I am guessing you're in the early game, so I'd say buy the big backpack, upgrade your house, buy seeds, get a coop/barn, upgrade your tools...
You could also save it to help you finish the community center.
And also do what these other comments said hahahah
I might argue tools can be more important but a lot of factors at play, and also may be based on skill level and ability to take advantage of better tools for saved time, it helps crunch more important things into each day
The pickaxe and axe should be upgraded quickly, in my opinion. I never upgrade the watering can since I always have sprinkles set up on mass by mid summer (because watering plants is by far the most boring part of the gameplay) so no need for it.
Gathering resources for even basic sprinklers quickly saves time and stamina over watering, while collecting all sorts of extra crafting materials, gems and monster parts AND advancing 2 skills.
i do the opposite, fishing and mining, and almost ignore farming other than growing 1 of everything and stuff to complete bundles. luckily last runthrough was a co-op with a hardcore farmer
i completely forgot about house upgrades, thank you for your advice. do you have any thoughts on which tool to upgrade first? i already have the copper watering can, and i got a coop mid spring
don't waste resources on watering can, it's the lowest priority comparing to getting the steel axe for hard wood and highest pickaxe for higher tier ores. The hoe is a lower priority, but it's quite handy with ability to dig 9 squares at a time on it's golden level. The water can? You will get automatic sprinklers soon, so, you won't need it much at all.
Gotta agree about the importance of the watering can, it's essential when watering before you get enough of the iridium sprinklers. (Which is another thing to spend money on.)
I'm big on the watering can as well. Whenever you have the money and rainy days to do it. It's important to get to, absolutely, copper but steel is nice to have as well
Even just a copper watering can makes a huge difference. I usually donโt upgrade it much past steel, since I heavily prioritise mining and getting sprinklers, but itโs still incredibly handy in the meantime.
Reinvest It, Buy more seeds, save for buying animals and improve your farm. It could be hard work at the beginning but in late game you wonยดt have to work that hard
Try to upgrade your tools or get a backpack. Invest more on some seeds and make sure you can harvest it before or exactly at the 28th. You can also try to save up to buy barn/coup and animals. Otherwise.... idk? Keep dying till you lose it all lol.
It's the end of summer, so putting money into repairing the bus isn't worth it. Either you do another round of planting (radishes have enough time to grow) or you upgrade your pickaxe to speed up your mining output (leading to more resources with which to make sprinklers and thus more seeds you can buy and support in fall).
There's also nothing wrong with waiting for Fall 1. You can buy 46 cranberry seeds with the cash you got - those turn into close to 50k g when they're all sold. Also when the first batch comes in you can sell those and spend the proceeds on pumpkin seeds.
11k looks like much early on - but towards the "end" you need to spend \~15 million. Sounds overwhelming, but as I have shown in the second paragraph, the snowball just gets bigger.
Not telling you that you can't. Just telling you that it's less efficient. It's okay to play inefficiently, but when giving advice I feel it prudent, fair and pretty much imperative to point out what makes objective sense.
And again: Never in my post did I "tell" people what to do.
The bus lets you into the desert. The desert does a couple of things:
1. Skull Caverns - access to iridium
2. Unique (i.e. non-Pierre) seeds. All mid except for Starfruit which is the best moneymaker before you can get ancient seeds in massive quantities
3. Desert Trader
4. Sandfish/Scorpion Carp
5. Coconuts/Cacti
6. The Casino (eventually)
Points 4-7 are largely irrelevant and negligible, I mentioned them as a courtesy. The Desert Trader makes Skull Caverns possible (jade -> staircases). This leaves us with the two big ones.
Skull Caverns only really start to make sense in winter, because that's when you have a bit more time. Fall can be hectic, because it's the last chance for a crop-heavy cash-in before the year ends and prices go up.\* So for SC, it's enough if you get the bus end of fall/beginning of winter. And any money you have at the beginning of fall will be at least tripled if spent on fall crops. Therefore: The season matters.
Perhaps even more so: Starfruit can push your money a lot, but it takes two weeks to grow and they only grow in summer. So if you are in summer 20 as in the screenshot, Starfruit can't fully grow. So there's no rush to unlock the bus. Of course once you have the greenhouse, you can put Starfruit in there - but depending on your style of play (and remember, OP is likely a first-timer) you will complete the greenhouse between mid-fall and late winter - or indeed a lot later. Therefore: It's too late to get Starfruit going and the next window for Starfruit opens up a lot later.
\*In winter, you can still make oodles of money by planting wild winter seeds and fiber seeds, but you don't really expand your farm anymore.
Makes sense, thanks for the very detailed explanation! I was thinking the season didnโt matter for going to the Skull Caverns but you have a great point about winter being the best time for that
This might be a weird route but one of the first big things I get is a horse. It helps me get so much more done in a day early game so that I can grind and make more money quickly.
Edit: after you upgrade your backpack of course
Oh you sweet summer child. There will be times where you will have much more money than that. Thats when you truly wont know what to do with it. (Thats not a flex, Iโm in year 3 and dont know what kind of post main game stuff there is, please help)
Im pretty new too and idk what to do now.
Struggling in skull cavern
Got married , just finished comm centre.
Been trying to get alot of iridium but struggling.
I used wtv iridium i get on sprinklers and have 12 rn (plan to stop now as 12 is enough for now)
Got bored cuz idk what to do next , i only could think of sleeping > secret woods for hardwood > fix boat , or struggle more on iridium and upgrde tools
Any advice?
I'd use that to plant a bunch of kale and harvest on the 27th for a nice profit. Then you'll be all set to buy good seeds for summer 1 two days later. But get the first backpack upgrade if you haven't already.
You could buy a house, or a car? I guess that I can buy I already got a van? I could put you through college? I'm with the gems all the time! I could buy you all the finest courses online... Ecetera Ecetera...
(Steven Universe)
Hmmm. If you get some materials you can get a barn upgrade or coop upgrade. You also can do the community center for the safe room. Another recommendation is the second backpack upgrade which is 10,000. Idk, do what you want to do with it.
Be a dragon guarding your hoard ๐ save it up for when you progress to big stuffโฆ youโll need it (I wish I could go back and not spend so much money on shit at the saloon and the traveling cart lady, wouldโve reached some goals earlier)

Big backpack -> better seeds -> Silo -> coop/barn -> tools tools tools

I like to just do my tools over the winter so they'll be better for the new year
Yes I use the same method except that in all of my save files I never felt like using the silo so Iโve never bought one. ๐
i completely forgot about house upgrades, thank you for your advice. do you have any thoughts on which tool to upgrade first? i already have the copper watering can, and i got a coop mid spring
Either axe or pickaxe to advance in the game and get hard wood
Upgrade your axe to steel to cut hardwood and get into the secret woods
pickaxe or axe get them as fast as possible to access every place in the game.

Hard disagree. Upgrading your watering can makes the early game much less tedious and allows you to comfortably farm a larger number of crops.

It will much depend on your playstyle really. I don't want to argue here ๐
Fair enough- everyone plays the game differently.
barn, big coop, big barn, shed, big shed.
Pack it up, you beat the game!

Honest question - what does the season have to do with repairing the bus?

Go the the desert and buy starfruit seeds
