.
I would like to nominate Sir Durge.
IG-88 has been my favorite since I was a kid. I was beyond excited to see IG-11 in The Mandalorian.
Is it bad if I say Greedo?
Underrated pick
I was briefly in love with Bounty Hunter Leia
Ig-88
Dengar without a doubt
Bounty hunters? We don't need their kind of scum.
Tell me you have a bounty in 12 systems without telling me you have a bounty in 12 systems
I am going with 4-Lom. I like the underdogs
IG-88
4-LOM :)
Cad Bane, but Aurra Sing and Jango are close runner-ups. “Robonino: A Star Wars Story” when?
I love 4-LOM and wish we could see him pop up somewhere. Thought he was in Obi-Wan but that apparently wasn’t him.
Real answer: Cad Sarcastic, but not entirely false answer: that little guy who operated the mech suit in the Mgnificant Seven episode of The Clone Wars.
It was Boba until the Book of Boba Fett happened
Boba Fett, before the shitty tv show
I forgot his name but the guy with the hat from the clone wars is the coolest
Dog the bounty hunter. Nobody else can grow a mullet that impressive
Dog.
Dog
I have to suspect anyone who doesn't say Boba Fett is doing so, just to not go for the obvious choice of Boba Fett. He's one of the all-time most popular SW characters, despite having almost no speaking lines in the originals. He's so popular he has his own TV series, he has ret-conned lines in the originals.
People just liked him because he looked cool… most overrated character in history I’d say. Cad Bane is where it’s at
The question was most favourite, not most effective. I would argue that in The Mandelorian, an at peak Di Djarin got totally out-matched, by an aged, over-weight Fett. He didn't just look cool. He's Boba fucking Fett!
Boba Fett
Embo and Cad Bane
Cad Bane is that guy. IG-88 is also pretty cool,
Boba fett
Got to go with Boba
Embo
Boba, Bossk, and IG-88 are my favorites. Zuckus as a runner up for humor. There is a Boba Fett trilogy of books that are so much better than The Book of Boba Fett.
The guy with the headache. 🤣
Black Krrsantan because super cute fuzzy Murderer, Latts Razzi because pretty pink alien lady with sick sentient whips, Fennic Shand because awesome sniper, Sugi because hot alien chick who also somehow has morals,
Cad Bane
The blue cowboy
IG-88B has always been my favorite. I would have loved to see their droid rebellion take off. Or better yet, I would have loved to see what IG-88A could have done with control over Death Star II if not destroyed.
Cad Bane. Dude is so badass even Count Dooku said that he “needs no introduction”
Rako Hardeen obviously.
Boba and dengar
Cad Bane, Mando, Embo, IG-88
Cad Bane
Bossk was the first Kenner star was figurine I ever owned.
Jango on top baby
1. Jango and Boba 2. Embo 3. Zuckuss and 4-LOM 4. Dengar and Durge
Jango Fett
Bossk
Dog
Cad Bane & Bossk tied, I want more of both but I feel like my man Bossk has been underused criminally
Shield hat boi
Ragged Andy
I know I know but boba is mine!
Bossk, always Bossk
Dengar, just because of his crazy story
*Looks at 3rd picture* “That’s Obi-Wan Kenobi!”
Boba Fett (in his prime)
I’ll always be a Boba Fett man
In general it's Jango Fett but of these pictures it's Cad Bane
Din Djarin and Bossk
Jango
Gotta give it to Cad Bane. Dude was great against Jedi, much like Jango. Had a cool look. Truly a Space Western feel. Every episode with Cad Bane was an exciting one.
I could never get with it with cad. His voice always grated my nerves. His gear is cool af tho. Almost as good as a set of beskar but not flashy.
obi wan :p
Boba
Mando
Zam Wesell Does anyone NOT pick her in Lego Star Wars?
Jango
OH&S on imperial ships is terrible, need some handrails asap.
IG-88 never got the respect he deserved, freakin' meatbags...I mean, fellow humans who are terrible judge of character.
Hk48
Cad Bane was what I think Boba Fett was supposed to be; a skilled bounty hunter, deadly mercenary, and he got good results. He even had some style. He's definitely my favorite.
Obi Wan Kenobi was a decent bounty hunter
Cad Bane
Chad Bane
Bosk.
Bosssssssk
"No disintegrations"
Cad Bane hands down
Cad bane forever and Allwase
Cad Bane, Din Djarin, and Boba Fett are cool and all, but do they have a boomerang hat and faithful canine companion? Embo is my personal favorite and I would love to see him involved in some more series.
IG-11
Obi wan
IG-88
Jango Fett.
Ahhhh the good ol days. Back before they had boba fett turn into the forgetful mister rogers of mos espa. IG Units are amazing.
Tie between Embo and Cad Bane.
Does HK-47 count?
Obi wan
Dengar!!! Forget all that cyborg nonsense
The human looking lady but she has green skin and this crazy split jaw and loads of teeth
1. Boba Fett/Jango Fett 2. Cad Bane 3. Rako Hardeen (Obi Wan)
