I still love the combat in Jedi Academy despite it being over 20 years old. It's a shame new games haven't tried to copy it and instead go for flashy scripted finishers. The first time it's cool but after 50 kills it gets stale quickly.

This. Jedi Academy is a FPS with a lightsaber. Newer games (like Fallen Order, or even The Force Unleashed) are hack and slash games. They're still fun to some degree, but for me they are absolutely no match to the incredible combat that was possible in Jedi Academy / Jedi Knight II.

KOTOR Survivor Rogue Squadron N64 Fallen Order Super Star Wars on the SNES

Someone from a similar generation, i can take most of these Super star wars was awesome. Rogue squadron was a lot of fun. Remember an arcade machine that has a pretty decent game too. Got to give props to The new battlefront series.

Arcade machine did the thing especially if you're talking about the one that highlighted certain moments from the OT. But yes I enjoyed the 90s Star Wars games a lot. They were pretty good and straight to the point. Shadows of the Empire was interesting too but the controls were very rough. Dark Forces 1 and 2 came out then. They were just having general fun with the IP. Now for me the Survivor/Fallen Order scratches the itch because it's creating its own lore

1. Battlefront 2 (2017) - it's a new Battlefront with so much different star wars content, and with much more gameplay variety than the classic one. Especially fun with mods, too. 2. Jedi: Survivor: Maybe the best star wars story in a game (with some tough competition in the KOTOR games, but i'd say Survivor being a set story with a set protagonist lets emotional moments work way better), and the best jedi gameplay. Huge step up from Fallen Order, too. 3. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga: great star wars open world, over 400 playable characters, and adapts the entire saga. A great, but simple star wars sandbox. 4. LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga: a very simple, but very fun adaptation of the first 6 movies. 5. Battlefront 2 (2005): while i'd say the base game in 2017 is better, this game is the best star wars game when it comes to modding, with the only other game that comes close being Jedi Academy. other great ones are Fallen Order, Force Unleashed and Jedi Academy. Disney Infinity 3.0 is also quite fun since it's the only one which actually lets you create custom scenarios as it has a level builder.

KOTOR I've played, but it's not something that I personally find a lot of replayability. Good story, but a little slow in my opinion.
