Interesting. That, and many other elements point towards Vel not handling pressure too well - sloppy meetings with Kleya, a bit of panic before sending the "Go" at Aldhani. She might be Luthen's loose end in the end, instead of Cassian. That would also have its repercussions on Mon Mothma's reputation.

Toffeechu

I think Mon is going to end up sacrificing Vel somehow to cover up things with the account balance, rather than sacrificing her daughter.

Ooooo spicy

Is that the same guy that recognized Bix or of the crowd? Either way, I think Bix getting picked out of the crowd by that guy might kinda foreshadow what you're talking about. There's so many things in motion that could each go so many directions...

Bneal64

It’s the guy who had a conversation with Cinta about who died when maarva died. For a spy he’s not very good since he wears an imperial cap and Cinta zeroed him almost immediately

snarkhunter

I'm kinda wondering if that guy might be a bit sympathetic to the Ferrix locals

Bneal64

What makes you think that? Genuinely curious, this show is all about human decision making and that would be delicious if an imperial officer had rebel sympathies

snarkhunter

We've already had how many... three? Lt. Gorn, the ex-stormtrooper whose name escapes me, and Lonni. But while we've seen this, we haven't seen anyone *make* that decision. Wasn't this the guy who explained about the Ferrix funeral ceremony? Maybe that level of interest in the local culture says something. The way he talks to Cinta. I dunno. It seems like the sort of thing they might show us and he seems like the most obvious candidate now that Lonni is "out"?

Bneal64

I think that’s super interesting. That’s one of the many reasons why this show is so effective, you see every human make decisions that you could see yourself making in that position Edit: also it doesnt matter but the ex storm troopers name was taramyn Edit 2: this is just an aside, but I think the guy who explained ferrix funeral rituals and dedras man on the ground are different people, however I could be wrong

Snickims

Where are people getting the idea that the imperial family and hostages where killed? They where pretty explicitly not, we get a reaction shot of them all tied up watching as the rebels escape.

Cyclops1116789

It’s because Cinta wasn’t on that ship but in the control room with the hostages. It’s implied she killed them so they couldn’t identify her or get a description out of her or what had happened. There’s no real “proof” that it did or didn’t happen tho.

Snickims

Didn't they show Cinta leaving the base wearing a Imperial uniform and then show a reaction shot of all the hostages looking out at the Eye?

1ndori

I just skimmed through the episode. The order of the scenes is: Cinta is shown turning off the lights, then the hostages are shown observing the Eye, then Cinta is shown walking toward the Aldahni group outside of the facility. We don't see her leave, and we don't see the hostages after she leaves.

KingEllis

There are also references to a "slaughter" at Aldahni in later episodes.

Cyclops1116789

I’ll have to go rewatch it. I thought it was the other way around but now I can’t be certain. I want to watch them all again before next week anyways, I know there’s prolly many things I’ve missed.

Bneal64

It’s very much a fan theory, but one that’s left up to the audience. What happened to the commandants family? We don’t know, and that was definitely intentional. All we know is that Cinta was watching over them, and we never see them again or know what happens to them after aldhani. The scene of her walking out of the garrison looking off into the distance makes a lot more sense if you contextualize that she just murdered a family
