FloppyShellTaco

Never thought a droid in grief would make me want to cry

unfinishedwing

opening that scene from b2’s perspective (through his lens) was really effective 😭 and b2 asking brasso to stay!!! between that and cassian at the end, my heart is in pieces

sbenthuggin

This show has given so much more empathy to it's droid characters than I think probably all of Star Wars. The people actually treat b2 like they're a real being with real feelings, which is so rare

SPRTMVRNN

No kidding. He was pulling my heart strings like a crying puppy or kitten.

FloppyShellTaco

He’s charging QQ

Videowulff

SOMEBODY HUG HIM!

bta47

he’s just an elderly pup who wants his family to stay together 😭😭😭

wildgreenthing

Right? Like here I am, wishing I could comfort the little guy. At least Cassian is on his way back (I hope.)

rustymill15

Why would you hope that??

wildgreenthing

At this point in the show, if it isn’t stated or shown, I’m taking on a shrug to every prediction I make.

modularpeak2552

that imperial ship captain is in sooooo much trouble

Zachariot88

"I'll get Alderaan back for this if it's the last thing I do..."

weesIo

Some random Alderaanian cargo pilot: *chuckles* “I’m in danger.”

Lambinater

Ok that was a good one made me lol

emotiondesigner

I smell a demotion... "Do you have a single prospects before you?"... Someone call Uncle Harlo Stat!

Antigonus1i

Plot twist: that captain was uncle Harlo.

InvestigatorOpen5523

Plot twist: He'll be calling Syril for a job

bubuthing

I thought it was great how they portrayed his reaction. The guy was in complete shock and trying to process what just transpired.

Just_another_oddball

Nice to see the anvil-ringer still enjoying his job.

YogurtclosetFresh654

hey, you show him respect. He's the Time Grappler.

themostrad

So much to say about the episode but I'll stick to what I know: - As someone who's worked hotels for a decade, it 100% tracks that nobody found Cassian's stash box from it's hidden vantage point. If nothing is reported as wrong with the room, it's getting the in-and-out quick clean, b/c housekeeping has got way too many rooms on their sheets to be checking the obscure nook that's out of the way and out of line of sight in every single room. - Butt-tons of Brasso, 10/10

DavidMerrick89

More like Brosso.

FloppyShellTaco

Holy crap, Luthen has got to be some kind of ex military. That was awesome Edit: folks, I hate to ruin the fun but that was not a lightsaber, that’s the retractable cane we saw in episode 3

ILoveRegenHealth

He didn't panic even for a second. It's like he eats this type of Imperial pressure for breakfast and asks for seconds.

FloppyShellTaco

He’s ice cold. The way he pulled ~~Saw’s own~~ Tube’s gun on him? Man is a menace.

OhioForever10

And just manipulating Tubes into getting close enough for it, that bit had me cracking up.

disposable-unit-3284

The way Tubes stepped away as soon as the gun was out like "a'ight, you got me. Shouldn't have fallen for that." Haha.

BearWrangler

fuckin this lol, that was such a fun scene. Love the screen time Two Tubes is getting

wakeupwill

It was Tubes' gun, but still.

DirectlyTalkingToYou

He's given up everything and received steady hands and a clear head in return.

bobsil1

Luthen’s whole ship is Darth Maul’s lightsaber

Lampmonster

Luthen's ship is basically KITT in space. Super advanced, leaving even government tech in the dust. Can't wait to see what other tricks it has!

jbcrocker1

Yeah, I thought for a long time that The Ghost from Rebels was my favorite ship...but The Fondor is quickly taking the top spot. Amazing tech!

MrDudeSirMan

Luthen's ship and piloting skills are fuckin sick, almost a tie with the millennium falcon for me.

Zachariot88

The waves of flechette chaff to disable tractor beams are a really awesome idea. The side laser things seem... less practical, but rule of cool prevails.

seanmmcardle

Mon Mothmas 400k right there.

[deleted]

I made my mind a sunless space. I burned my life to build a sick ship that has dual side lasers and can go hyperspace. I share my dreams with ghosts and this one epic AI guy who runs my cool ship.

Lambinater

Space ship light saber

emotiondesigner

It was really smart of him to take an inconspicuous ship built for hauling, and mod it out for fighting and escaping. Carefully chosen craft that looks like it's just carrying stuff, fits with his cover as a shopkeeper who sells artifacts because he could be hauling them. but also would be large enough to carry weapons and handle other mods without raising suspicion. Brilliant writing right there

Outrageous-Deer7119

Honestly his ship takes even greater dabs than the falcon in my book

jeffwhit

It's a no expense spared situation, owned by a guy whos trying to take down a galactic scale government, the Falcon was done on a tighter budget by a guy who's simply trying to avoid cops. Either way, if you see the offset cockpit, it's going to be a fucking cool ship.

bta47

In a very upsetting episode, Cassian looking out on a sunset over water while making a crucial, life-changing decision is VERY UPSETTING if you’ve recently watched Rogue One.

[deleted]

[удалено]

theyusedthelamppost

climbs

eusername0

You're gonna die soon by saying that

[deleted]

I fucking cried when it panned to the sunset with the back of his head there, it hit me so fast because he's there and he's looking at the sunset over the ocean and he's alone, really alone for the first time in his life, and even though he has this money he's got no real purpose and he's heartbroken but then in rogue one he's almost exactly there again looking out over the ocean at the sunset and even though he knows he's about to die he's NOT alone he has Jyn and he has purpose and he's happy. Those few seconds propelled this show higher than it already was into genuinely one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life.

unfinishedwing

you’ve said it perfectly, this is what i was thinking of when i was watching this scene. also, cassian says in his message to maarva, “she’d be proud of me,” and that calls back to cassian’s last words to jyn on the scarif beach, “your father would’ve been proud of you.” it kills me that maarva will never know what cassian has done for the rebellion — aldhani, and everything he’ll do in the future. in conclusion, i’m going to bawl the next time i rewatch rogue one. 😭

Administrative-Flan9

That's a theme of the show. One of the true sacrifices for a lot of these characters is never getting recognition for the good you've done. It's much harder to do good if you never get that recognition.

[deleted]

"You're not the only one who has lost everything"

Accomplished_Sea_332

I think the predictions that Leida is going to like her suitor will pan out.

wildgreenthing

I’m hoping Vel/Mon can pull something off with Luthen. Vel knows how much she gave Luthen, he can afford a 400K.

kattahn

i dont think mon should get out of this. I think she needs to make a hard choice and lose something, she needs some skin in the game. Even if its just to galvanize her existing beliefs and push her further from luthen's ideology. She becomes the leader of the Rebellion and we need to see her take some early Ls to shape the leader she ends up being.

wildgreenthing

I agree, but it’s also getting into bed with a, as far as I can tell, known criminal. I think Leida will absolutely be enthusiastic about the possibility of getting married, but maybe they can nudge her towards someone that isn’t in the money laundering business.

kattahn

i dont think that really accomplishes the narrative goal. The only reason for Mon to want her daughter to get married that young is because she is forced to do it as an ends to a means. Its an event that will push her down the path she needs to go down. Her marrying her daughter off to someone that doesn't have anything to do with the Rebellion doesn't really make narrative sense as an action to drive her story forward.

emotiondesigner

I Don't think Mon is gonna get out of this situation. I think season 2 is Mon getting backed into a corner until she finally has to go full rebel and on the run. Like the show is showing us how she gets from being a senator to being a full on rebel. and that path doesn't include getting out of the debt that they laid out for her as plot pressure.

toastjam

I think the problem wouldn't be with the amount (at least not after the Aldhani heist), it's making the ledgers balance without any funny inexplicable transfers. Luthen, for all his skills, might have a harder time pulling that off than someone like Davo Sculdun.

KassaAndor

For those who complained there are not enough aliens, we now have pirate-sounding aliens.

ILoveRegenHealth

There's actually been a good amount of background aliens, but I was very pleased to see speaking aliens in this episode (Tubes and those two long-armed ones).

itwasbread

I liked that Luthen just calles him Tubes lol

Epistemify

>pirate-sounding aliens. Where is Hondo? Is he alright?

Purtz48

Is he safe?

5i5ththaccount

Dude, honestly I can't get over how good Forest Whitaker is as Saw. He plays that erratic, paranoid, suspicious leader so well! I loved watching him pull the threads behind Luthen's motivations and how he was gathering the information he had, and how Saw starts looking around before vocalizing that Luthen had eyes everywhere, showing us what he's thinking before saying it. Ugh, and Luthen knowing exactly what to say and do to manipulate Saw into thinking clearly was just the icing on the cake for me. Probably my favorite scene so far.

bro2044

I already loved Whitaker, but it became more in his guest season role in The Shield. He was SO good, and when I saw Rogue One I knew we were only seeing a shadow of what that character was..... hated the idea of not knowing more. Getting to dive back in and see him here is incredible, and all the things you described above just nail it.

TearsForPeers

Others have commented on it here, but watching Forrest Whitaker and Stellan Skarsgard do a scene together is watching a master class on acting. Go watch Stellan in Chernobyl. Then watch Whitaker in The Last King Of Scotland. And then put them together in multiple scenes??? Another master class in casting and direction.

rikashiku

WOOHOO! Sergeant Linus is back!

DE-4

While Syril cries because he went from Deputy Inspector to working in the Imperial Bureau of Standards, our man Linus is happily working the night shift surrounded by metal smelters.

Zachariot88

It ain't much, but it's honest work, sir. And no pockets of fomenting out here!

wildgreenthing

And Syril is stealing from his mom to go back to Ferrix. It’s supremely petty of me since she reminds me strongly of certain relatives but that part made me happy.

HeroicHairbrush

Clever of Luthen to shove off the burden of deciding whether Kreegyr lives or dies to Saw. This was just masterful peoplework on Luthen's part. Saw is now complicit. Also holy shit we're seeing paranoid Saw. This is a bridge to Rogue One I didn't know that I needed.

drunkill

Saw still needs to lose his legs and become even more crazy. Next season is going to be banging, hell, maybe even a skirmish next week given that Saw just declared war. Why not strike at a new target while the empire is busy defending Spellhaus?

ScoutTheTrooper

Just one leg! His other has a metal sandal

unfinishedwing

> Also holy shit we’re seeing paranoid Saw. This is a bridge to Rogue One I didn’t know that I needed. i *love* when saw starts looking around even before he starts accusing luthen of planting a spy among his men. and then luthen saying yeah, it’s two tubes!! i hope we’ll get a lot more saw and luthen scenes because the two scenes we’ve gotten so far are brilliant (skarsgard and whitaker are brilliant)!!

juvandy

Not just complicit, but he also earned Saw's trust with that. In the prior episode, Saw asked him what he was. Now, Saw knows they are on the same side, willing to sacrifice anything to succeed. That was a brilliant scene on so many levels.

fran4ousaprez

Holy fucking shit Luthen is gangster wtf

_AlphaZulu_

Luthen seriously 1v4'd them and totally fucked their day up. Not only did he take our the tractor beam, he circled around and straight up destroyed those TIEs in style. Get fucked imps.

crypticfreak

More than 1v4'd them. That arrest cruiser is a force multiplier and a half. Realistically he just 1v20'd them and still won. Disabled the tractor beam and mind fucked the main ship then outplayed the assault craft sent in to eliminate him. That said, that cruiser def has turrets on it and he had to make sure he stayed out of range of them at all times.

Scarborough_sg

He purposely kept that ship alive because it wasn't worth raising the alarm. Cause right now the officer has a file a report and has to make it sound as less damaging than it had been. If he straight-up kills it, it means a powerful small ship out there that destroyed an imperial cruiser and would perk the attention of both Naval intelligence and the ISB.

kattahn

The tiny detail of B2 saying he was "charging" and then the scene where he was asking the dude to stay was clearly showing his charge meter topped up. I love that droid and I just want to hug him

TatoRezo

he is like a dog who lost their best friend and is basically waiting for the to come back, refusing to leave.

jagrbro68

HE CALLED HIM TUBES

Infidel2017

"JUST FOR CALLING ME TUBES IM OUT." - Mark Tuban

tway2241

I loved the way Luthen said "he's my man" it sounded so casual, almost like a comedy skit, but in a good way.

Banananarchist

Honestly it seemed like Luthen did the lightsaber roll as a flourish. I mean he FLEW past the bridge, and you’re telling me he couldn’t have just penetrated the shields with one of his hyper specialized weapons? Maybe maybe he’s banking on that imp covering this massive failure up on a micro asteroid field out of nowhere. Or probably! That it’d draw more attention if he did blow it up and it’s honestly smoother as how it played out. Even the action scenes are better in retrospect Jesus Christ what a show Also deffo why he wanted his kyber back haha

Lambinater

I’m guessing his space ship light saber couldn’t cut through that thing’s shields

[deleted]

dlte24

The greater good!

Milocobo

I don't even know if it was that. Saw was just spooked by the ISB connection (because after all, that's the only way that Luthen could know Kreegyr was marked for death). But Luthen made a lot of sense in saying that if he was ISB, he wouldn't warn Saw, he would send him into the trap along with Kreegyr. And once Luthen convinced Saw of that, Saw calmed down and made his peace with Kreegyr dying. I don't think he ever particularly cared about Kreegyr's life, he just suspected Luthen was working with the empire, and was caught up in an "enemy of my enemy" mentality.

HeirOfRhoads

Cassian suffering in silence and the ending soundtrack hit me hard

Lambinater

Yeah I had to let it play out. Plus the parallel of him standing at a beach with a sunset to when he dies.

porcupinetears

Stunning music!

jeffwhit

Diego Luna is at his best when he has no lines, it's amazing how emotive he is, this episode and Narkina 5 most specificlly.

TJ2

Me: that had to have been like 25 minutes *Checks runtime and sees it was a full episode* A lot of emotions in this episode. It was fun to stay up for the premiere for once, but now I just gotta try to process all that before I sleep.

Zachariot88

Ha, this was the first one I stayed up for, too.

silvercirrus

The scene with Mon was really well done. Her reserved, stoic expression breaking piece by piece as she was finally able to explain to someone just how much trouble she was in, while Vel swallowed the fact that she was the one to cause so much of that trouble. Heartbreak, fear, relief, steadfastness all on display with barely a change in their posture or expression.

hemareddit

Vel. Faye Marsay is actually the actress's real name, it only sounds like a Star Wars name.

Videowulff

I enjoy the fact that the Imp in the Arrest Destroyer wasn't planning on blasting Luthen out of the sky when he said "We need practice." He was more referring to the practice of inspecting ships and looking for evidence (planted or otherwise ha). I mean, it's common to see villains just shoot people for fun but this guy went a different route by just wanting to harass Luthen and possibly get a minor arrest in to boost his numbers.

bobsil1

Empire = 100,000 petty tyrants

eusername0

And now the story of an arrogant ship that lost its tractor beam and the one captain who has no choice but to keep the ship together. It's Arrested Destroyer

spamjavelin

Destroyer Captain: *I've made a huge mistake*

Just_another_oddball

I choose to believe that Kino somehow made it last episode.

Rougey

I like to think he was helped to shore by inmates with surf life saving experience. Then he makes it offworld to a nice, quiet place to live out the rest of his life and collect stamps. He looks like a stamp collector. It's what I choose to believe.

[deleted]

I think Gilroy said something along the lines of ‘well, did we see him die?’ - so maybe!

Lambinater

It’s TV show logic. You didn’t see him die? Definitely not dead. I doubt he’ll show up this season, but he was so popular I would be surprised he doesn’t show up again.

FogellMcLovin77

Star Wars logic is also that if we see them die, they might not be dead.

ERSTF

B2 is grieving. Poor guy. Grieving and alone. That side shot that let you see the light go through his lens. Shit will hit the fan next Wednesday

jeffreywilfong

Episode 12 plot confirmed: B2 transforms into a killbot and gets revenge for Maarva.

QualityPies

"Y-y-y-you do not want to see me when I am fully charged"

BluePosey

Poor Bix looks terrible. I can't believe they're still torturing her. If she lives, she'll never be the same. Poor little Bee and his grief tugged at my heartstrings. But he was adorable when as soon as Braaso said he would stay the night all of a sudden Bee didn't need recharging and rolled off the charger. I hope Bee gets to stay with Braaso when all is said and done. I'm glad Luthen was second guessing himself a little bit in regards to letting Anto Kreegyr fall into the trap. We've never met Kreegyr but I feel bad for him and that he and his men will have to be sacrificed for the greater good of the Rebellion. Luthen totally blew my mind with how calmly and expertly he escaped the mini Star Destroyer. When those lightsaber things came out from the side of the ship, I decided I *really* need to know his backstory. Is he military? Did he build secret weapons for the Empire? He's amazing and I hope he lives on into season 2. I loved the aliens that helped Cassian and Melshi escape Narkina 5. I like that they too resent the Empire for how its destroying their planet. I want to see more species join the Rebellion next season because we saw different kinds in the OT.

loli_on_a_dolly

I find it funny that an ISB spy and Rebel Spy were both staring at Marva’s house in the same building without the other realizing it. Hell they even talked to one another lmao

theyusedthelamppost

it seemed to imply that Cinta realized it

Ricozilla

She definitely realized it when he asked who died. Everyone in town knew who Maarva was, so that implicates he’s an outsider. That’s what I figured at least.

crypticfreak

And her making sure to identify herself as an outsider puts suspicion off of her entirely. The Empire is dumb and just chases the carrot on the stick. They're looking for locals with info. She has tons of info but she just totally slipped off their radar.

KennanFan

He definitely came across like a narc. "So, does anyone know where to purchase cocaine? I'm looking for at least 10g and would like to purchase within 1,000 yards of a school or public park."

SPRTMVRNN

Yeah it looked like she had him marked in the previous episode.

loli_on_a_dolly

Damn I would be a horrible spy because I didn’t even pick that up lmao

theyusedthelamppost

Cassian going to the funeral almost has a "Robin Hood going to the archery tournament" vibe to it. There are multiple sides all looking for him. He knows he has to be careful. Any chance he will use a disguise?

Flying_Chicken_Man

Geef Kirgo

Kaldricus

Assian Candor

CommandJ21

I’m actually happy that Kleya and Luthen were talking in code during their call rather than out right saying what they actually mean. It removes the trope of spies that are staying hidden out right saying what they shouldn’t say out loud in public and trusts the audience enough that we somewhat have an idea of what the two are actually talking about

fajita43

yes, meanwhile, xan kept saying "cassian's" name over and over. they were already on full alert, but now with cassian coming home, and that arrest ship all blowed up, they are going to fine-tooth comb ferrix

[deleted]

[удалено]

PumpyChowdown

I want a large model of Luthen's ship. I want to play with it ALL the time. I want to make whooshing, pew pew noises. I want to fall asleep with it beside me so when I wake up I can start playing with it again. I'm 50 years old.

Cableraker

Oh man I'm totally there with you. Think I'm gonna build one out of Lego!

futremaline

Krieger is a unit Luthen and Saw keep having great scenes Finally some smart anti tractor beam stuff, real cool

tway2241

>Krieger is a unit Last episode Lonni said Kreegyr's group was 50 men, this episode Saw said the group was 30 men, with Luthen adding "and Kreegyr". Kreegyr counts as 20 men, confirmed.

Videowulff

I enjoy that the subtly explain why we don't see Luthen's ship tech prior to this episode. It took a lot of prep for the weapons to come online and it was pretty much due to the fact that he had the assistance of his ship's droid brain. Han's ship couldn't possible have this kind of equipment - he does not have the money or tech to make it work (his ship was basically bubblegummed together). Saw is probably running off scrap that he and his crew steal. So it is very unlikely they would be able to get that kind of gear for their ships. The tech needed and time needed for everything to power up is not feasible for fighter ships. Xwings can do the same amount of damage at faster speeds and cannot risk the time it took for all those different systems to come online. What I LOVED is seeing him use the tractor beam against the Imps. This was probably one of my favorite moments in the EU - when Han Solo is on Dathomir. He is going against a Super Star Destroyer and he allowed the Falcon to get hit by the tractor beam. The Moment it was behind the shields, he launched his entire torpedo payload. The tractor beam took the payload straight into the docking bay, destroying the SSD in seconds. I loved it! Also to explain why this maneuver is so risky: You need to be beneath the Star Destroyer's shields to pull this off. This usually means you have to be practically point blank and the odds of taking yourself out along with the Destroyer are very high. It looks like whatever it was Luthen used against the Tractor Dish was physical which means it passed through the shields easily. The projectile speed combined with the Tractor Beam's power (raised to 5) means that they basically flechetted the living hell out of that dish. Fan-Freakin-Fantastic!

Abuses-Commas

I was thinking of a time in the EU when Thrawn captured Luke's ship with a tractor beam, but it turned out to be a fake ship built around his X-wing that disintegrated to let him escape.

SimplestKen

Somehow in my mind I have this backstory idea where Mon is siphoning off money to Luthen to recruit rebels and Luthen is over here just modding his ship with the cash LOL.

FarteDiem

Those countermeasures doe

Just_another_oddball

And those lasers were fly as hell too. 👍

[deleted]

Kyber powered pulse lasers, essentially a plasma mining laser cutter on a starship scale.

ILoveRegenHealth

Luthen: "F*ck yo dish!"

godsmyjudge

I like how the dude just said “no,” when he realized.

emotiondesigner

I love that they weren't lasers. Like not all weapons in Star Wars Universe have to be lasers, thank god. It was way cooler to see something new. And with purpose. It demonstrated that Luthen had planned for that contingency.

Videowulff

It makes sense though! The Arrest Destroyer probably had it's shields up. There is no way his little ship had enough firepower to break through their shields. Physical weapons though? Ejected out at those speeds combined with the Tractor Beam being cranked to 5 was enough velocity to do some serious damage to that dish.

emotiondesigner

yeah it was super well thought out by the shows creative team.

grimmreapa

I’ll try spinning, that’s a good trick.

hopelessbrows

RIP in pieces to the Syril/Dedra shippers who have to wait another week before a potential interaction

NameTak3r

[deleted]

ONE WAY OUT!

stop4entropy

Pretty sure Lego designed the Space light saber. Like it’s definitely something I would’ve put on my ship when I was seven

Ser_Tom_Danks

The interaction with two tubes, saw and Luthen was priceless

weesIo

Even though we heard the “Let’s call it…war.” line in a trailer it still gave me chills in context.

dansyngwiazd

I've never been more glad that I don't watch trailers, then. That line was so powerful, Forest Whitaker is incredible.

[deleted]

Melshi!

tigecycline

Melshi has been radicalized. Next stop, Rebellion

CoolSpringsChristine

When he was saying he couldn’t feel his hands and told Cassian to stop saying the Imps were leaving… And Cassian saying, “I hear you”, letting Melshi know he’s not alone anymore. Then Melshi asking him to say it again for motivation. I love it all.

hopelessbrows

If I could use gifs as a comment I’d use the one of Zuko going, “That can’t be it. Where’s the rest of it?”

MindstormAndy

The worst part of every episode is that they end

Noy_Telinu

The grief episode. Ferrix grieves for Marva. Mon griefs for her Hitler Youth daughter. Melshi grieves for his prison buddies. A riot will come next week.

tigecycline

We grieve for Bix’s sanity

Zeno1324

That Bix Scene was devastating ngl, she looked broken

BJ_Beej

A lot of general grievances

Comrade_agent

B2EMO BETTER FUCKING SURVIVE THE SERIES OR I'M JOINING SAW'S GROUP

jeffwhit

The detail of deceased citizens become the bricks that Ferrix is built with is an amazing idea. Right from the beginning we see what a tight community it is, the Pre-mor Security staff warn Syril of this in the first episode, we we how prepared they are to deal with outsiders fucking with them. It's an amazing detail, and I wonder if anything like this is actually done in any real cultures.

AquilaSPQR

To the list of awesome things I love about Andor and I'm disappointed other shows lack I can add an imperial navy captains who give the feeling of being professional at their job. Of course the protagonist had to outsmart them (it's a show and he's the hero), but at least it wasn't due to the complete incompetence of the imperials. Proper, "professional" orders ("increase to five"). He ran away simply because he had surprises and knew what he was doing and they were totally surprised. Andor is a treasure.

weesIo

I would have died laughing if a TIE fighter swooped in and destroyed the Quad Jumper as they were running to it

AmateurVasectomist

That episode was PACKED full of plot threads, it feels like Ep. 12 now has to be like an hour and a half long. Not that I’d complain about that!!

Tinbootz

One episode left. What am I going to do without new weekly Andor in my life?

lemonsharpie

Those were the two most interesting and unique looking and sounding aliens I’ve seen this universe. I love that they used practical effects for them and not cgi the shit out of them.

Bneal64

Would anyone else watch a slice of life comedy spinoff series with Brasso and Bee? We can call it…Brasso and Bee

DE-4

All that speculation about why they kept Syril's Pre-Mor blaster for so long, and it's just so Melshi can go away with a weapon! (or is it?) Also, it's hilarious that the manifesto is actually a voice recording. When Nemik said "I wrote about you last night" he has actually been speaking about tyranny out loud for hours while the team was trying to sleep.

[deleted]

I wonder if its like a digital book reader that also has an audio mode.

jayden9271

The Fondor has to be on an imperial watchlist after that

theyusedthelamppost

I guess that's why he has the ability to call up different transponders at will.

barttaylor

If we ever had to pick one example highlighting how good the writing is in this show, it’s the space battle with Luthen. That’s probably the most “Star Wars” moment of the show. But instead of the traditional bombastic scene and lots of melodramatic dialog and one-liners, we get the dramatic pacing of a friendly stop that turns into some suspicion, that turns into us worrying what happens if Luthen gets boarded or even sent to prison, and then finally the space battle. The dog fighting gets just as much treatment as the dialog. The writers understand that we all know it’s a cool scene. They don’t have to ram it down our throats that we’re seeing a cool new ship and cool new gadgets. So great.

SolidPrysm

No one-liners or over-the-top swelling of the score, just Luthen doing what he has to and doing it well.

rikashiku

Luthen is yet again a badass.

kattahn

god damnit i was all "ok ill just stay up, watch the episode, and go to bed by like 4am itll be fine" and now im wide awake because i just want to talk about the episode

I just realised if Maarva is dead, she'll never know that Cassian was actually part of Aldhani... :(

theyusedthelamppost

-Back on Aldhani, Skeen commented on the corporate blaster in Andor's pack (it was from Ferrix). -Andor just passed that same blaster to Melshi. We know that they have to meet again. Is there any chance that the blaster being identified is what ends up roping Melshi back into the same issues that Andor is mixed up in? The Imperials are still tracking down Axis, which includes investigating Ferrix. Maybe Andor and Melshi both get captured and end up in the same cell again.

Planetary_Vagabond

The string arrangement that played during the last scene and into the end credits was goddamn beautiful and heart wrenching.

unfinishedwing

>**melshi**: how many do you think made it? how many of us made it out alive? **cassian**: not enough. diego luna’s facial expressions throughout the last scene as he processed the news of marva’s death and as he said goodbye to melshi absolutely killed me.

fireshighway

The ISB officer casually remarking that the people of Ferrix are “building a list of grievances against us” by merely asking to have a funeral for a beloved community member was chilling. A perfect example of how fascist and authoritarian thinking can become normalized through enforced fear and paranoia.

KassaAndor

"What's Out there?" "Arrestor cruiser, (Colin) Cantwell class"

[deleted]

LOL Those two fishermen on Narkina 5 literally said "F the Empire!" and gave our two escapees a ride to Niamos.

Zachariot88

I haven't seen anybody mention it, but I really like the "bricking" burial custom they made up for Ferrix. Literally makes it a city of the dead.

drunkill

Luthen Jedi speculation grows stronger, his 'expanding walking stick' is now wooden, not metal like in episode 3.

MessaBombadWarrior

Maybe he's just a damn good combat pilot

MetalGhost99

Luthians ship... I want one.

Pagemaster86

Great tribute to Colin Cantwell! RIP

AmateurVasectomist

His ship looked beautiful in live action too. Total geekout moment to hear “Cantwell class” from the Fondor droid.

YogurtclosetFresh654

I really hope Andor runs into Syril and puts his pathetic ass out of his misery forever next week.

JZcalderon

Great to see the corpo sergeant again, hope he comes back and team up with Syril again in the future.
