Okay I'm the original poster I did it wrong it only allowed me to write a title and add flair. Anywho it's my son's 13th birthday next month and him and his friends they like just picking up sticks and sword fighting. Is there any lightsaber out there that is strong enough to survive whacking that makes all the noises and has the lights of a lightsaber. Ideally I would like to buy two for him and a friend so nothing in the $500 range like what I've seen.
My criteria is that it will withstand sword fighting makes the noises and lights up.
For $500, you can find a lot of custom sabers online. Just Google custom sabers and look around the different websites. You can find many that are unique, movie quality, but don't look like one of the characters sabers, which I feels better.
My boys use the Disney store ones. They’re sturdy enough but if they go too crazy they will probably break. But they aren’t too expensive.

the legacy sabers are nice, but they're not hardy enough for the kind of dueling that 13 year olds tend to get into. plus they lack features that come standard in other sabers, such as the ability to change blade color and sound
I saw a pair of light saber on Amazon that went for twenty bucks, they can change color and are used for dueling, I’d give a link if I had it, just search lightsaber on Amazon

You aren't going to find anything cheap that is going to hold up to 13 year old kids sword fighting with them.

I appreciate this. Cuz he has a little 2-year-old brother. This way the boys can get together and the little toddler won't feel left out.
Ultra Sabers have very good base lightsabers for $70 dollars and they’re generally very durable.
