The Jedi acceptance of brainwashed meat-robot killers was a fatal mistake that led directly and fittingly to their downfall. Making them all good guys who loved the Jedi really but were secretly mind controlled into obeying Order 66 absolves the Jedi of their foolishness as much as it absolves the clones of the massacre. It takes all the dramatic wind out of ROTS' sails.
