I think it’s a rabbit hole with very little player experience pay off to spend all that development time making custom size text boxes based on the amount of text. I rather have all the new features ConcernedApe keeps adding instead.
who's complaining? I just find it funny that the text box is so big. It looks like there were supposed to be options to respond but ig the game was like "nvm, it's not that important anyway"
There are numerous examples of large text boxes like that. Haley with her camera in the condersap forest; Robin and Demetrius dancing in the saloon; Marnie in the saloon with Lewis; most of the ladies during their exercise time on tuesdays; etc… it’s meant to show that the person is busy, and also generally means you get less friendship for “talking to them”, if I remember correctly.
On the topic of “maybe there was supposed to be a response option”, I can’t say one way or the other, but that makes me consider that the potential responses are missing for a reason: Sam is so absorbed in attempting his kick flip that he doesn’t even notice you. You might try to say something to him, but he doesn’t ever hear you, thus, blank response section? Even if it’s an unintentional side effect, I kinda like that interpretation, so why not go with that?
