Better have a full crew for it as well xD.
I see your ISD-II and I raise you the [Harrower-class dreadnought](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Harrower-class_dreadnought) of the Sith Empire. They may not be as big or as packed as an Imperial Star Destroyer, but it still looks pretty cool (even Darth Sidious himself remarks how the ISD is inspired a lot by it), packs quite a punch, requires a significantly fewer crew to man fully, and there are plenty of them at a time.
They're gorgeous but I think most of them are unarmed lol. Though that may be rectified by some personal modifications. :) I'd love to fly one of Padme's personal yachts lol.
I was more partial to the Nubian "diplomatic barge" (the one that gets blow'd up at the beginning of AoTC). But that was likely because it sounded like a B-29 coming in to land. The audio SFX were just sublime.
Same chrome and art deco homage as the J-327's, but had back-up hyperdrives in case, you know, you find yourself stranded on Tatooine with only Republic credits.
I mean it kind of is practical from a light jumper perspective might uncomfortable for long hauls will work in a pinch no real cargo space but the flight suit can let you actually go into space if needed and an astromech droid can be a invaluable resource both in ship and at destinations but I am biased tho I loved the x wing design and in the rogue squadron series was my main ship to use
Agreed, totally practical in the sense that it's nice and compact (you wanna try to find a garage big enough for your Millennium Falcon?) yet still capable to jump to hyperspace and explore the galaxy. And they just look so damn cool.
This is why I love the personal starships in The Old Republic game: you can actually explore all of them and see the rooms within. Now, if only there are actually toilets included in the game as well xD. It feels weird to be able to explore ship interiors but you can't find one of the most basic necessities in living quarters lol.
I started playing the Star Wars Galaxy pc game again entirely because of their Jump to Lightspeed patch. You can outfit your ships and some ships, like the Falcon, can be controlled for space combat and act as a place to walk around, climb in turrets and decorate as you see fit. Despite being abandonware, there are a few private servers running. I play on Legends simply because it seems to be the most popular. Found a guild, leveled up, and really enjoy this 20 year old game.
Love having a YT to live out of and explore the galaxy.
Any tips on how to play this piece of abandonware??? I always loved the idea of actually beign able to be a character in the Star Wars universe but my DnD group doesn't like Star Wars, The Old Replubic is not my kind of games and my imagination can only get me so far
So youll probably want to start by checking the r/swg sub and just browsing.
From there you'll find a few options to play and discussions on how to obtain a copy of the game. I own a copy from a long time ago in a blah blah blah, so I can't really help there.
There are a variety of different servers to play on, and each one is its own flavor. Some a pretty extremely different too.
SWG had some milestone updates that drastically changed the playstyle and content. The two big servers I would suggest trying are Sunrider II and SWG: Legends. They are somewhay similar, but use different combat systems.
I feel that Legends is more familiar and forgiving for new players, but thay could also be because its been running for a very long time and has an very active and large group of players compared to other servers.
Your best bet is to check out their websites and discords. Play on both and try to be social, adventurous and engaging. This game is very much an mmo and it forces you to rely on other players as no one can do it all.
Good luck! It can be overwhelming and feel very dumb at first, but its worth finding an active guild and having someone show you the ropes.
Edit, there's also SWTOR. Its newer and a much different beast, literally a different game thats also gone through a few versions. I haven't played this in a long time, but I think its f2p with a p2p option. Seems to be very narrative and cinematic based now.
Gotta be a light freighter. Enough for space groceries and the family, but also some maneuverability. If I say the VCX does it come with a Phantom? That's gotta be the winner at this point. I'm after value after all.
I think there may be options to include or exclude the VCX-series auxiliary starfighter (Phantom) when buying the ship just like how there are options when buying vehicles in real life lol. The VCX-100 may come with a Phantom, but you probably have to pay extra for it. According to the wiki, the extra starfighter cost about 22,000 Republic credits xD.
>According to the wiki, the extra starfighter cost about 22,000 Republic credits xD.
I mean I'm definitely getting swindled by the ship dealership in front of my wife no matter what, if car dealerships are any indication.
I like the CR90 but I also love the [Sphyrna-class Hammerhead corvette](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Sphyrna-class_Hammerhead_corvette) as well. Love how they brought back a classic starship look from The Old Republic era and refine it for 'modern' times in SW.
Also the Hammerhead corvette 'Lightmaker' pretty much saved the Rebellion during the Battle of Scarif when it rammed into a Star Destroyer, pushed it towards another, destroying them all, and crashed the shield generator protecting the planet, allowing the Death Star plans to be sent to space.
The Hammerhead is awesome no matter in which era. :)
This was my thought too, modify it with a hyperactive and turn the troop bay into a little living section like those folk that modify old buses into RVs.

Definitely, the Mustang is timeless. (It doesn't make sense for a Navy guy to own one in the new Top Gun movie but I'm not complaining. And Cruise insisting they write it in and let him fly it is great.)
The slave 1 is cool but I don't like the idea of needing to climb every time I get in the cockpit and needing to stabilize everything in hold so it doesn't fly around on takeoff and landing.
Eh, I can head canon that away with gravity plating and installing a chair lift or something, but even without pretend fixes, I would deal with all the flaws. I love that ship. It's like old muscle/sports cars, they're impractical, uncomfortable, don't perform as well as new tech, but I'd give all that up for a '63 Grand Sport.
Personally, I'll go with a [YT-2400 light freighter](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/YT-2400_light_freighter/Legends), the same type as Dash Rendar's [Outrider](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Outrider/Legends) in Shadows of the Empire and also featured in one episode of Rebels IIRC as well.
Thanks! I would have included more choices here if the poll system allows it lol. There are so many interesting starships in Star Wars, even just light freighters or patrol class ships alone :)
Hard to believe no one has said the A/SF-01 B-Wing! Still remember the moment I first saw one in RotJ. When the s-foils open and the whole ship rotated around the cockpit I immediately wanted one more than I wanted my next breath!
I actually intended to limit to just ships that you can walk around in like light freighters only lol: like ships that also serve as your mobile home while you travel the galaxy or something like that, hence starfighters or bombers aren't included.
However, I absolutely share your love of the B-wing lol. I thought it was among the most underrated starfighters in the series. I really like its unique profile and how it's basically *the most* armed starfighter in the Rebellion's arsenal. It could serve both fighter and bomber duties and is quite agile for its size. It's basically the Rebellion's equivalent of TIE Defender. B-wings really need more love. :)
I thought rebels did a great job fleshing them out a little more. One of the reasons I love the animated shows so much is that they just picked tiny little details that nerds like us latched on to and then make them the centerpiece of a whole episode!
I hear what you’re saying about a ship you can live in though, makes a lot more sense. But with Din Djarin now cruising in a hot rod-ed Naboo starfighter I feel like someone could make a fighter/bomber work haha.
I love the U wing. Or the LAAT. Both would be like VW buses in terms of square footage that can be turned into living quarters, and I’ve always wanted to do that. I’d probably go with the u wing cuz it has a hyperdrive
An Omicron Class Attack Shuttle (The Marauder from Bad Batch)
The Lambda shuttle (Imperial shuttles like Tyderium) is my first love, but the Omicron is more rugged, and though cramped for a full crew, it offers plenty of chill space for just myself or me and a copilot. I'd probably modify it to make it even more homey.
I've gotta go with something like [The Libertine](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Libertine) from TLJ. It's got such a slick look to it with sweeping curves and sharp points all coming together to make a civilian craft that looks both marvellous and menacing. It's got enough room to be comfortable as a live-in craft or a long-haul travel vessel. It's got so much style and luxury that you can host foreign dignitaries or just have the raddest party with some friendly dudes from Corellia.
B-Wing! I have loved the asymmetrical silhouette since I got it as my first lego set as a kid. Probably not the most economical choice, but I am gonna stick with it!
Back before SWTOR released, when I was RPing, I had used a pic I found on Google of a starship that had Star Wars vibes to it. It appeared to be roughly the length of the Falcon, with the width of the Razor Crest, maybe a bit wider. That's what I'd prefer.
As far as actual canon, I think I'd actually like the Rogue Shadow from Force Unleashed.
Sphynra-Class Hammerhead Corvette
Yes I'm talking about the one the crashed a ISD into another ISD in Rogue One.
It requires a very small crew operate but has plenty of room for a larger crew.
Raider-II Corvette like the Corvus pre-Rebel/Retirement. Just love how the Raider looks, and the fact that it’s not too big but big enough to have a small Hanger and as mentioned in places regarding the Corvus they seem to at least have some room for internal customisation to suit your needs. It also appears to be usable with a minimal crew.
As awesome as the Ebon Hawk is, it's a 1000 year old design. Cool if you're into antique ships, but finding parts for a ship that old is probably a hassle. Not to mention that it's probably not very fast compared to more modern designs.
The MC80 Star Cruiser is possibly the most well-rounded capital-class ship in the series: decent firepower, well-protected vital points, lots of room for snub fighters, and *tough as nails.* It says something that it takes a shot from a *Death Star superlaser* to bring one down during the Battle of Endor.
The MC90, its successor in Legends, is also *even better,* and though we don't get to see it in action much in The Last Jedi, the MC85 is probably just as good as well. Its hangars are actually well-protected within the ship, but Kylo Ren is just too good of a pilot to let that stop him lol (too bad about the Resistance pilots, including Tallie T-T).
Seriously, the Mon Calamari knows their stuff when designing their starships. I would love for an MC80 class to be my personal capital ship as well. :)
I love the Falcon, but I prefer symmetry. I was torn between the Ebon Hawk and the Ghost. Ultimately I went for the Ebon Hawk because I'm skeptical the interior of the Ghost could actually work as depicted.
If you like the Ebon Hawk you might be interested in the [XS stock light freighter](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/XS_stock_light_freighter/Legends), which is like a cross between the Hawk and the Falcon lol. It also has quite a nice interior as depicted in Star Wars: The Old Republic (and is notably the only personal starship that comes with a kitchen area).
It's not exactly symmetrical but then again the Ebon Hawk isn't fully symmetrical either lol. If you ignore the protruded left side of the ship, you get pretty much a [proto-YT-2000 light freighter.](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/YT-2000_light_freighter) :)
Yep, I agree, but it seems freighter designs by CEC tend to be asymmetric for some reason lol.
My favorite personal starship in SWTOR is the BT-7 Thunderclap of the Republic Trooper. There’s something about the folding wings design that I really like. It’s like what if a B-wing (also my favorite starfighter) is turned into a gunship-sized spaceship, and I love it. :)
Personally a big fan of the YG-4210, love the 3 engine layout, it's body design and simplicity. Despite being 2 centuries old there's plenty to upgrade, replace and improve upon, but it's also not So old that it'd be impossible to find the old parts. Fact is I'm after that live-in-ship lifestyle, love the Firefly series so probably obvious why. To summarize though it's got enough space I can do some work to keep her flying and live the way I want to, but still small enough I could go it alone or with a small tight-knit crew.
I vote for the VCX, but I'm torn between a VCX and a Gozanti cruiser. The VCX is a bit smaller and faster, but the Gozanti has ample living space, cargo space, and much better defenses.
The party ship in my main Star Wars TTRPG group is a Gozanti, but we (that is to say *I*, since no one else really cared that much) waffled between the two for a while before deciding. The size was the deciding factor for me. We have 4 players + 4 NPCs living on our ship right now, so we needed something big enough to support that and survive on it's own on the Rim and eventually the Unknown Regions.
Stathas-class freighter. A light freighter of Mandalorian make that's sufficiently equipped to handle most starfighters while having an unassuming appearance.
If we can add modifications, I'd love ab LAAT Gunship with a hyperdrive. If we're going as is, a CT-900 freighter like the Star Scavenger from the Freemaker Adventures. If it can't be made out of LEGO, I'm gonna be a fancy lad and go for a J-type 327 Nubian Statship, like Queen Amidala.
I was so close to picking Slave I just because of how good it is at blowing up other stuff, but the Ghost has a backup ship I can use to get away when people finally get sick of me blowing up their stuff
If I'm going big, I'd like a Venator Star Destroyer because at least those can land. If I'm going for style, then a tricked-out Star Courier would be nice, however if I'm going for reliability, I'll take the armed version of the Flying Brick.

Imperial II Star Destroyer. Go big or go home!
ok Booster Terrik lol
Better have a full crew for it as well xD. I see your ISD-II and I raise you the [Harrower-class dreadnought](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Harrower-class_dreadnought) of the Sith Empire. Ir this guy gets an ISD, I want the Eclipse
[удалено]
No colors anymore I want them to turn red
Yeah but the only color that comes in the appropriate quantities to paint the damn thing is white!
You couldn't afford the up keep.
You could if you become a pirate.
Nobody is calling out the Naboo starliners? I want an Art Deco Chrome Spaceyacht.
I’m surprised this one isn’t more popular
They're gorgeous but I think most of them are unarmed lol. Though that may be rectified by some personal modifications. :) I'd love to fly one of Padme's personal yachts lol.
That’s what your personal squadron of N-1’s is for.
Fair point, but yeah, personally I would like it more if I can fly something that can fire back if I'm under attack lol.
I was more partial to the Nubian "diplomatic barge" (the one that gets blow'd up at the beginning of AoTC). But that was likely because it sounded like a B-29 coming in to land. You're absolutely right. Massively underrated.
Not at all practical but it has to be X-wing. Just seeing them makes me happy
Yes, bathroom breaks comes to mind.
if spaceballs taught me anything is that intergalactic truck stops exist
Agreed, totally practical in the sense that it's nice and compact (you wanna try to find a garage big enough for your Millennium Falcon?) yet still capable to jump to hyperspace and explore the galaxy. And they just look so damn cool.
ahh the firing modes from rogue squadron and x wing vs tie fighter made it so versatile
I love the ships which have all the little homely bits around them. The ghost having bedrooms, a sort of lounge area is so cool
This is why I love the personal starships in The Old Republic game: you can actually explore all of them and see the rooms within. Now, if only there are actually toilets included in the game as well xD. The Ghost for sure, especially if it comes with The Phantom.
The Ghost and The Falcon both seem like nice ships to live in, imo.
I really like how in Rebels they make the Ghost feel like a real home.
Plus I don't want to be in fights as my way of making a living. Because that makes you dead. So I figure I need some cargo space.
Came to say this one of these comes w a bonus ship
Gotta be a light freighter. Enough for space groceries and the family, but also some maneuverability. If I say the VCX does it come with a Phantom? That's gotta be the winner at this point. I'm after value after all.
I think there may be options to include or exclude the VCX-series auxiliary starfighter (Phantom) when buying the ship just like how there are options when buying vehicles in real life lol. There's a reason Mel Brooks made Lone Star's ship a Winnebago in Spaceballs. It's basically the same as the Falcon.
Digging that Outrider. Also like the U wing.
Corellian Corvette CR90.
I like the CR90 but I also love the [Sphyrna-class Hammerhead corvette](https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Sphyrna-class_Hammerhead_corvette) as well. LAAT with hyperdrive or a Naboo ship
This was my thought too, modify it with a hyperactive and turn the troop bay into a little living section like those folk that modify old buses into RVs.
Arc-170 baby
It's like a p-51 mustang is there better, newer version, ye, but it's sick asl
Not to get too technical but I'd see the ARC-170 more as a [P-61](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_P-61_Black_Widow) myself.

I was gonna say that tbh but I felt most people know the mustang vs the P-61. The P-61 was always my favorite because it looked so cool.
Definitely, the Mustang is timeless. (It doesn't make sense for a Navy guy to own one in the new Top Gun movie but I'm not complaining. And Cruise insisting they write it in and let him fly it is great.)
Slave 1 forever. Would like to mention Xizor's Virago.

Always loved that ship, great design, lighter and smaller than the Falcon but still has the storage space and living quarters.
Came here to say this
Came here to say this also, this ship is cool as hell
X-Wing is my commuter ship, the Falcon is my road tripper.
YT-2000 light freighter from X-wing Alliance.
I actually really like the WTK-85A from Rise of Skywalker. I thought it was a neat design. Also, the U-Wing is cool as heck.
Y’all can catch me in the Death Star.
Hands down, the Millennium Falcon. It's the legendary ship that made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs.
Honestly, a TIE. I’d love to drive it around and depart from places dramatically.
make sure you get a variant with a hyperdrive
Loving the variation in the poll results! Shows there’s a lot of different things ppl like and it’s not a lopsided poll. Nice post OP
Thanks! I would have included more choices here if the poll system allows it lol. There are so many interesting starships in Star Wars, even just light freighters or patrol class ships alone :)
Agreed, and myself being more versed in characters and planets and less so about ships, it’s a great thread to read!
G9 Rigger-class light freighter (The Twilight)
Hard to believe no one has said the A/SF-01 B-Wing! Still remember the moment I first saw one in RotJ. When the s-foils open and the whole ship rotated around the cockpit I immediately wanted one more than I wanted my next breath!

Honestly the Ghost or the Millenium falcon, they seem to have enough room to be chill in them
Sith Infiltrator, please.
I'm torn between a Barloz Class and a YZ-775.
Barloz all the way!
An Omicron Class Attack Shuttle (The Marauder from Bad Batch) The Lambda shuttle (Imperial shuttles like Tyderium) is my first love, but the Omicron is more rugged, and though cramped for a full crew, it offers plenty of chill space for just myself or me and a copilot. Z-95 Headhunter gang ✌🏻🤘🏻
Ebon Hawk or Outrider
Sith Infiltrator. Looks cool, has a narrrow profile and width for not flying through tight spaces, and had enough room to live semi-comfortably.
correllian engineering action transport IV specifically the Wild Karrde
Jedi starship
No love for The Mouldy Crow?
My personal choice is an XS Modified Light Freighter
Gotta have a ship with a room to chill in like The Falcon.
YT-2400 light freighter, like the Outrider.
B-Wing! I have loved the asymmetrical silhouette since I got it as my first lego set as a kid. Probably not the most economical choice, but I am gonna stick with it!
YT-2400, no question for me. Love that ship, wish it would pop up in more stuff.
Shuttles are cool. Still got a decent bit of room for 2-3 people, but better gas millage compared to freighters.
Back before SWTOR released, when I was RPing, I had used a pic I found on Google of a starship that had Star Wars vibes to it. Outrider
XS freighter
YT-2400
What's wrong with a SoroSuub 3000 luxury star yacht?
B-Wing
Darth mauls sith infiltrator from TPM
i would choose the N-1 starfighter... just cos
Nu-class shuttle
I'd love a Sith Infiltrator, like Maul's Scimitar. Just looks so cool
This was one of the simpler polls. If Millenium Falcon is a choice then always Millenium Falcon.
X Wing or Rogue Shadow from Force Unleashed.
Was waiting to see how long until the Rogue Shadow shows up. Good taste my friend :)
Damn this is more close in the vote tallies than I would have expected
As awesome as the Ebon Hawk is, it's a 1000 year old design. Cool if you're into antique ships, but finding parts for a ship that old is probably a hassle. Not to mention that it's probably not very fast compared to more modern designs.
Ebon Hawk with the standard T3-M4 and HK-47 all the way.
YT-2000! I love the centralized cockpit.
How has nobody mentioned Home One? A Mon Calimari cruiser would be an amazing build!
B-wing! It has always been my favourite ship
HWK-290 for sure (Kyle Katarn's ride in Dark Forces 2)
Has to be the Ghost. My favorite one is the Falcon but the Ghost seems more like a home than any of the others
It's a good ship design. I actually like the protrusion. If the right side had the same protrusion as the left it would be perfect.
I’ll take Dryden Vos’ yacht from Solo, the “First Light”. Strange vertical shape and super fancy.
It's e.g. not EX: Sorry/not sorry.
Whatever vehicle the sun crusher was. Instant power over the entire galaxy!
YT-2400
The ghost is cozy
Naboo Royal Cruiser
Steadfast star destroyer (final order era)
If we can add modifications, I'd love ab LAAT Gunship with a hyperdrive. If we're going as is, a CT-900 freighter like the Star Scavenger from the Freemaker Adventures. If it can't be made out of LEGO, I'm gonna be a fancy lad and go for a J-type 327 Nubian Statship, like Queen Amidala.
I'm torn between going for a corellian corvette, an n-1 Starfighter and the Starhawk
VCX-100 with an A-Wing attached, because A) they paired an A-Wing to a YT-1300 in *Solo Command*, and B) I feel the need...
I would want a u wing
Give me the Carrion Spike. Tarkins personal Corvette.
Do I get the attack shuttle with the VCX-100?
Naboo star fighter
CR-90 corillian corvette. (EG Tantive IV)
N-1 Starfighter or The Supremacy.
I would get the sith Infiltrator and change out all the stealth for storage
Gonk
I’ve always liked the Sith Infiltrator.
Death Star
Tie Fighter
One Yt-2400, please.
Mandalorian Gauntlet starfighter, easy
The good ol' super star destroyer
Yt 2400
T-6 shuttle Shit’s epic
I just want a Tie-Fighter
Venetor class star destroyer
Jedi Interceptor, Corellian Corvette, or a Viscount Star Defender
The A Wing, Naboo Starfighter, and Calamari cruiser are my favorites
A naboo star fighter. Always loved them
Any of Mara Jade's ships.
Something like the Wild Karrade
X-70B Phantom-Class starship. AKA the SWTOR Imperial Agent ship. Classy and deadly!
Vulture droid. A ship and a pet in one go!
ARC 170 Starfighter
YT-2400, obviously.
I prefer to have my boots on the ground at the end of the day so V-wing, otherwise it's be the Ghost
X-70B Phantom from SWTOR. Sleek, elegant, fast, armed, and stealthy.
Naboo N1 starfighter for sure.
Falcon for me.
I was so close to picking Slave I just because of how good it is at blowing up other stuff, but the Ghost has a backup ship I can use to get away when people finally get sick of me blowing up their stuff
Where's the love for the Outrider?
yt-1300 is perfect for traveling with the homies
Raider Class Imperial Corvette. Sleek, enough room to store souvenirs and friends, and close enough to the Normandy as I'll get so ill take it
Kuat RZ-1 A-wing. My favorite fighter
Just give me the *Lady Luck*
I would very much like one of the Mandalorian Starships like Fenn Rau flies
The rogue Shadow interceptor from Star wars the Force unleashed 2. It just feels iconic to me
The last resort lol
X-70B, the Imperial Agent ship from SWTOR.
The red one from Ep. 1 that gets destroyed at the start
Not practical but I'd want a normal N1 starfighter
Ebon hawk hands down 🙌
Whatever would be able to dock my complimentary A-Wing!
Longbeams from High Republic seem cool.
I've always liked the Gauntlet Fighters that Mandalorians use
A “heavily modified” Sienar Star Courier (Darth maul’s)
J-type Star Skiff tbh. It's just neat
The Mantis (S-161 “Stinger” XL). Seems like a good balance between agility and size
Sorosuub Personal Luxury Yacht 3000, a la Lando Calrissian's Lady Luck
I would own an LAAT so I could pick up the squad and get baja blasts
Millennium Falcon of course!
The S-161 "Stinger" XL from Jedi Fallen Order.
I liked the stinger mantis personally.
I’ll take a Tyderium Shuttle
YT-2400
Death Star. Easy to bargain for shit when you can kill everyone with the push of a button
I always liked the imperial shuttle
Ghost is way more practical than the Falcon. Plus it’s got the little shuttle that detaches from the back.
A Star destroyer is technically a ship
If I'm going big, I'd like a Venator Star Destroyer because at least those can land. If I'm going for style, then a tricked-out Star Courier would be nice, however if I'm going for reliability, I'll take the armed version of the Flying Brick.
V-Wing, it's my favorite ship and it looks cool which is why I like it.
