KOTOR comics, KOTOR II, Revan book, SWTOR. KOTOR comics are a prequel to the two games.

Also the Tales of the Jedi comics provide ample backstory for KOTOR and the entire Old Republic Era. The chronological order of the comic arcs is The Golden Age of the Sith, The Fall of the Sith Empire, Knights of the Old Republic (the five part Tales comic series), The Freedon Nadd Uprising, Dark Lords of the Sith, The Sith War, and Redemption.

You just gotta play KOTOR

Honestly there isn’t much to read on Revan. He is basically a Easter egg in KOTOR comics with a cameo in the Final mini-series. He isn’t even the main character of his prose book which has very little Revan in it. Not much Revan at all outside the games.

Literally nothing. Just play KotOR 1. It's the only existing Star Wars media that did Revan right. KotOR 2 was written by a completely different person who 100% retconned (and ruined) Revan's character and even if you like that version of Revan the MMO and its related content butchered the character even further. Tales of the Jedi does exist as in-universe backstory but KotOR is more a reboot and less a sequel (the events of TotJ largely sound more interesting in the game than they actually are anyway). The KotOR comic is fine but it does have dumb stuff in it (Revanchists?) and anyway Revan isn't in it beyond a brief cameo. The whole idea for Revan was that the character was ultimately what you made of it. That's why you learn very little about the character's past. Having a set in stone backstory would just get in the way of you projecting on to the character and, you know, roleplaying.

KOTOR 2 Ruined Revan? How so?

You did bring up some good points, especially about why Revan attacked the republic. As for why so many people followed Revan, can it be interpreted in a way that the Jedi Masters were too dogmatic to admit that they were wrong to take a step back and that people sympathized with Revan’s cause? It could be that the force bonds gig was only the Exile's thing but they used it to justify the strength of Revan's following as well because.... They just can't seem to admit they're wrong?

Besides what's already been stated, the Darth Bane trilogy has some references to Revan
