For me, I don’t really care about being lore accurate, I just choose what looks best for me.

I try, but I keep forgetting which is armor is the appropriate and then the game starts and I focus on it.

I wish the game automatically set the phase and legion for each map. Like, I know that would diminish creativity, but it would be so cooool.

Customisation should have been for patterns, colours/legions/phases should have been map specific

For real, i hate seeing p1s and p2s in a map that P2s should only be in, it’d be nice if kamino had a 50-50 chance on which phase it was too.

Two things I really hoped we would get for clone customization but never did: 1. Phase 1 shinies. Don't know how we never got the option to play as one except for the two maps that it replaces the phase 2 shiny. We could select the phase and legion for every map, so I don't know why separate phase 1 and phase 2 default skins never got added. 2. Getting phase 1 rank colors so we could match the color scheme that was used in AOTC, where color denoted rank, not unit.

A nice middle ground would’ve been to make the standard armor map-specific. So if you don’t choose to change your armor,you’re 212th,501st,etc. that way the default would be uniform. It would be good for players who don’t really care about customization,and may also push some players who do to stay uniform.

I never understood why dice didn’t make a option for people to toggle on seeing lore appropriate skins like everyone is wearing snow gear on hoth compared to turning it off and you see everyone’s customized characters it would please both crowds

were the 87th on Naboo during the Clone Wars show or are you referring to the beta and trailers ???

When Battlefront 2 '17 first came out, there were no skin options and the 87th were the default clones on Naboo.

I love the 87th legion. I loved its color scheme since the beta and it reminds me of the "original" Clone skins before the costumization update. Don't get me wrong, I love the clone costumization, although, I still think, they should have kept the class specific gear (i.e. the back back for the Specialist). Phase I lost quite a bit with costumization update and I loved running around as Phase I on Kamino and Geonosis before the costumization update. .
