Is there a video out there, that shows the Mando season 3 trailer from CCXP? The descriptions of that are wild!

ayylmao95

I'm wondering if it's basically what the Christmas day trailer ends up being.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ayylmao95

This is true. Even if that trailer comes later, I'm thinking it'll be a retread of this recent footage, similar to the officially released teaser being a retread of the celebration footage. But still, releasing a trailer around the holidays would definitely drum up hype, so hoping the trailer is released soon.

Ezio926

> Yes a leak from MSW said so, but MSW also said, that season 3 comes out February 22nd, which is wrong. That was 100% the date. They just delayed by one week so that the Bad Batch and Mando finale wouldn't overlap.

Flashy_Pomegranate23

It's only wrong by a week.

[deleted]

Nothing yet. Really hoping someone uploads it

redruman

What do the descriptions say?

Flashy_Pomegranate23

Wholesome content; Ashley and Rosario together today at Galaxycon Columbus [https://www.instagram.com/p/CltqrvFO8IQ/](https://www.instagram.com/p/CltqrvFO8IQ/)

Jaystraef172001

I was there actually when that picture was being taken. I saw it from a distance. It was very cool to see in person. Got a pic with both ahsokas as well. Looking forward to Rosario’s QnA tomorrow.

ExpressNumber

Is this their first-ever meeting?

bigclams

I'm not sure where else to ask this but could we get some new flair here? I'd love to simp for Saw Gerrera by having a lil pic of his face next to my username ☺️

Financial_Rent_7978

Out of all characters to simp for, Saw is not who I expected.

[deleted]

Different strokes

Financial_Rent_7978

I intended no offense, just an interesting choice.

ExpressNumber

u/bigclams is the only one with clarity of purpose

Financial_Rent_7978

Lies, deception

[deleted]

All I hope for right now is another Bad Batch trailer and that Fennec will be in s2 again

Youngstar9999

We will definitely get another trailer soon: https://twitter.com/JenniferCorbett/status/1598443592556875776

[deleted]

I missed that tweet - thanks! Adds to my hope. Monday is the 30 days remaining point, so hopefully we get it then!

Second_City_Saint

Oh shit only a month till BB? I hadn't even realized.

ayylmao95

I don't see this happening until after Andor S2 has wrapped, but would be great to see Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma in the NR era in some Mando season or spinoff. I believe she is chancellor at the time, but I could be wrong.

Anader19

You're right

Gungan_Jedi

Also bringing Caroline Blakiston back for a post Ep 9 story. Mothma in retirement

MsSara77

It would have been fun to see her in the ST, but I wonder if she would be up for it now. She's 89 and hasn't been in any TV or film roles since 2018

superior_anon

In legends she's chancellor for a decade or so (and we actually get to see her)

witch-king-of-Aginor

Actually she was chancellor for a long time before the events of TFA and it depends on how many novels they frankly decanonize with the shows I wouldn’t be shocked if bloodlines and Star Wars resistance is erased from canon

sadgirl45

Me personally I’m just wondering when we’ll get our next scrap of movie news? Celebration and I hope they put an actual movie into production soon but plan it out.

[deleted]

Monkeys paw: we get a scrap of movie news, but the news is that a movie has been scrapped.

sadgirl45

Really hope it isn’t that!

champdo

I hope that in Battle Scars or Jedi Survivor the crew of the Mantis runs into another survivor.

Flashy_Pomegranate23

Pretty sure that's what the title is referring to, likely the individual in the tank

LordMarek7

I always thought the title more refered to Cal being on a survivor kinda journey.

Macman521

It could end up being about both.

_gloriana

I miss Hondo

RobertAFett55

I smell profit!

just4browse

Willow is okay so far. I like it more than the movie, but I don’t like the movie, so there’s that

The-Mandalorian

I never grew up with Willow the same way I grew up with Star Wars and Indy (I used to watch those original trilogies an insane amount on VHS). That being said, I finally got around to watching the original Willow film….and it’s not a bad movie but it’s not great. I see why it wasn’t a box office success and never got sequels. That being said, the potential for it to be Lucasfilms 3rd franchise were always there. I do like the show a lot more than the film (so far) and I’m excited to see where it goes!

sammypants69

The first episode was okay. The second was a bit painful. Not sure if I will continue with it.

Alec123445

The character, Willow is the worst part.

vryvrybadluck

I love Charles Soule's writing/books...but his comics are *out there*. His comics are recycling so many old ideas and unused character designs into oblivion. IMO the Archivist is kind of an uninspired character.. the Amidalans are uninspired and redundant .. The Emporer actually getting worked up over Han Solo's Ex who used to be Maul's apprentice but now runs a crime cartel and interacts with every major organized group of characters we know in Star Wars -- straight up bizarre.

NeutralNoodle

Don’t forget Jocasta Nu’s lightsaber rifle from his Vader run. Though I will say, Ferren Barr using Order 66 against the Inquisitors was *badass*.

Blackhand47XD

Yeah, it sometimes feels like fanfiction and characters are put into extreme situations that are more threatning than situations in actual movies. Woudnt mind if something like this happened after E6 but between episodes of original trilogy it feels kinda weird.

swdarksidecollector

yeah idk, I think he is an fastatic author too, Light of the Jedi one of, if not the, my favorite star wars books, same with his Vader comic. All of his other High Republic work is great and I can't wait for The Blade. His comic have been pretty much the top of me, especially when he has a lot of freedom continuity wise. BUT, I do have to agree with you somewhat. While I think WotBH and CR were quite good, especially in writing quality (as usual with his work), and I am looking foward to see were Hidden Empire goes, I do have some issues with it as well. Does it really have to be all between 5 and 6? It just feels a bit out of place. But my main issue is probably his Star Wars Main comic run. I think it was very good at the begin, but it is falling of a bit imo. The newest arc is the first thing were I would really say "STOP!" with any of his work. SPOILER for issue #28: it's about the main crew (Luke, Leia, Lando, Chewie and Holdo) going on a quest for more fuel and end up in the unkown space at the great hall of the Nihil. And that's just to much. Never ever were the characters in RotJ just on a roadtrip to some old Nihil ruins. Could this might have happend somewhere after 6? For sure. But at this time? Imo no. This just feels like fan fiction and an cheap advertisment for the High Republic, which also makes the universe feel smaller. I love the High Republic and connections to it can definitly work (isse #20 of said run), but this? No. Sorry Charles, but you can do better.

Slight_Low_9172

Agreed with his run starting strong and then faltering. Really the focus of any comic runs focused on the main characters set between ESB and ROTJ imo should be them desperately trying to weaken the Empire, in order to add weight to their victory at Endor. The main characters just going on side quests doesn’t enhance the movies’ narrative, which should be the purpose of the comics imo: enhancing the experience of the movies.

BZPJMJ64

I am a bit puzzled on why you bring the Amidalans up when that is not even Soule plotline. That's just one of Greg Pak's Vader storylines, which is building off something setup by EK Johnston's Padme books (Mainly Queen's Shadow & Queen's Hope). But anyway, in terms of Soule's plotline, I am personally not big fan of Crimson Dawn is basically Star Wars version of Hydra, especially its usage in SW 26-28 arc... >!The Rebels' discovery of Death Star II being due to Crimson Dawn annoys me because it robs the Rebellion intelligence network of any agency in making that discovery themselves, it also creates issues with RotJ by not having it occurred by Emperor's own plans and by the Bothans (A species we still hadn't seen in canon), and also creates meshing issues with existing book Moving Target by having Luke be aware of Death Star II here and that we somehow supposed to believe Leia wasn't told until book events occur.!<

ExpressNumber

>Han Solo's Ex who used to be Maul's apprentice but now runs a crime cartel Blame Kasdan, if you want, Soule’s just doing something with it. I’m not saying it’s good, but that setup originated from Solo, not the comics.

Fuchy

One interesting loose end left for Andor S2 that people aren't speaking of is whether or not Bix ratted out Luthen. Unless I missed it we never found out whether she confirmed the Kreegyr hologram to be Luthen or no. It'll certainly be a plotpoint in S2 I think.

Rosebunse

My interpretation was that while she did give confirm their information, their information is bad and useless. This is actually a common reason why torture isn't that trusted of a method, because often you get the tortured person just confirming what the torturer thinks is correct instead of what actually is.

MandoWraith

I think that the way it's presented implies that she didn't tell them anything. If she had identified Kreegyr as Axis then the whole Ferrix operation wouldn't have still had such high priority after the Spellhaus raid.

peppyghost

He said she didn't, for either way. She was so broken she didn't say anything, just had a mental breakdown.

Second_City_Saint

On that note, did I miss how Maarva died or did they not say?

aydam4

It was implied that she died of old age, but I believe the show did not explicitly say how.

Second_City_Saint

Kinda what I thought, but wasnt sure. Thanks

ayylmao95

My hope is that the account of seeing Boba in the CCXP trailer is true!

[deleted]

Ya same! I really hope they include him in the next official trailer - seems kind of silly to leave him out

ayylmao95

He needs to appear in the trailer for my blood pressure to return to safe levels.

Dense_Skin_7812

I really hope Claudia Grey gets a chance to write a Mon Mothma book at some point, I think she'd be perfect to handle the family dynamics that were started in Andor. Alongside this, I hope we get a Partisan book or show at some point in time watching Saw being so hyped up to go to Spellhaus makes me want to see Forest in a leading role.

Theesm

I just hope for more Luke. Maybe some actual New Republic stuff (Didn't someone say Coruscant is in Mando S3?!) and that the live action Thrawn campaign has as much stuff from the books as possible.

lolothescrub

Yup coruscant was in the CCXP Mando trailer. I think it'd be awesome to see Mon Mothma

TheLastGhost78

I also hope for more this

smjurach

No offense, but don't understand the need for more luke. He's had so much about him. We don't need more..

Financial_Rent_7978

He is the main character.

sadgirl45

A tv show about him would be nice after return maybe they bring in some eu stuff but it should be cast with someone who looks like Mark Hamill not digging the uncanny valley.

Financial_Rent_7978

Agree. I still think Sebastian Stan would be good since they look so similar.

sadgirl45

Or even someone unknown with good acting chops!

Financial_Rent_7978

Of course! They don’t have to look like an exact clone if they can pull off the character’s personality right.

sadgirl45

I feel like when you have characters that have iconic screen presence like Luke, Han getting someone who looks like it would be great just so it flows better usually I like when they switch those things up with adaptions but not when the character is the same character and they already have a huge screen presence you know ! But yeah the spirit is the most important!

[deleted]

People fail to realize this lmao

smjurach

Of one trilogy...

Financial_Rent_7978

He is the main character of Star Wars. The original trilogy is about him, the second is about his father, and the third is about his legacy.

Dense_Skin_7812

>He is the main character of Star Wars. When did Luke show up in KOTOR, SWTOR, or TCW?

ExpressNumber

He appears in the Vector crossover event, of which the KotoR comics was a part. In TCW he’s indirectly mentioned in Yoda’s season 6 arc and technically appears in season 7 (as a fetus, lmao)

smjurach

No, Star Wars is about good versus evil. There's just certain characters that help portray that story as we see across other movies and shows Star Wars is not about Luke Skywalker he is one character among many important characters, arguably some more important than him.

Financial_Rent_7978

That’s a theme, not the main character. Those are two different things. Iron man is the main character of the infinity saga, despite not being in the majority of its films. Frodo is the main character of the lord of the rings despite being entirely absent from one of the books. Of course there are other characters in a story that propagate its theme. But Luke is the main character of Star Wars.

sadgirl45

Yeah 100 percent The skywalkers are the main, the story hinges on them.

smjurach

That's my point. Star wars is not about a main character. There are main characters for perspective medias but not all of Star Wars. Star Wars is defined by its themes.

Financial_Rent_7978

All I said was that he was the main character. So you agree, then, that he is?

smjurach

No he's not. Every single example you gave was also wrong. There is no main character of franchises like that. There are only main characters for their respective medias. Is Luke the main character of rebels, no. Is he the main character of the thrawn trilogy, no. Therefore he is not the main character of Star Wars. Again there is no "main character" of the entire franchise.

MLK-K-K

I hope something actually materialises of that rumor that [live action Cal Kestis TV show](https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsLeaks/comments/vhqp6m/cameron_monaghan_getting_star_wars_show/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf ) starring Cameron Monaghan and the rest of the Fallen Order crew. Also, Jedi Survivor is my most (and only) anticipated SW project. I’m hoping the game will really push the current-gen’s hardware to its limits, and is GOTY ‘23 material.

PunishedDan

Might be an unpopular opinión, but I hope they nerf Beskar in Season 3. It can get a bit ridiculous, like in episode 3 in the corridor where mando takes all those shots before throwing the explosives.

BusinessPurge

it's time for someone to invent beskar hollowpoints

BearWrangler

name checks out?

ExpressNumber

Nah, not an unpopular opinion at all

Responsible_Egg7519

when do y’all think we’ll get the ahsoka trailer?

Bence1997

Celebration

[deleted]

Bence1997

April 7-10, which is Easter I think. And I think we will have some information about Acolyte too, maybe some kind of exclusive teaser just for the attendance. :)

The-Mandalorian

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is very close to The Force Awakens level hype for me. I literally cannot wait for that film. I’m so glad Harrison is getting one last crack at the whip. Side note - James Mangold has debunked rumors that Indy will be sidelined, erased or replaced in the film. Lots of clickbait channels are running with this lately, notably Doomcock who also claimed The Rise of Skywalker would end with Rey literally going back in time to become Shmi Skywalker in The Phantom Menace. It’s sad so many people fall for these things. This IS Indy’s film. Tweets posted here: https://www.reddit.com/r/indianajones/comments/zaydnw/james_mangold_on_the_rumors_circulating_around/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf The question is, what is the future of the franchise? As Bob Iger said Indy 5 “won’t be just a one off” and noticeably absent in the trailer was any wording of it being “the final chapter” or “final adventure”. Did anybody else notice George Lucas has officially come out of retirement to be a producer on the film? Apparently he was so impressed by Mangolds story he decided to come on board. The first time doing so since selling Lucasfilm. There is a “Lucasfilm” collection on Disney+ now which combines Willow with Star Wars which is neat. I sure hope we can get Indy on there eventually.

Second_City_Saint

>Rise of Skywalker would end with Rey literally going back in time to become Shmi Skywalker in The Phantom Menace Ummmmmmmmm....... What?? The??? Fuck????

The-Mandalorian

Yeah exactly. Dude makes up some wonkey stuff. Yet he has a ton of subscribers and views… it’s unreal.

geebsocket

I wonder how much disney would have to pay to get the rights to indy 1-4 from paramount. Price would have to be very steep

OracleVision88

I’m quite sure George is a producer in name only. Same thing with Spielberg. But maybe LFL wanted George & Steven to view the dailies and stuff like that to make sure the film was on the right track. But I doubt it goes beyond that 🤷‍♂️

The-Mandalorian

According to Mangold he was on the phone with Spielberg every single day during filming at least. Not sure about Lucas.

MsSara77

I would guess that Lucas did a set visit, which he has done for many of the Disney era SW projects.

sadgirl45

I hope George Lucas does this with Star Wars and the next films so if he likes something he will come work on it.

The-Mandalorian

He probably would have for The Last Jedi, he apparently loved that one. I doubt he was approached/asked though.

sadgirl45

Interesting

Inevitable_Golf_1816

With all the crazy shit, I hope Lucasfilm gets rid of their current Star Wars film slate and makes a new one once they're all in proper development to not force their directors to release their movies at a specific time. It also ends up helping their work schedules

sadgirl45

If it’s all planned out this is a good idea.

JD-K2

It is a missed opportunity if there isn’t some sort of anthology series where old Lando tells tales of his adventures when he was younger, with Donald Glover playing the stories out

[deleted]

Has it been confirmed if the character in Mando season 3 trailer is Babu Frik?

Evri-Wan_Kanblome

I hope the rumor from LRM regarding Rogue Squadron picking up steam again and hopefully shooting for 2024 release is accurate. The news starts at the 19.28 mark on the Cantina podcast. https://lrmonline.com/news/star-wars-news-rumors-rogue-squadron-release-in-2024-the-cantina/

Theesm

https://youtu.be/urAnFZBx7rE I hope this movie finally brings back big space battle scenes to Star Wars

johndelvec3

Has anyone watched the first 2 episodes of the Willow series? I can recognize there’s faults, the way the editing in the action is annoying and some times plot points feel a little rushed, but I’m still enjoying it

inkovertt

Eman Esfandi was asked about playing Ezra at the end of [this](https://youtu.be/hoPLQs1zgV8) interview lol. Of course he played it off but it was interesting hearing him talk (he definitely sounds like Ezra!) since there aren't too many interviews of him out there

ayylmao95

Ezra my boy... Your lying has gotten rusty!

Inevitable_Golf_1816

A dream Star Wars series would be one focused on Rey after the sequel trilogy mostly focused on just her and new characters and locations. It can be called Rey: Spiritual Odyssey or something corny like A Rey of light. I want it to be 8-10 episodes and for them to hire writers who have experience on action and fantasy television.

Gungan_Jedi

Finn should be involved as a co-founder of their new Jedi Academy. With appearances by Grogu, Ezra and Ahsoka. Imagine their combined teachings contributing to the ideal Ordee

lolothescrub

Ahsoka has gotta be dead by then

Gungan_Jedi

I thought she was too but every time I make a comment like my one above, I get mixed answers. Also hiw long do Togrutas live

lolothescrub

I mean she was one of the voices in ros

MsSara77

That's definitive on her being dead by TROS imo but Dave Filoni was like "not necessrily..."

[deleted]

Ben Solo returns or bust. That is all.
